The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 110

Present

He genuinely endeavoured to suppress his laughter. Oh, how the formidable and powerful creature he once was has now transformed into a gentle teddy bear. Extremely amusing. The unfortunate individual was in significant distress this time.

“What?”He irritably communicated through the mind-link.

Nothing, Caelan… I have simply never encountered you. be exceedingly… The considerate Mason selected his words with great precision, intending to jest about his behaviour concerning the woman.

He was admonished to be silent, realising he had struck a chord, precisely as he had intended. He had to suppress a laugh; he did not wish to disturb Daisy, especially after Caelan had lulled her to sleep so peacefully.

Informed him that John was awake, albeit in an unhealthy condition; however, Mason suspected that Caelan did not anticipate him to be well. He had heard that Daisy had already requested Caelan not to kill him. Her initial utterances. It irritated him, yet it did not genuinely astonish him. He had never witnessed Daisy express anger or raise her voice at anyone; she consistently prioritised the well-being of those around her. As a young girl, I wept for injured animals, often bringing home the smaller ones to tend to their needs and pray for their recovery, so they could be released back into the wild. Most of them had, surprisingly.

She smiled at him and stated, ‘When you pray to the moon Goddess, you must genuinely mean it, and she will grant your request,’ exuding confidence in her assertion.

Mason discerned that Caelan disapproved of the notion of leaving her here alone to awaken unaided. Presented his mother and subsequently taunted him by proposing Alex as their Gamma. She was indeed present in the Luna suite. She remained a Luna-ranked wolf, perpetually infused with an Alpha’s venom.

She continued to emit a scent reminiscent of a Luna to other Alphas, it seems. Alpha Luka had indicated as much, and when Mason concentrated on that, he too could perceive it; additionally, Alex had discerned something unusual when she observed her the other day, stating that she felt different to him. However, he was unable to precisely identify it. Caelan and Mason had both investigated the matter to some extent, yet they remained uncertain. Several options had emerged; he was choosing to leave the situation as it was for the time being. Her happiness was the paramount consideration.

Alex correctly surmised that her transformation was not solely due to her severed bond with Caelan; rather, it was attributable to an intrinsic change within her, evident in her eyes and the silver luminescence they emitted. He failed to comprehend the overwhelming force that emanated from her during her anger towards him. He understood that it was the sole aspect of her he comprehended. Nevertheless, she possessed a distinct quality.

Mason harboured significant doubts regarding her awareness of her differences; whatever that other aspect of her existence was, it was likely dormant or had remained unaccessed until now, or she possessed no knowledge of it. Alternatively, she may have been adept at concealing it. He was wagering on the former option, however.

Daisy’s Perspective

She opened her eyes and surveyed the room. Luna Elizabeth gazed directly at her, shutting a book in her hands and resting it on her lap.

“Greetings upon your return.”

Daisy exhaled deeply, momentarily perplexed by her words, before the memories of her father’s actions inundated her consciousness. He expressed a desire to kill her due to the actions of Caelan and Mason following his bite. She remembered his hand on her neck and the manner in which he had been constricting it. Her hand ascended to her neck. It remained sensitive and painful.

“You are satisfactory, Daisy.” Mason arrived promptly. As usual.

She gazed at her Luna, tears stinging her eyes. No, he had not; she remembered the sensation of dying, of darkness enveloping her; they likely had to resurrect her from that state. She opened her mouth and attempted to enquire about her father’s whereabouts, but was unable to produce any sound. Upon attempting to speak once more, she realised she was unable to do so; had he damaged her vocal cords? He had strangled her with such ferocity that her tears flowed in response to the brutality inflicted by her own father.

Luna Elizabeth assured her, “You will be fine,” as she reached out and grasped her hand. “In a few days, you will be able to speak normally again.”

“What is the reason?”Daisy enquired via the mental connection.

“What is the reason?” You may be posing several enquiries.

“Why am I unable to speak?”She enquired, her foremost concern.

She observed her Luna emit a slight, melancholic sigh. “Your trachea was compressed along with your vocal cords.”

Daisy bit her lip and closed her eyes, sensing Luna’s reassuring grip on her hand.

“You will be alright.” Maurice stated he would be as good as new in a few days.

Daisy merely nodded, yet even that motion induced discomfort in her neck.

Your father is responsible for this situation. Are you aware of the reason, child?”

She acquiesced. She explained, “He informed her that it was due to the retribution Caelan and Mason imposed on him for biting me.”

She heard Luna sigh once more, opened her eyes, and gazed at her. She frowned at Daisy, asking, “What about the reason he bit you?” I do not believe his punishment was the cause; he must have anticipated it, Daisy.

“I am uncertain as to why he bit me.” She believed he was approaching to apologise and requested a conversation with me; I did not anticipate that he would inflict harm upon me.

She appeared to contemplate Daisy’s statement, “Well, Caelan is with him; he will ascertain a solution.”

Agony and grief began to envelop her; Mason would probably murder him for this. This was exceedingly detrimental, and she failed to comprehend the origins of the situation. She was uncertain of Caelan’s actions, having experienced the most peculiar dreams during her unconscious state. Her mind had conjured peculiar images of Caelan being gentle and nurturing, attempting to console her; she was perplexed by her brain’s creation of an image of him kissing her tenderly. Caelan was not that type of individual.

It was a pleasant dream to witness him gaze at her in that manner. She had once yearned for that man to regard her in such a manner, but he never had, still did not, and would never.

She exhaled in frustration, overwhelmed by absurd, oxygen-deprived illusions. She was relieved it was merely a dream; another betrayal would have devastated Lydia.

This contemplation led her to question why Luna Elizabeth was present instead of Lydia.

I anticipated that Lydia would be the one present here.

“What is the reason for that?””

As the future Luna, shouldn’t she be present with me?“
