She suppressed her anger and asked, “What do you plan to do?”
Scott Richard was overwhelmed. In just a short time, he had received over twenty phone calls. Paparazzi swarmed the entrance of Scott Corporation, and as soon as he arrived at the underground parking lot, he was bombarded with questions about whether the “grandfather-granddaughter romance” was true!
He and Ms. Emily were clearly in true love. Ms. Emily had always been so kind and caring toward him. Why were the media so fixated on their age difference?
When his wife called, he impatiently replied:
“What do you mean, what do I plan to do? What can I do? If I find out who took these photos of me, I won’t let them off!”
“Who took them? I think it’s that Ms. Emily! Otherwise, how could anyone have so many photos of you two?” Andrea was shaking with anger, her legs trembling uncontrollably.
“Impossible!” Scott Richard glanced at Ms. Emily, who was crying beside him, and felt pity. “Ms. Emily isn’t that kind of person.”
Her husband’s scandal hurt Andrea less than those words.
Even at this point, he was still defending that woman.
“Do you… do you want to drive me to my grave? The old man’s health hasn’t been good lately. If you cause him stress with this mess and lose your share of the inheritance, what will you do then?”
This struck a nerve for Scott Richard, and he angrily threw his phone aside.
Ms. Emily cried, “Who could have taken those photos of us? Our love is so pure. Why do so many people misunderstand us and call us disgusting? What’s so disgusting about us?”
Scott Richard held her tightly, comforting her, “Don’t cry. I’ll handle this! All you need to do is stay behind me.”
But Ms. Emily kept crying.

Looking at the news online, Sophia felt calm. That’s more like it! It wasn’t fair for her to suffer alone while they comfortably watched TV at home. This development aligned perfectly with the rules of a good story!
Online, many people criticized Scott Richard for being shameless. They mocked him for being so old yet still cheating, especially with someone younger than his son. They even speculated that Ms. Emily was only with him for his money.
Some even joked that infidelity must run in the Scott family.
The father is shameless, and the son is no better!
Tsk tsk! No wonder they’re family!
Sophia was delighted by these insults.
Even her mood while attending to patients improved.
“Dr. Smith! Here’s some braised pork my family cooked. I brought you a portion to try.”
“Dr. Smith, these are apples from our orchard. I brought you some.”
“Dr. Smith, I study landscape design. How about I redesign your garden?”
“Dr. Smith, you shouldn’t be cleaning up! Let me do it!”
Sophia was amused by her patients’ enthusiasm. How could they all be so thoughtful?
It made her feel guilty about wanting to hang up a sign saying she’d only see five patients daily.
It was lunchtime, and the people waiting outside took out portable stoves to cook their meals.
The aroma wafted in, making Sophia hungry.
Just as she was thinking about food, a beautiful woman in a red dress walked in with a lunchbox.
“Joanna?”
“Miss Sophia.”
Joanna placed the lunchbox on Sophia’s desk and turned to the others. “Dr. Smith needs to eat. Please wait for a bit before seeing her!”
The patients dispersed without complaint.
Sophia smiled as she opened the lunchbox. It was an Italian-style bento box, beautifully decorated and looking more like an antique than a lunchbox.
The aroma was tantalizing.
Looking at the exquisite meal, Sophia said with a smile:
“Ms. Joanna, where did you order this from? Let me know, and I’ll order it myself next time. You don’t need to trouble yourself to deliver it.”
“Well…” Joanna’s eyes twinkled mischievously as she said, “This was ordered by Boss Livinus. I don’t know the contact details. Besides, if you don’t let me deliver it, I’ll have no excuse to leave the office and stretch my legs!”
Sophia chuckled. “Want to join me?”
“I’ve already eaten.”
Today’s meal included four dishes: boiled broccoli, stir-fried corn kernels,, and mushrooms with greens.
“Wow! Even the fried egg is heart-shaped!” Joanna teased, raising her eyebrows. “Who would’ve thought Boss Livinus has such a romantic side when ordering takeout?”
Sophia smiled. The food tasted excellent, especially since it wasn’t greasy or heavily spiced, unlike typical restaurant meals. The broccoli, for instance, was simply boiled—very healthy.
“How is it?” Joanna asked curiously.
“Very refreshing and healthy. The chef must know a lot about wellness.”
Half an hour later, Joanna relayed Sophia’s comments to Scott Livinus.
“Miss Sophia said the chef must be very knowledgeable about wellness!”
“Is that so?”
Without looking up, Scott Livinus’s calm demeanor dampened Joanna’s enthusiasm, and she awkwardly shrugged before leaving the room.
After she left, Scott Livinus suddenly raised his head. His lips curled into a faint smile, his eyes brimming with amusement.
“Very knowledgeable about wellness?”
She was certainly observant!

Unbeknownst to her, Director Jake’s grandson had been on medication for ten days.
Sophia calculated the time and, instead of waiting for Director Jake to call her, decided to visit the hospital early.
When she arrived at 8 a.m., most doctors weren’t on duty yet. Director Jake’s son was surprised to see her.
“Dr. Smith? What brings you here?”
Sophia smiled. “I wanted to check on your son’s progress.”
He seems to be doing okay. Professor Michael examined him and said there were signs of improvement, but I don’t know the details.”
Sophia nodded and put down her medical kit.
Director Jake’s grandson was delighted to see her. Clapping his hands, he exclaimed, “Lady Hero! You’re here!”
Sophia chuckled. “When did I get that nickname?”
“I gave it to you! I told my classmates that you have magical skills. You can make needles go *shwoop* into people’s skin. But they don’t believe me. Can you show them someday?”
“Of course!” Sophia laughed, patting his head. Director Jake’s grandson’s innocence made it hard to say no. Who would have thought Director Jake, a cunning and manipulative man, would have such a handsome and genuinely sweet grandson?
“Lady Hero needs to check your pulse to see if you’re suitable for learning magical skills.”
“Really?” Director Jake’s grandson eagerly extended his hand. “Check quickly! I want to be as amazing as you!”
