After finally meeting up and catching up, the drinking session from the previous night extended to the third round.
A few persistent classmates wouldn’t let Dylan go.
Among them, Andy Porter was particularly relentless. He snatched Dylan’s phone again, fearing that if his girlfriend called, Dylan might slip away.
Andy, who seemed to have experience with women, annoyingly chattered about how Dylan, the cold-hearted man, would become a girlfriend-seeker if he fell in love, and that they should keep a close watch on him so he wouldn’t escape.
As a result, Dylan had to drink late into the night and could only return home at dawn. This was an extreme ordeal for Dylan, who wasn’t good at drinking. He suffered from a headache the entire time and had to frequently visit the bathroom until dawn. Since Andy had completely taken his phone, he couldn’t even contact Lola.

Even now, his head throbbed painfully, but Dylan had to go fit the wedding dress with Lola, so he barely slept and headed straight to the hospital early in the morning.
After parking his car in the hospital parking lot, Dylan sent a message to Lola.

A reply came back.
– Dear, I’m sorry. I’m in Lapper right now.
At first, Dylan thought he had misread the text and looked at the message on his phone screen several times.
He felt inexplicably displeased.
Dylan wasn’t a patient man, and he wasn’t the type to stay quiet after seeing such a message.
He immediately called Lola. When she rejected the call, Dylan’s lips twisted coldly.
A moment later, a reply came.
– I’m sorry, dear. I can’t talk right now.
Barely holding back the irritation that had risen to his head, Dylan calmly typed a message and sent it.
[Why are you in Lapper? What’s going on?]
– There’s a seminar in Lapper today.
[I thought we agreed to fit the wedding dress today.]
– I’m sorry.
[I understand. It can’t be helped. But I’d appreciate it if you could let me know in advance next time.]
– I will, dear.
After that message, Dylan didn’t send any more messages to Lola. Instead, he called Gia.
Gia picked up the phone right away.
– Big Brother, what’s up?
“I have something to ask you.”
– What is it?
“Is there a seminar in Lapper today?”
– Yes. Dr. Anderson’s seminar on psychiatric medications is being held for two nights and three days at National University Hospital in Lapper. I couldn’t go. But why?
“I see.”
– Big Brother, what’s wrong? Wasn’t today the day you were going to try on wedding dresses with Lola?
“Hang up.”
Without hesitation, Dylan hung up the phone and irritably loosened the tie that was constricting his neck. Nevertheless, the suffocating feeling weighing down his chest did not dissipate, and he slammed his hand against the steering wheel.
It was anger that burst forth from his frustration.
Breathless suffocation continued to linger. Soon, an overwhelming emotion that could not be described in a single word surged through.

Dylan was not someone who usually expressed his feelings outwardly.
There had never been such an absurd situation during the time they had been dating.

It felt wrong to just brush it off as if nothing had happened.
Yet, he couldn’t do anything about her, who had gone to the seminar.
He thought he would interrogate her thoroughly about why she had acted so recklessly after the seminar was over.
