When soaking in a bath, time always seems to pass quickly. Sophia had a very healthy body and didn’t really need to use baths for health or beauty purposes. To her, a bath was just a bath.
After finishing her soak, her body felt soft, and the effects of the alcohol gave her a slightly tipsy feeling.
She stood under the showerhead, rinsing off while staring at herself in the mirror, somewhat lost in thought.
Without a doubt, under her meticulous care, this body had become even more beautiful than before. Her skin was flawless, smooth to the touch, and her figure was impeccable—curvaceous and vibrant, radiating energy from the inside out. She looked even more dazzling than before.
After putting on her bathrobe, Sophia stared at her full chest and couldn’t help but sigh.
Even her chest had grown a cup size. Honestly, she felt that being smaller would have been better.
She thought the robe would conceal her charms, but to her surprise, her body wrapped in the robe exuded a unique sense of restrained allure.
Her chest seemed ready to burst out, irresistibly seductive.
“Forget it,” she muttered, deciding to change into something more conservative.
When she opened the bathroom door, Livinus, sitting on the sofa, turned his head, his gaze intense. “Done?”
“Mm.”
Sophia tossed her hair, wiping it with a towel. Ever since she came to this world, she hadn’t cut her hair. After several months, it had grown quite long, and she figured she needed to find time to get it trimmed. Washing it every time was becoming a hassle.
Standing in front of the mirror, she began blow-drying her hair. Livinus walked over, picked up the hairdryer, and said, “Let me help you.”
Sophia froze slightly, raising an eyebrow.
Since when did Livinus become so considerate? In her memory, he was the typical domineering CEO—cold and unfeeling, with no regard for others. Women like Miss Maggie in the past and Kim Brown more recently, not to mention others she might not even know about, kept throwing themselves at him. Yet, if Livinus wasn’t interested, he wouldn’t even look at them twice—utterly ruthless.
But now, this cold-hearted man was holding a hairdryer, drying her hair.
“Ah…” Sophia winced, covering her head.
“Did that hurt?” Livinus frowned lightly, realizing that women’s hair was surprisingly difficult to manage, especially when it was wet. His fingers could feel tangles, unlike the smoothness when it was dry.
“A little.”
“I’ll be more gentle.”
Livinus carefully continued blow-drying her hair, though there were still moments when the dryer got too close, causing Sophia’s scalp to ache or his rough actions yanked her hair, making her wince.
All in all, Livinus thought this was the most unsuccessful thing he had ever done in his life.
“How about I do it myself?” Sophia tentatively suggested.
“Practice makes perfect. I’ll get used to it.”
For some reason, the phrase “get used to it” gave Sophia a foreboding feeling. Why did she feel like Livinus was falling for her? Could it be that men really are ruled by their lower bodies? Did one night together make him unable to forget her?
It wasn’t that she was heartless. Being with Livinus wasn’t a bad option when she thought about it. At the very least, she could enter the Scott family openly, making that idiot Scott Henry call her “auntie.” She’d be on equal footing with the wicked stepmother, Andrea, who would have to respect her. Whatever she did, she’d have someone powerful backing her up—a golden ticket, so to speak.
But the issue was…
What truly worried Sophia was that she was a transmigrator. She had already ended the original owner’s marriage. If she were to return to her original world one day suddenly, what would happen to Livinus?
The sound of the hairdryer stopped, pulling Sophia out of her thoughts. She chuckled to herself. Since she was here, she might make the best of it. Overthinking didn’t suit her. For all she knew, the original owner had taken over her body and was living out her own destined romance.
—
“Sophia…” The man’s voice, tinged with desire, echoed in her ear.
Sophia snapped back to reality, noticing Livinus’s gaze had grown intense.
“Hmm?”
Without saying another word, the rest of his sentence was swallowed by a kiss.
Livinus pulled Sophia into his arms, his hand caressing her waist, and rested his chin in the crook of her collarbone. Sophia had just bathed, and with the warmth of the heated floors, she had opted for a thin nightgown, which now made things much easier for him.
His stubble grazed her neck, creating an entirely new sensation for Sophia.
Her body trembled, instinctively tense yet undeniably responsive to his touch.
Her body betrayed her thoughts, accepting him before her mind could catch up.
Livinus’s kisses were devastatingly intense, igniting a fire within Sophia. He kissed from her lips to her earlobe, then moved down to her neck, fanning the flames even further.
At some point, the two found themselves on the sofa.
Livinus pinned her beneath him, impatiently tugging at her clothes before cupping her face and kissing her deeply.
Sophia let out a muffled moan, feeling his hand slide under her clothes.
