“It was John.” I possessed him, Caelan. That scoundrel informed me. It was a matter of her life or his. He was aware. He was aware of his actions towards her. I knew I would forgo killing him to also save her.
“He is destined to perish.” “I will personally eliminate him,” Caelan growled, with Hudson present on the surface.
“Caelan, it is her father.” “If you terminate him, she may harbour animosity towards you for it.”
Mason observed his Alpha in deep contemplation regarding his next course of action. He likely recognised that Mason was correct; her reluctance to admit that he had previously caused her pain could very well apply again. “It is cells then, until I obtain her permission; she had better grant it, Mason. This is…”
“I understand, but we must also ascertain the reason behind Caelan.” “Commence with the interrogation.”
Caelan affirmed, “He has not deviated from his allegiance.” It is essential to ascertain the source of the impending threat to him.
Mason asserted, “Definitely knows I am coming.”
“In other words, wagering on Daisy imploring me not to terminate him.”
MASON observed Caelan closing his eyes, aware that he was employing the Alpha to pack member tether to locate the man. “Oh, he’s moving, Joe.” And swiftly.
“He is in the process of running.”
“Indeed, directly towards the eastern border, which I presume is the nearest.”
“Let us pursue that individual.”
“Let us.” Caelan concurred without reluctance. They departed from the pack hospital to pursue that individual.
Caelan’s Perspective
Caelan was displeased by Daisy’s discussion of s*x in that manner and the mention of a drawer filled with toys. It prompted him to question whether she truly possessed one. He understood that the majority of she-wolves were inherently s****l beings with elevated libidos. It was entirely plausible, or was it a slight directed at him and his aircraft’s performance?
Hudson was attentive and appeared genuinely intrigued by her remarks regarding the soaking of her sheets at various times throughout the day. Not offended, it appeared to incite his wolf’s desire to mate with her and demonstrate his superior capabilities. The foolish wolf was activated, it seemed. Caelan, despite having an image implanted in his mind, dismissed it and felt predominantly irritated.
Both were aware of the experience of having her in bed, completely aroused and desiring him. The enjoyment they had provided her. Caelan shook his head to dispel his thoughts, affirming to himself not to pursue that line of thinking. He affirmed to himself, “Yes, proceed there.” Hudson snickered in amusement at him.
Caelan had endeavoured to avoid her in recent days, immersing himself in paperwork and telephone communications. He departed from the pack’s territory to formally inaugurate his new airline and conduct a press conference.
He inspected all his planes and verified their readiness; he was aware of their condition, but a thorough walk around the aircraft hangar served as a beneficial distraction from her.
Mason directed him to the location of the art studio, which astonished him significantly. The man selected a location that Caelan would frequently traverse, allowing him to sit and enjoy solitude. No one disturbed him while he was out here. His Alpha suite would possess a comprehensive view of it as well.
Mason could also observe it from his corner suite. Mason’s Beta Suite was located at the front corner of the eastern end of the pack-house, while Caelan’s Alpha Suite was situated at the back corner of the same end. Their two suites occupied the entire eastern corner of the edifice.
Caelan had never utilised it. He entered and observed it; it was pleasant, but there was excessive space for him. A five-bedroom apartment that was prepared for occupancy. At his mother’s urging, he selected furniture and a colour scheme, opting for a simplistic black and white palette. He had no genuine intention of utilising it unless he discovered his Goddess-Gifted Mate, at which point he would proceed to inhabit it. Even Lydia had not entered it. He had swiftly vetoed that. She was not his Mate; therefore, she was prohibited.
Upon acquiring his Mate, she possessed the ability to embellish it at her discretion. He was indifferent to either option. Provided it contained a spacious bed for their mutual comfort, he was indifferent to the remainder of the accommodations.
He appreciated the prospect of viewing the art studio from his office. It was pleasant to be able to monitor her continuously, both day and night. He could ensure her safety if he were able to see her. Hudson appreciated the notion, as being aware of Amelia’s whereabouts quelled his inner turmoil.
Caelan returned to his office to finalise the paperwork and communicated telepathically with the contractors in his pack, informing them that they could commence land clearing as early as tomorrow, provided they had the availability. His father had already created blueprints for the art studio. His inclination towards design was complemented by his architecture degree. He has designed almost every building in this collection since the age of thirty.
He designed a singular structure, featuring a glass facade to maximise natural light, equipped with a complete set of four folding glass doors that could be opened to allow the breeze to permeate the entire space. Although it may be somewhat frigid during the winter snowfall. Caelan was already aware that this would be the side orientated towards his office. He would be able to observe her effortlessly through all the glass.
The building featured a generously sized bathroom, complete with a bathtub, which was somewhat unusual. It was as it was. Inbuilt shelving extended along one side of the building. In a recessed area, where his father had arranged a couch, table, and chairs for guests, he surmised. A compact serving area featured a washbasin, refrigerator, several cupboards and included a coffee machine in the plans.
He was not well acquainted with Daisy. The woman abstained from consuming coffee. Tea, hot chocolate, and cold beverages were all available. A deck, measuring 2 meters in width, extended along the front, complete with patio furniture. His father appeared to be fully engaged in architectural pursuits.
