Dr. Sophia – Chapter 3

The Onlookers

The public had already called the police. It was Saturday noon, and the road was so congested that the ambulance couldn’t get in. But the woman’s face turned pale, and she looked like she couldn’t hold on any longer.

A group of High girls with school bags gathered around.

“What should I do? The teacher seemed to have said that acupuncture can treat it, but I’m not sure about the acupuncture points.”

There were no professional medical staff on the scene, and the people around urged:

“Girl, are you a student of the Medical University? Just give it a try to see if it works. I think you should give it a try! Maybe it will work.”

The little girl nervously took out the needle, sweating profusely. To her shame, although she had learned acupuncture, her medical skills were not up to par after all. Besides, it would take at least 58 years of medical school to learn it. She remembered the acupuncture points very clearly, but they were not 100% accurate. How could she dare to joke about a matter of life and death?

“I…what if…”

“Let’s try! The traffic is so bad! We won’t be able to wait for the ambulance to come!”

“Yeah! Let’s try it!”

The people around her kept trying to persuade her, but now the woman suddenly rolled her eyes, and her body twitched; her condition was very bad.

The little girl gritted her teeth and said, “Then I’ll try! The teacher said that in this case, you should get a piercing…”

She gestured and was about to insert the needle, but before the needle touched the skin, it was blocked by a hand stretched out from the side. She looked up and saw that the other person had fair skin and delicate features. She was an extremely beautiful woman, so beautiful that she, who was originally feeling hot in her heart, suddenly felt a breeze. The little girl was stunned, but she saw the beauty smiling and said:

“When inserting the needle, be steady, firm, and accurate!”

After saying that, he took the silver needle and quickly inserted it.

The little girl’s eyes widened! What did she see? The legendary flying needle technique?

Beatrice is a student at the Florida Medicine Hospital of Medical University. She learned a lot of theoretical knowledge about acupuncture in college, but the actual operation always differs from what she imagined. She always feels that she can’t find the acupuncture points.

Even if she finds them, the unskilled technique makes the patient uncomfortable. But this Woman is different. In her hand, a small needle becomes a weapon in martial arts novels. She holds the silver needle and uses the rotation of her wrist and the light twist of her fingers to insert the needle into the patient’s acupuncture point instantly. The speed is so fast that Beatrice has the illusion that she is reading a martial arts novel.

This flying needle technique is amazing!

At that moment, the patient convulsed more violently. Sophia quickly inserted the needle into her philtrum and tiger’s mouth for first aid. After the needle was inserted, the patient’s fingers moved, showing signs of waking up. Sophia then held her wrist and took her pulse.

“This…what happened to her?” Beatrice and her classmates were anxious.

Sophia said nothing, picked up the needle, and aimed it at the patient’s belly. Just as he was about to stab it, he was pushed away by someone.

Looking up, a middle-aged woman wearing brown glasses was glaring at Sophia and said unhappily:

“What are you doing? Why are you, a medical practitioner, getting involved in emergency treatment? Besides, do you know health? Are you sure you can get the acupuncture points right? What if something goes wrong? Can you take responsibility?”

Sophia frowned, and before he could say anything, he saw the girl with glasses folded her hands, pressing the patient’s chest to give her first aid.

After first aid, the patient groaned a few times.

“Western medicine is indeed the best!”

“Western medicine is still needed for emergency treatment!

Everyone was talking about it.

The girl with glasses snorted at Sophia :

“It’s a matter of life and death; you can’t just act rashly. Besides, didn’t you see the patient’s stomach?”

Everyone was staring at the patient’s belly. Even though she was lying on the ground, the bulge of her belly was very obvious. It looked like she was about to give birth. If the needle had been inserted incorrectly, there would have been two deaths. This was no joke.

Besides, this little girl is so young. Who among the famous American medicine practitioners is not gray-haired? What can a little girl like her know about acupuncture? She should be a half-baked one. If she continues with this level…

Everyone couldn’t help but feel scared.

The woman with glasses continued to lecture him, “The patient was obviously pregnant, and you actually stuck an injection into her belly. What were you thinking?”

Everyone nodded when they heard this, agreeing with the woman. Come to think of it, this girl really didn’t know the seriousness of the matter. Even if she was a doctor, she couldn’t give acupuncture to a pregnant woman’s belly, right?

Sophia was not annoyed, but just curled the corners of his mouth slightly and chuckled, “Who told you that she is pregnant?”

“Do I need to tell you this? Didn’t you see how big her belly is? Based on my many years of experience, she is at least 38 weeks pregnant.”

The onlookers echoed:

“It’s really a long month.”

“My daughter-in-law’s belly is about the same size as hers, and it’s 39 weeks.”

“It should be the second child, right? Her eldest son looks like he’s already five or six years old.”

Seeing that everyone agreed with her, the woman glanced at her and snorted, “I can tell from the looks of it that you’ve never given birth! Do I need to tell you with your belly like this? It’s obvious that you’re about to give birth.”

Sophia curled his lips: “Whether she is pregnant or not, you can ask the person directly.”

At that moment, the woman lying on the ground opened her eyes with difficulty. Some of the onlookers held umbrellas to shade her from the sun, some fanned her, and some even used ice cubes to cool her down.

When the patient woke up, the woman with glasses asked quickly, “Are you okay? The ambulance will be here soon. Stay strong! Even for the sake of the baby in your belly, you have to hold on!”
