The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 119

Communicate

Mason awaited him by his office. His mother released his arm. She was aware that Mason desired to speak with him. Daisy had already expressed her concerns to him regarding potential backlash from her stepmother and sisters, and that the pack would treat them differently.

It appeared that being a family member of a traitor, like Daisy, resulted in an overwhelming sense of compassion. She wished no harm upon those whom he deemed undeserving.

Mason informed her that it was an Alpha decision and that Caelan was unlikely to revoke it. Which Caelan was not. Daisy was displeased but had to confront the situation.

The entire pack was now aware of what that reprehensible individual had inflicted upon his own daughter. The individual he had assaulted successfully persuaded him, the Alpha of the pack, to refrain from executing him for his transgression. He realised that he was alive solely because the person he had attempted to kill did not seek retribution.

Caelan believed it was excessively lenient of her; however, MASON had yet to persuade her in the past 24 hours. Caelan doubted that anyone would be capable of doing so. It was probable that John would spend his life decaying in his cell, serving as MASON and Larks’ plaything, as well as Caelan’s personal target for abuse.

Caelan would never permit her proximity to the man, regardless of her emotions. Whether she forgives him or not, Caelan would never absolve that man for inflicting harm upon her.

Daisy’s Perspective

She vehemently shook her head, recalling Caelan’s voice in her mind, revealing to the entire pack the transgressions her father had inflicted upon her. It would place her sisters and her stepmother in jeopardy. Wolves harbour disdain for traitors and even their kin. Her heart was pulsating within her chest.

Daisy exited her room and sprinted down the corridor, proceeding directly to his office. He was compelled to retract it, or forgive her sisters and stepmother. She observed that his door was ajar and entered immediately without knocking. Only MASON was present, positioned behind the man’s desk.

Caelan was absent; where was he? She had to implore him to reconsider and devise a method to capture his attention. Her frantic gaze encountered MASON’s.

She fervently desired to articulate her thoughts and was compelled to utilise the mind-link MASON to retract her statement.

“No, he does not,” he reclined in Caelan’s chair and crossed his arms over his chest.

“It is unjust; Rose and my sisters will be despised by the pack.”

What is your inquiry? He appeared utterly indifferent.

“Mason,” she implored, “that is unjust; it is not their fault.”

No, I suppose not. If they formally renounce him in this office and sever all ties, the issue will be resolved.

“They will never undertake that.” It will disintegrate their unity. It is inappropriate to request that Rose renounce her mate; do you comprehend the repercussions this would have on her?”

Affirmative. Liberate her from the encumbrance of her treacherous partner. Daisy was overwhelmed with the desire to vociferate at him.

He understood that was not her intended meaning. However, the anguish of a severed bond was anticipated to be excruciatingly intense. She had been fortunate to receive the goddess’s blessing of painlessness when severing ties with Caelan, yet she doubted that many shared her fortune.

Daisy was unable to vocally express her frustration, yet she had a strong desire to do so. Gazed at him, “Assist me, Mason, please; they are my family.”

“No, they are not.”

Indeed, Mason, they are. My siblings. You possess two sisters of your own. Assist me in rescuing them.

“They are capable of self-rescue, Daisy.” Allow them to act according to their desires.

“Would you terminate your relationship with your father?” She fired at him, incensed by his indifferent attitude towards her family. She was aware of his disdain for them, yet they remained her sisters.

If my father attempted to murder one of my sisters. I would eliminate him without hesitation, Daisy.

Daisy remained stationary, gazing at him; she discerned his sincerity from his tone. He was not joking; he would murder his own father. How could anyone contemplate undertaking an action akin to Mat’s? That was utterly irrational. It would cause pain to him, his mother, and his sisters.

I do not. What if she was at a loss for words with him?

“You lack comprehension.” It is straightforward, Daisy; a man capable of murdering his own child is also capable of harming anyone within the pack, thus he is no longer trustworthy. It is that straightforward; it must be recorded.

“However, what if there exists a valid justification?” Mason exhaled deeply, rose to his feet, approached her directly, gazed down at her, and elevated her chin to ensure she met his gaze. Daisy, what justifiable rationale exists for terminating one’s own offspring? “If you can locate one, perhaps you can alter my perspective.”

Daisy gazed up at him, uncertain of how to respond to that inquiry. She was uncertain and frowned, unable to respond to that inquiry.

“Daisy, did you provoke that man in any way to justify his assault on you?”

She declined with a shake of her head. No, as she had accomplished nothing and was aware of it.

“Thus, Daisy, there was no justifiable rationale for his lethal intent, was there?”

She acknowledged his perspective; however, it remained unjust, as her entire family would endure consequences due to his actions against her. It was highly improbable that Rose or her sisters possessed any knowledge of it until this precise moment.

“My sisters and stepmother do not merit this,” she implored him. Upon his silence, she realised he would offer no assistance, turned to depart in search of them herself, only to feel his hand grasp her arm. Negative, Daisy. I cannot permit you to approach them while you remain injured.

If you are determined to communicate with them, utilise the mind-link. Return to your room for the time being.

She was incredulous, questioning, “And if I disregard that?”
