“What?! That is implausible. I witnessed their corpses being interred with my own eyes. Are you suggesting that they have returned to life?”
“No, not at all. However, it has come to light that there was an additional brother of whom we were previously unaware.”
“What are you referring to?” I was becoming increasingly irked by the startling revelation. I sincerely hope that it is not factual.
“You possess nine brothers, Alpha King, not eight. However, the youngest brother is illegitimate and has been concealed from the pack since birth.”
“What?!” I was astonished by his statement, “that cannot be feasible,”
“Your father fathered a child with an Omega who previously served in the palace, and he concealed the child to obscure his indiscretion.”
There was little doubt that Father engaged in s****l relations with his Omegas during his period of strength. He was an incorrigible Casanova; one could assert that he influenced my own transformation into one as well. It is hereditary.
How did he manage to conceal his illegitimate child so effectively that we remained completely unaware of his existence?
“What is the age of my illegitimate brother?” I enquired.

“What absurdity did you just articulate?!”

I tightened my fist in rage, overwhelmed by the impulse to kill. The elders should prepare for my return; I will ensure their skulls are mounted on stakes. How audacious of them to attempt to supplant me!
“That boy possesses the blood of an Omega. It is taboo to elevate him to Alpha status,” I exclaimed with disdain.
“They asserted it is the decree of the Moon Goddess,”
“Curse her!” I rose to my feet, pacing the confined area, “Yet those foolish elders have never dared to oppose me. They are quite intimidated by me, so I fail to comprehend how they have acquired the audacity to attempt to supplant me,”
“They possess the populace’s support and the endorsement of your Beta. Don is also implicated in this matter,” Luca conveyed to me.
Don? That insufferable sycophant! He proved to be a traitor. I regret not having slain him when I got the opportunity.
“Determine the boy’s location. I must reach him before the elders do. Regarding Don, I will eliminate him upon my return,” I commanded.
“Yes, boss,” Luca stood up, bowed, and exited the study. I overheard him conversing with someone and hurried outside to ascertain their identity.
It appears he encountered Jessica, and the shame evident in her eyes clearly indicated that she had been listening on our chat.
“I shall take my leave,” Luca remarked, casting a glance at me and Jessica before departing.
I redirected my attention to Jessica, and I was exceedingly enraged by her behaviour. How audacious of her to eavesdrop on our chat!
Jessica’s Position
I awoke moments ago to discover myself unclothed on the bed, with my legs splayed.
