Dr. Sophia – Chapter 347

Current

Public opinion quickly shifted.

Richard actually resorted to such despicable methods to frame Livinus? People couldn’t forget that Livinus had millions of devoted fans. How could they tolerate him being falsely accused? Outrage spread online, with netizens flooding the internet with messages condemning Richard. Meanwhile, the Scott family’s reputation soared.

As for Richard, he was still in shock after receiving the official test report and reading the forum post.

“Impossible! I was extremely careful with this! There’s no way anyone could have found out! And how could Livinus have replaced all the medicine? Where did things go wrong? How could all the samples contain aged tangerine peel over twenty years old? Where did the three-year-old peels go?”

His face darkened as he recalled the press conference from the previous day, where he had stood there like a fool, unable to believe what was happening.

Where did the plan go wrong? Why did the test results show that the tangerine peel was completely fine?

His assistant felt anxious. He had an ominous feeling—he and Richard were in this together. If Richard fell, he wouldn’t be able to escape unscathed either.

Hearing the test results, Andrea’s expression also turned grim. She was so enraged that her chest began to hurt again.

“Mom! What’s wrong?” Olivia asked.

Andrea’s face was gloomy. This was a crucial moment, and losing momentum now would be a terrible setback.

“At least we still have the will. Even if we didn’t, the old man is as good as dead. The moment he dies, this will works in our favor.”

Olivia calmed down. Ever since she had given birth to a daughter, Andrea’s attitude toward her had changed significantly. However, as long as she wasn’t kicked out of the Scott family, she would stay until the day she got her share of the inheritance.

The baby was hungry and cried for milk. As Olivia nursed her, she winced in pain and snapped in frustration:

“You’re really my karmic enemy! All you ever do is eat!”

As a celebrity obsessed with beauty, she hated breastfeeding. But Andrea insisted that b****t milk was best for the baby. Olivia already felt inferior for not having given birth to a son, so she dared not argue and begrudgingly complied, though she was deeply reluctant.

Andrea frowned at her. “The baby is hungry. Just feed her!”

For the next few days, Sophia secretly treated the old master at night. Livinus kept the news under wraps, ensuring even the Scott family remained unaware of his recovery.

The old master’s condition improved significantly. Although his speech was still slurred, he could now communicate roughly.

“Come on, let me massage your feet.”

The old master snorted coldly. “Don’t think you can win me over just like that.” His words were unclear, but Sophia understood him.

She rolled her eyes. “Who’s trying to win you over? You’re just an old man on his deathbed—why would I even bother?”

“You insolent girl!”

“Yes, yes! I’m an insolent girl. But look at you—you’re so sick that aside from me, who else would take care of you?”

The old master huffed in anger, his beard trembling.

“If you keep treating me like this, I’ll leave you to the nurses. I heard they abuse the elderly.”

“You…” The old master was furious. “You wicked girl! You’re the one who bewitched Livinus into marrying into the Smith family!”

His words were unclear, so Sophia didn’t immediately understand. After a moment, she realized what he meant.

Livinus said he would marry into the Smith family? Sophia quickly pieced things together and smirked.

“No wonder he’s the man I chose!”

“Shameless!”

“Oh, you’re just realizing that now? But guess what? This shameless woman has the love of your most beloved son!”

The old master was so enraged that he nearly blacked out, lying there motionless, ignoring Sophia.

The next day, the old lady examined the old master’s legs and smiled.

“After Sophia’s massages and acupuncture, your legs have improved a lot. They used to cramp badly, but now your hands and feet move normally, and there’s nothing unusual about your legs anymore.”

The old master snorted coldly. “That insolent girl, what medical skills does she have?” If he weren’t struggling to speak clearly, he would never lose an argument to that woman!

In the following days, the old master was already able to sit up. He often sat there staring at the doorway, sometimes refusing the caregivers’ service, saying they didn’t do things properly.

Because of this, the old lady would frequently say to Sophia, “Although he’s stubborn, I know he actually likes having you around. Just look at him—staring at the doorway every day and complaining about the caregivers. But what he really means is that they’re not as good as you!”

Sophia smirked. Elderly people often needed to be coaxed, but the old master was an exception. Given his current state, their daily bickering provided him with something to look forward to, allowing him to vent his emotions—which was beneficial to his health.

“I’m here!” Sophia announced as she walked in.

The old master turned his head away, pretending not to see her.
