“It wasn’t that bad. I thought the two of them looked sweet and happy, so it was nice to see.”
“Don’t tell me you want to do some childish affection expressions too?”
With narrowed eyes, Dylan asked, as if probing. Lola waved her hands vigorously in denial.
“Oh, no. Dear. I don’t think we suit that kind of thing.”
“Right. Let’s not do those childish affection expressions. You and I should play a bit differently.”
As Dylan said that, he pulled Lola tightly into his embrace.
Thump thump!
Feeling her heart racing quickly, Lola buried her face in Dylan’s shoulder.
“But you know…”
His voice tickled her ear. With her face buried, Lola calmly waited for him to continue.
“I really have no desire to go with them, but if you want, I might consider it.”
That was Dylan’s honest feeling. He had no desire to travel with Gia and her husband, but if Lola wanted it, he wouldn’t mind going. However, Dylan spoke ambiguously.
“Excuse me?”
Lola looked up at him with a puzzled expression.
“But if I agree, what will you do for me? As I said earlier, I really have no desire to go with them at all.”
He didn’t want to be petty, but he was curious about her reaction, so he asked. Lola took a moment to understand Dylan’s meaning.
“Oh, I see. I guess I should do something in return…”
“Right. I have to do something I don’t like.”
“What do you want, Dear?”
Dylan pulled Lola into his embrace again. Suddenly, his handsome face was too close, making Lola feel dizzy.
“Well, I feel like there are now more than one or two things I should receive from you. I’ll have to think carefully about it.”
Thump thump!
Her heart raced uncontrollably, and she didn’t understand why it was beating so fast.
It seemed like her heart reacted too easily to every word he said.
“Dear.”
“Why?”
In front of his tightly locked voice and burning gaze, Lola hesitated but mustered her courage.
“I’ll… do that return gift now.”
“What?”
This time, Dylan looked puzzled, not immediately understanding her words. Before he could react, she gently touched his face. Then, soon, her soft lips met his.
Dylan realized a beat too late that she had kissed him.
He couldn’t remember the last time he had gone out to have fun with Gia.
It felt like a long time ago.
Gia’s earnest request to go to the Mappe Villa together and the thought that it might be more fun with more people lingered in his mind.
So, he hoped she would go with him.
But what did he want?
He was a man whose inner thoughts were hard to read, so he didn’t know what he desired.
Still, if a woman kissed him first, wouldn’t that be a good enough return gift?
Thinking that Lola awkwardly and shyly pressed her lips against him.
But this man was too good at kissing.
Even so, she couldn’t keep up with him.
“Ah! This is driving me crazy!”
Finally, as Lola pulled away, a low murmur escaped his lips.
“Lola, let’s go!”
“Really?”
“Let’s go to the Mappe Villa!”
“Oh, Dear, are you serious?”
Lola’s eyes widened in disbelief, and Dylan asked again.
“When have I ever lied?”
“Dear.”
Grateful that Dylan had granted her request, Lola unconsciously wrapped her arms tightly around his neck. Dylan inhaled sharply.
“Lola, if you keep doing this, it’ll be troublesome.”
His voice, filled with suppressed emotions, made her dizzy. Feeling a sense of danger, Lola hurriedly tried to loosen her arms around his neck, but,
“But it’s too late again.”
With a soft whisper, his lips drew near.
Compared to the kiss she had given him, his lips skillfully parted hers, and the hot breath poured into her mouth, leaving Lola completely dazed as she clung to his clothes like a lifeline.
Once again, Dylan devoured her mouth before finally releasing her from his embrace.

He said he would be busy for the next few days.
Whenever he suddenly appeared without warning, it made her feel fluttery and excited, but when they couldn’t meet for several days in a row, Lola felt a sense of emptiness and hollowness.
As time passed, she was aware that she was deeply falling for Dylan Eve and couldn’t escape.
Today marked the third day since she last saw his face. Lola missed him.
Until now, he had always made time to visit her whenever he could, so wouldn’t it be okay for her to visit him once or twice?
With that thought, Lola changed into her outing clothes, packed her bag, and stepped outside.
