Rejected by the Alpha – Chapter 49

Well-being

Jessica’s POV

If I did not adhere to the alpha king. He threatened to eliminate the pack members if I attempted any subterfuge.

“I am certain you wish to retain those you cherish,” he asserted. I gazed at him for an extended duration. He is resolute in his intent to penalise me.

“Alpha, I implore you to pardon her on my behalf,” Uncle Darius beseeched. I implore you to grant her forgiveness.

“Anyone who advocates for her or implores me to grant her forgiveness will face severe repercussions,” he stated. “Do you all comprehend me?”

“Uncle, do not be concerned.” I am prepared to accompany him,” I whisper. Donald apprehended me.

“Let us proceed,” he stated. “Ensure the well-being of your daughter, Darius.”

The journey to his pack was as silent as a cemetery. I can sense his intense gaze onto my flesh. What is the reason for his gaze upon me? Did he desire additional punishments from me?

I am astonished that I ever harboured a crush on this creature, unaware that he was my mate.

“Don, accelerate swiftly. I am eager to exact retribution on this individual,” he murmurs.

I smirk and remain silent. Is he anticipating a response from me? He may impose any punishment he desires, but I shall return shortly.

“Affirmative, my sovereign,” he murmured.

“Descend immediately,” he commands as we arrive at his pack. “In this environment, your input is unwelcome. You must adhere to my pack’s regulations. Noncompliance will result in punishment.”

I believed I would be incarcerated. Why are you informing me of your pack’s regulations?I smirk. “What is occurring?”

“Observe closely, young companion.” He grabbed my face, compelling me to confront his unattractive visage. “I have no intention of incarcerating you.” I will grant you forgiveness if you rescind your rejection and acknowledge me as your partner. You may reside here with me as my queen and the pack’s luna.

I laughed audibly. Who does he believe himself to be? I ought to embrace him as my partner. I will categorically refuse to do that, even under the most extreme circumstances.

“I will never do that, you repugnant creature. I would prefer death to accepting you as my mate and alpha,” I declared. “I would rather be incarcerated than spend a moment in your company.” You repulse me, esteemed alpha king.

“You are excessively obstinate. I disdain women who possess an inflated self-regard,” he states. “You desire to learn your lesson through adversity, correct? I shall fulfil your request. You will soon plead for liberation.”

“Donald, deposit this object into the cell,” he instructed.

I was not forcibly pushed; I was softly guided. I can detect the repugnant, overpowering odour emanating from the cell, reminiscent of decaying flesh. The jail embodies the worst dread of every werewolf.

“I apologise,” he stated. “I am responsible for all of this.” I compel your presence here. I implore your forgiveness. I apologise.

I perceive his guilt. He believes he is the source of my issue. He did not place me here. I am the architect of my own circumstances.

“It is acceptable. You have committed no error, I murmur. “I absolve you, Don.”

“Thank you, please be patient with me,” he stated. “You will soon be liberated. I will conceive him.”

No necessity. I am capable of managing my circumstances. “Thank you,” I expressed.

He unlocked the jail door, allowing me to enter freely.

“I shall provide some sustenance for you,” he stated.

It is acceptable. I have dined, I murmur. You need not bring anything for me.

Following Don’s departure, I remained solitary in my cell. The temperature was so low that my teeth started to chatter.

“Jessica, Layne, summon me.” What are your emotions?

“Layne, will we perish from the cold if this continues?” I enquired of my wolf.

We shall not. Do not be afraid. I stand with you and will ensure your protection. I can perceive the footsteps of a somebody approaching my cell. “An individual is approaching,” Layne states. The steps halt at the entrance to my cell. I glanced upward solely to meet his stare. He is gazing at me. I can perceive the desire in his gaze.

“What do you desire from me this time?” I enquired of the alpha king who stood outside my cell door.

Why are you inflicting suffering upon yourself? He asked. “You ought to be in my room enjoying our time together rather than being confined in this frigid cell. How are you finding your stay?”

He is present to deride me. That worthless individual. I did not respond to him. I continued to gaze at the floor, disregarding him.

“I will ensure you regret instigating a confrontation with me and disfiguring my face,” he declared as he departed. I did not dwell on his words.
