‘Is he angry?’
Just as Lola was holding her breath and watching his reaction,
“You met Amaya?”
Dylan broke the long silence and asked in a low voice.
“Yes.”
“Why?”
Dylan’s voice was even lower.
At times like that, she could tell that he was very angry. That appearance was really scary, so Lola couldn’t help but shrink back.
“I told you to contact me if that crazy woman named Amaya called you. Why didn’t you listen?”
She wasn’t exactly hoping for praise.
But when he treated her like a child and scolded her, Lola felt somehow upset.
She shouldn’t, and she thought she was foolish for thinking that way, but Lola couldn’t easily control her emotions.
“I did something unnecessary. I’m sorry for worrying you.”
As she got up, snatched her cell phone, and turned around, Dylan’s cold voice came from behind her.
“Stop right there! Lola.”

Dylan, who had risen from his seat, strode towards Lola. He gently grabbed her shoulders with both hands and turned her around.
Lola’s eyes trembled with unease as she looked at Dylan.
“What am I going to do with you?”
A sigh mixed with lament escaped his lips.
“What if you got hurt again doing that?”
When people are cornered, they tend to lose their reason, and then they’re capable of anything.
Amaya would be the same. She already did something worse than a dog once, what’s to stop her from doing it twice?
It was a stroke of luck that Lola wasn’t hurt this time, but Dylan’s heart dropped at the thought of how dangerous it could have been.
“I’m sorry.”
“Do you even know what you’re sorry for?”

Lola knew what he was worried about, why he was making that angry face.

Instead of answering, Lola bit her lip, and Dylan frowned.

“You’re a woman, and I’m a man. What man in the world tells a woman every little detail? I can’t do that!”
Seriously, is he being sexist?
Lola felt that something was unfair.
Dylan spoke again to Lola, who was pouting.
“I’m the only one who needs to worry. I want to let you live without any worries.”
With those words that melted her heart in an instant, Lola couldn’t think of anything else to argue.
“From now on, I’ll take care of everything, so don’t meet Amaya again.”
Lola nodded vigorously. Dylan stroked her hair and belatedly praised her.
“You did well today.”

Lola was bewildered.
He had been scolding her fiercely just a moment ago, but his attitude changed in an instant, and she didn’t understand why he was suddenly praising her.
“You did well to record the conversation, and you did well to warn Amaya that if she laid a hand on you, she would be arrested as a criminal on the spot.”
Even with Dylan’s attitude, which was like giving her medicine after making her sick, Lola felt her heart flutter.
She knew what his true feelings for her were.

However, since he was not a hospital official, he had to apply for a visit to see Amaya, so he needed the help of Gia, a psychiatrist. So he called Gia.
-Brother, how is Lola doing?
As soon as she answered the phone, Gia asked about Lola’s well-being, but Dylan didn’t answer and went straight to the point.
“Gia, I want to meet Amaya, so please apply for a visit for me.”

“But?”
-A man blinded by love is capable of anything.
Dylan scoffed in disbelief.
“I haven’t lost my judgment to the point of losing my reason. So stop worrying and let me meet Amaya quickly.”
If Amaya were a man, he would have hit her a long time ago.
Since he couldn’t do that, Dylan gritted his teeth inwardly, but his calm expression didn’t waver in the slightest.

Dylan was displeased with Gia’s hesitation, but he didn’t urge her and waited quietly.
-Dylan, you’re not going to do anything unnecessary, are you?

Only after receiving confirmation again did Gia let out a long sigh and reluctantly comply with Dylan’s request.
