It was already the second time sleeping in the same bed with him. Lola was still excited yet nervous. Her heart had been racing since earlier. Since the lamp was on, she could see his face clearly as soon as she opened her eyes.
Her tightly closed eyelashes trembled slightly. Seeing Lola pretending to sleep, Dylan’s lips curled up slightly.
“Lola, I know you’re not asleep yet. Let’s talk a bit.”
As his warm breath tickled her face, Lola had no choice but to open her eyes. His gaze felt deep and profound.
Was it because it was a dark night? Or was it the lamp’s light? Either way, his gaze didn’t feel cold.
“Nowadays, they say people have kids before marriage, right? What do you think about that?”
The sudden and unexpected question caught her off guard.
Lola blinked, not immediately understanding his meaning.

Dylan suddenly pulled her into a tight embrace. Lola’s heart raced like the growing sound of drums at the climax.
“But won’t it be boring if we just hold hands and sleep again tonight?”

Lola had already heard the sound of his breath hitching several times today.
To live with this man, her heart needed to be strong, but she was, in a word, a coward.

Muttering curses inwardly, Dylan tidied up her disheveled clothes and then embraced Lola tightly.
Wrapped in his arms, Lola began to slowly drift into sleep, feeling the warmth of his breath.
She didn’t know why he suddenly changed his mind midway, but the feeling of being held by him was so warm and cozy.
And it was comforting.

As dawn broke, the day brightened. She didn’t know exactly what time it was, but the morning sunlight poured in through the curtains draped over the window.
Lola, who woke up first, turned her head to the side. Dylan was still asleep. His breathing came in a steady rhythm. He was handsome no matter when she looked at him. Even though it was quite dangerous, Lola couldn’t take her eyes off his face. Honestly, she thought that if she didn’t take the chance to observe him while he was defenseless, when would she ever get the opportunity?
Lola first pressed her ear against his chest to listen to his heartbeat.
