Dr. Sophia – Chapter 316

Entrance

Back at home, Livinus watched as she packed her things.

“Still not done?” he asked.

“Almost,” Sophia smiled, her eyes glinting with determination.

“This is my first time meeting your family, so I have to dress for the occasion.

If I don’t take this dinner seriously, people will say I’m being disrespectful.”

Livinus’s lips curved into a faint smile, but he said nothing.

How could he not see what she was thinking?

Was this really her first time visiting his family?

She was probably more familiar with that house than he was.

Ten minutes later, Sophia was finally ready.

Livinus pulled her into his arms and asked, “All set?”

“I hope I won’t embarrass you, President Livinus.”

Tonight, Sophia wore a sleeveless red knit top with high-waisted black shorts.

The bold red color made her fair skin look even more porcelain-like.

“Isn’t that outfit too tight around your stomach?” Livinus observed.

“Did you forget my profession?”

Livinus scoffed.

“You may not be new to dealing with pregnant women, but this is your first time being a mother.”

With that, he leaned over and fastened her seatbelt for her.

Sophia smiled faintly.

Outside, the sun was scorching.

She had been in this world for almost a year now.

So much had happened.

She wondered if her original self had taken her place in another timeline.

Before she knew it, the car entered the Scott family’s estate.

After more than six months, everything looked exactly the same.

It was as if time had been frozen.

The trees were just as lush, the sun just as bright, and the servants still just as lifeless.

As Sophia stepped out of the car, she squinted at the grand mansion ahead.

The house was still the same.

But this time, her status was different.

She was truly looking forward to their reactions.

While Livinus parked the car, Sophia walked toward the entrance.

As soon as she stepped inside, she saw Housekeeper Lizzy mopping the floor.

Upon seeing her, Lizzy face immediately darkened.

“What are you doing here? Who invited you? Our Scott family does not welcome you!”

Before Sophia could respond, a familiar voice rang out.

Olivia had arrived.

She froze for a moment, then frowned.

“Why are you here? Sophia, this is the Scott family!

You were already thrown out—how dare you come back?

Do you enjoy being humiliated?”

Olivia was heavily pregnant.

Her due date was near, yet her labor hadn’t started.

Her pregnancy had made her gain a lot of weight, and her eyes were slightly swollen.

Most pregnant women radiated maternal warmth, but on her, it only made her look more bitter and sharp.

Sophia smirked.

“I wouldn’t be here if I weren’t invited.

So you don’t need to concern yourself.”

Olivia hesitated.

“Someone invited you? Impossible!

Henry doesn’t talk to you anymore, and no one else in the Scott family is close to you.

Since you left, even the elders never mentioned your name.

I’m warning you—don’t play games.

Just because you make up an excuse, don’t think you can just walk into the Scott family!

No way!

I’m Henry’s wife, the Scott family’s young madam!”

She then stepped in front of the door, blocking the entrance.

“You’re not allowed in!

Housekeeper Lizzy, watch the door!

The Scott family isn’t a place where just any stray dog or cat can wander in!”

Housekeeper Lizzy stiffened and stood her ground.

“No one is allowed to enter without Madam permission!”

Olivia continued, smug and condescending,

“Today is a special occasion—President Livinus’s girlfriend is visiting for the first time.

She’s going to be the future lady of the house.

The old madam has already instructed us to welcome her properly.

We can’t have some low-class person lowering the Scott family’s standards.”

Olivia folded her arms, feeling victorious.

Even though Sophia had divorced Henry long ago, Olivia still saw her as an enemy.

She couldn’t stand the thought of Sophia doing well.

She wanted nothing more than to see her miserable—to see her living in poverty and despair.

Not even Kim Brown had made her feel this level of hatred.

To her, Sophia was a threat that had to be crushed.

In the past, Sophia had looked down on her, calling her a mistress, a homewrecker.

But now, look—Sophia had been kicked out.

Olivia smirked.

She might not be in the best position herself right now, but at least she was still living in the Scott family’s luxurious estate.

She was officially Henry’s wife, carrying his son.

Once she gave birth, her life would only get better.

If the Scott family treated Miss Emily’s son so well, they would treat her child even better.

One day, she would be someone Sophia had to look up to.

She raised her chin arrogantly, smirking at Sophia.

But throughout the entire exchange, Sophia remained calm, simply watching her.

Just then, Livinus appeared at the entrance.
