The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 113

Comprehend

Daisy disapproved of his derogatory remarks regarding her father; notwithstanding his actions towards her, he remained her father. An explanation was necessary. Mason might personally escort her to visit him. Perhaps she could persuade him to disclose what had transpired. Why had he perpetrated this against her?

If they were unable to, that was the case. She was acutely aware that those two were likely inflicting torment on her father, which caused her distress. She understood that only a portion of them would seek answers.

Their primal, animalistic instincts would compel them to dominate him, assert their authority, and establish his subservience.

A portion of her speculated whether they had already obtained the answer and were now merely assaulting him for the sake of it. She sighed; it was not as she described; he had perpetrated an offence, and they would impose punishment upon him. She could easily envision Mason deriving pleasure from it.

Daisy conversed with her friends, who provided a welcome distraction, discussing various aspects of their lives, including how Petra’s youngest child had inserted a crayon into his nose at the urging of his older sister, who claimed he could not do so. He attempted to demonstrate otherwise, resulting in the necessity of its removal by the pack doctor, as it had been lodged so deeply that it was nearly irretrievable. Initially not amusing, Petra now found it hilarious a few days later.

They convened to deliberate on the forthcoming mating ball, the attire their two companions intended to don, their aspirations to discover their Mates, their fatigue with the prolonged anticipation, which subsequently led to a discussion about the Alphas who had attended, accompanied by their laughter.

Mason entered the room and smiled at Ella and Julie, saying, “Ladies, may I have a moment with Daisy?”

Both individuals arose and departed. She collided with him, placed a hand on her chest, and gazed up at him. “Apologies, Beta.” She fluttered her eyelashes at him, observing as Mason’s gaze shifted to the woman’s voluptuous breasts before he smiled at her as she turned and departed; the woman was unabashed. Observed Mason strike her on the posterior, prompting her to turn with a look of astonishment. Mason winked at her, prompting her to burst into laughter as she proceeded down the hallway.

Daisy arched an eyebrow at him.

“She’s quite audacious,” he remarked with a smile as he shut the door, “enjoys a good spanking.” Still unable to speak, she responded via the mental link, ‘Is she one of your girls?’”

“No, in fact, I have never.”

“Why not?” Appears receptive to it.

“Come on, Daisy, that is Cole’s younger sister; he cautioned me against this years ago.”

“What if he had not?”she enquired.

He smiled “genuinely” as he contemplated the matter. I genuinely appreciate the girl; she would probably make an excellent partner. It is unfortunate that she has not yet discovered one. “I will not compromise her for that man,” he said, raising his eyebrows at her in a suggestive manner.

Daisy smiled; Ella was undoubtedly mischievous and desired a companion as well. She had grown weary of waiting for him to arrive and concluded that he was not present, thus she was now freely exploring her options.

“I believe you genuinely have affection for her.”

He nodded, stating, “I do like her; she is truly delightful, but” he shrugged, “not my Mate.”

Daisy sighed; there were numerous unmated wolves in this pack, and she was convinced that Luna Elizabeth had organised regular mating balls. It was intriguing why so many remained unpaired. She also lacked one. Half of her acquaintances also lacked one.

“An issue was present.” She was certain of it. Mason seated himself beside her and gazed directly at her. Here we go, she contemplated, observing him transition from her friend to the pack Beta, a nuanced distinction evident not only in the tension of his jaw but also in his palpable demeanour.

“John is still alive, although I am displeased about it.”

“He is my father,” she exhaled through the mental connection.

“Not anymore, Daisy, not after this.” Indeed, Mason, he will perpetually be,” she amended him.

He was scowling at her now. “He fled and became a renegade, Daisy; he is no longer a member of the pack, merely a captive.”

Daisy’s eyes widened at his words. Her father had deviated from the norm; he was born into this pack and, to her knowledge, had a mate and two other daughters to protect. How could he forsake them so abruptly?

“Rose and my siblings?” She enquired, expressing concern for them at that moment.

“Satisfactory, to the best of my knowledge.” Although Rose is likely discontented with her union to a Rogue, their connection remains unbroken. Not an enjoyable experience. “Not to mention one being…” he left the sentence unfinished.

In anguish, she understood that he was about to articulate that one’s Mate could perceive emotions through the bond if the channel remained open and the connection was sufficiently robust. May I see him?”

“No,” he narrowed his eyes at her. “Why, on this divinely bestowed earth, would you desire that, Daisy?””

“He remains my father, Mason,” she responded; his words were inconsequential, for he would eternally be her father.

“No, he is not.” No longer. Cease referring to him in that manner, or I assure you, I will instruct Caelan to sever the bond between you two.” He articulated with evident anger, “I never wish to hear you address that man as your father again, do you comprehend? He was currently shouting at her. Extremely incensed regarding this matter.

She extended her hand and touched him, saying, ‘Mason, please comprehend.’

“No, Daisy,” he exclaimed, rising to his feet, “I cannot.” “He is not your father,” he bellowed at her before exiting the room in a fury, forcefully closing the door.
