I placed the pajamas on the bed and went to close the window against the strong wind and rain. Once it was shut, I stepped out and headed downstairs to the living room.
There, I saw Gabriella sleeping on her father’s lap while Grayson was still wide awake, his eyes full of energy. He sat beside Arlo, watching Tom and Jerry.
I cleared my throat softly, and Arlo lifted his face to look at me.
“Let me take Gabriella,” I said.
“I’ll carry her upstairs myself,” he replied.
I didn’t argue and let him carry Gabriella. He moved carefully, making sure not to wake her up. Grayson, too, looked sleepy. I saw him yawning repeatedly, his eyes finally starting to give in.
“The other one is getting sleepy too,” I said.
“Can you carry him?” he asked me.
My heart thundered in my chest under his gaze, so I averted my eyes.
“Yes, I can,” I answered. He didn’t move, seemingly waiting for me.
“Grayson, baby, let’s go upstairs,” I gently called out to Grayson.
“Where’s Daddy? Where’s Daddy?” Grayson asked, almost in a panic, thinking Arlo had left.
“I’m here, son,” Arlo reassured him.
“My Daddy,” Grayson said with a smile. When I was about to pick him up, he refused.
“I’m a big boy now, Mommy,” my son said, not wanting me to carry him.
I helped him stand and held his right hand as we made our way upstairs.
I opened the door to Gabriella’s room so Arlo could enter easily. Once inside, I fixed Gabriella’s bed and told Arlo to lay her down.
“Mommy, I want to sleep with you and Daddy tonight,” Gabriella said, leaving my lips slightly parted in surprise.
“Grayson, aren’t you a big boy?” i asked Arlo and I looked at each other.
Please, Mommy, please, for the first time, this is Mommy, you and Daddy, I can sleep next to you two. Alright, Mommy, please.” Grayson begged.
“Mommy me too,” I was surprised that Gabriella suddenly spoke asleep.
I keep panicking about me and there is no problem with Arlo sleeping next to me. Arlo is just crazy, maybe he doesn’t want me to sleep in the same room. Because until now he still doesn’t talk to me properly, I feel that he is very cold towards me.
“Mommy, Daddy.”
“Of course, baby, everything you want will be followed as I told you, twins. Daddy will come back.”
“Thank you, Daddy; tomorrow, I will introduce you to my friends and tell them that our daddy has arrived.” Grayson said happily, as if his sleepiness had disappeared.
Arlo picked up Gabriella again and we took her to my room, my bed was big and we could fit four or even five more. I also made Grayson lie down next to Gabriella.
“Good night, Grayson; good night, Gabriella.” I kissed them one by one. Arlo did the same.
I told Arlo that I would get his pajamas from the other room. He just nodded at me. I went out and took the pajamas from the bed again. The rain outside is still getting stronger, it’s a cold Christmas tomorrow when the rain doesn’t stop.
After a while,I gave Arlo the pajamas and showed him the bathroom.
“I’ll just get the twins’ milk in the kitchen.” You sit next to Grayson, and I’m with Gabriella. But if it’s not comfortable in the other room, I’ll sleep.” I said.
“I’m fine for kids.” He answered me.
Only with children and not with me. I looked at him and went out. When I was in the kitchen, I took the two bottle of the twins. I also drank water because I felt like my throat was drying up.
When my cell phone rang, I took it from my pocket.
Sister Violet: Lily, maybe Ethan and I won’t be able to continue because the rain will go there until tomorrow.
Me: It’s okay sister even if it’s raining hard here.
Me: Sister Arlo is here, her memory is back.
Sister Violet: OMG aren’t you kidding?
Me: No.
Sister Violet: Let’s talk tomorrow, maybe I’ll bother you all, you’ll tell me that nothing is missing and nothing is too much.
Me: Sister.
Sister Violet: Byee.
I just shook my head because I have to prepare myself for tomorrow, it’s a good thing there’s a typhoon, otherwise sister Violet will actually fly here.
I went upstairs. When I opened the door, Arlo was in front of the door, to my surprise, my face sank into his hard chest. I can smell her addictive perfume. If he didn’t catch the two bottles I was holding I would definitely let go.
