Luca eventually appeared, staggering and falling to the ground. He appeared dishevelled and exhibited bruising on many areas of his body.
“Luca!” I said, hurrying to his side; his eyes were wide, although he was breathing laboriously. “What transpired?” He appeared as though he had fled for his life during the entire night.
“Luca recounted, ‘The boy is in Tower Pack, and I nearly perished attempting to approach him sufficiently to inflict harm.'”
“Tower Pack?!” I exclaimed in astonishment.
Tower Pack was an inadequately developed pack located in the innermost region of the forest. Although they may be underdeveloped, they were feared for their expertise and superstitious practices. They practiced evil magic and possessed a rogue detector.
No renegade has ever entered their realm and emerged alive. Luca was fortunate to have survived. It is not surprising that he appears so fatigued. I am confident they pursued him vigorously.
“It is fortunate that you discovered the whereabouts of my half-brother. I will handle his elimination, so you need not concern yourself with that,” I stated to Luca.
“May I have a glass of water?” he exhaled.
“You must retrieve it yourself, as she is occupied and no one else is present,” I responded, then recalled something. “Luca, have you discovered what transpired with the warriors pursuing that…”
“Her partner?” Luca enquired, sitting upright, “are you referring to that individual named Jimmy?”
I felt my jaw tighten in fury when he referred to him as Jessica’s mate, but I ultimately chose to overlook it.
“Indeed, that fraudulent associate of hers. I have yet to receive a response from the warriors,”
“Regrettably, I must inform you that Jimmy fled to his pack, and your warriors audaciously pursued him. They were subsequently apprehended and slain by the warriors of the Moon Cast Pack.”
“What?!”
“Wait, there’s more. The individual named Jimmy you are pursuing is approaching her,” Luca stated, gesturing towards Jessica, “I fear he has discovered your whereabouts.”

The news I just received has pushed me into a profound, agitated state. I am astonished that the fraudulent associate is still alive and has even rejoined his group. I envisioned him deceased and decomposing in the jungle; I never anticipated that he would outwit my troops and return to his pack unscathed.
However, that is not the primary concern at this moment. Luca has just informed me that he discovered my location. It seemed inconceivable; how could that fraudster discover this island?
How did he acquire knowledge about it? This is unfavourable. This is entirely unfavourable. I must move swiftly; but, I cannot proceed without understanding how he discovered the existence of this secret island.
I am anxiously pacing, unable to compose myself.
“How did he discover this island?” I enquired with impatience. I required a plausible explanation.
“I am uncertain, but I believe your Beta conducted some investigation on his behalf. The individual named Jimmy and your Beta appear to have established an alliance,” Luca stated.
That foolish Don! I was aware it was him; he was the sole individual sufficiently proximate to investigate my actions and uncover something. I now hate appointing him as my Beta more than ever. He has often demonstrated his ineffectiveness.
As soon as I enter my pack, I will behead him and dismember him. His betrayal was inexcusable; he was a complete sellout, and I do not pardon sellouts.
I will eliminate both him and his obnoxious companion, and I will willingly consign them to perdition. Because that is where they were meant to be.
A multitude of notions inundated my mind, complicating the formulation of a strategic plan. My universe appeared to be destabilising, and I was concurrently losing my equilibrium. Numerous activities were available, although I was uncertain about which to prioritise.
Luca rose and into the kitchen, presumably to retrieve the bottle of water.
With a profound exhalation, I rushed to Jessica and commenced unbinding the rope.
“Are you departing?” I heard him enquire as he re-entered the eating room.
“Indeed, I must locate my half-brother; however, I cannot abandon Jessica, aware that Jimmy is en route. I shall never permit her to go to him,” I pledged, continuing to untie the ropes.
The excitement in her eyes was unmistakable. Now that she is aware her deceitful companion is alive, she will possess increased courage to challenge my statements.
However, as I already stated, I will never permit her to go to Jimmy. I will never permit them to attain the joyful conclusion they ardently desire. If today is my final day, I must take Jessica with me to the grave. I am fully prepared to sever her throat so that we may perish together.
We may create a reinterpretation of Romeo and Juliet, whereby Juliet harbours no affection for Romeo, and it is Romeo who ultimately takes her life.
