I stared at them for a long time without uttering a word.
I look down at my hand. It was bloody. All I want is to train harder to kill my mate.

I step out to the pool-side. I never envisioned a life without my wolf.
A female with a dead wolf signifies nothing in the werewolf world. No matter how I try to look fine, I just can’t. Deep down inside me, I’m unhappy without her.
“I know you will be here.” I hear Jimmy’s voice. He’s approaching towards me.

He’s sincere. I guess he cares about me.

I wept uncontrollably in his presence. I am indifferent to my current appearance. I am unable to cease my tears when I recall the day she awakened and introduced herself to me. On the day of her demise, I can envision the suffering she endured just for my sake. Is it worth dying for?
Jimmy embraced me and offered solace. “You will be alright. You possess strength, Jessica. You will be fine.” I am uncertain how long I wept on his shoulder. He is a kind wolf in contrast to my reprehensible former partner.

I have ceased crying. Jimmy provides comfort. We remained by the poolside for an extended period in silence.

Upon his departure, I found myself solitary once more. I must take my shower. I rise and proceed to my room.

Zora was preoccupied with her phone upon my arrival.
