Dr. Sophia – Chapter 138

Blind Date

So, Olivia only needed to wait a little longer.

The fight was inevitable, but she planned to fight within the house while keeping a low profile outside.

With this mindset, Olivia managed to coexist peacefully with Sophia for a few days after moving in.

Recently, Olivia had been trying to curry favor with Andrea, accompanying her for walks and chats, and ingratiating herself with the elder Mr. and Mrs. Scott. Her knack for ordering people around made her seem more like the lady of the house than Sophia.

Andrea, however, wasn’t having an easy time these days either.

A few days ago, the police came by to gather information. Sophia guessed it was related to the incident at the bar and suspected they had traced it back to Andrea, requesting her cooperation in the investigation. Although Andrea feigned calmness, Sophia could still sense her unease.

Andrea made a trip to the police station, but thanks to Scott Richard’s connections, she was quickly released.

Sophia hadn’t expected Andrea to actually face jail time. For wealthy families like the Scotts, money could smooth over anything. Finding someone to take the fall wasn’t difficult. Even so, Sophia quietly added this incident to her mental ledger.

One day, Andrea would have to pay for this.

Over the next few days, Scott Henry had been discreetly observing Sophia and Scott Livinus. Sophia, however, remained unaware because Scott Henry barely registered on her radar. *Who pays attention to someone as insignificant as air?*

One day, Mr. Scott exchanged a glance with his wife, who immediately said:

“Andrea, didn’t you mention introducing a match for your Livinus a few days ago?”

Andrea smiled. “Yes, the woman is 25 years old, comes from a good family, and has an excellent reputation. She’s a graduate of a prestigious university and is also a well-known dancer. She’s beautiful, has a great figure, and perfectly matches my brother-in-law.”

Scott Livinus kept his head down, showing no reaction.

His Mother smiled and said, “Livinus, what do you think? Dancers usually have great poise and elegance. She’s beautiful and would probably give birth to beautiful children. Your children will carry high expectations, so choosing the right wife is important.”

Andrea’s expression shifted slightly at these words. Scott Livinus wasn’t even married yet, and his mother was already talking about children.

Compared to him, no matter how hard she schemed her entire life, Andrea couldn’t match even one of Scott Livinus’s fingers.

Lately, Scott Richard had been facing numerous troubles, earning public warnings from his father. His scandals had caused Scott Corporation’s stock to drop repeatedly, nearly driving his father to kick him out. Andrea had been working tirelessly to gain favor and secure a better future for her son. With the second and third branches of the Scott family watching for any opportunity to strike, if they were ousted, the vacant position would undoubtedly be filled by someone else.

“Brother-in-law,” Andrea said, trying to sound sincere, “I hope you don’t mind me interfering, but this woman really has outstanding qualities! She’s beautiful, sensible, and has a great personality. Her reputation in our circles is excellent. I’ve done my homework—she doesn’t engage in any frivolous behavior and is very conservative. She’s truly an ideal candidate!”

Andrea studied Scott Livinus’s expression. In the past, he had outright dismissed any matchmaking attempts.

Scott Livinus continued eating, his tone indifferent. “Is she an American?”

Andrea, seeing that he responded, knew he was interested. She smiled immediately.

“Yes! Her parents are university professors who later transitioned to business. While her family isn’t comparable to the Scotts, they are still well-off. With her excellent upbringing, I think she’d make an ideal wife.”

More importantly, this woman was distantly related to Andrea’s maternal family. If the marriage happened, it would benefit Andrea as well.

Scott Livinus remained silent for a long time.

The atmosphere at the table grew heavy.

When Andrea thought he was about to refuse, he unexpectedly said, “Then I’ll trouble you to make the arrangements.”

Andrea was overjoyed. “How about Wednesday? You two can have dinner together!”

Scott Livinus responded with a simple nod, not rejecting the idea.

Sophia, sitting nearby, was momentarily stunned but quickly lowered her head.

For a man like him—still unmarried in his thirties—going on arranged dates was a perfectly normal thing.
