After leaving the coffee shop, Dylan took Lola to the penthouse. Even though he had to return to the prosecutor’s office soon, he couldn’t shake off his unease, making it difficult to leave.
“Are you sure you’ll be okay alone?”
“Of course, dear.”
Lola chuckled and said as if grumbling.
“I’m not a child, you know.”
Instead of responding, Dylan let out a long sigh before finally offering a word of caution.
“I’ll call you in the meantime, so make sure you answer.”
“Yes, dear.”
“Oh, and that crazy woman, Amaya, might call you, so if she does, contact me immediately.”
Why Amaya?
Lola couldn’t understand why Amaya would have the nerve to call her, so she didn’t quite grasp what Dylan was saying at the time, but she nodded.
“I’ll come back as soon as I’m done.”
The way he said it with a worried expression as he left the penthouse made Lola feel strange, as if he were a parent leaving their child home alone to go to work.
‘Even my own parents, who gave birth to me, didn’t care about me this much.’
Dylan’s words, that his wife was more precious to him than a billion dollars, seemed to echo in her ears, and Lola couldn’t help but giggle.

The penthouse was still large and desolate without Dylan, but Lola didn’t feel particularly lonely.

It was Amaya.
Until she heard Dylan’s words earlier, she hadn’t believed it, thinking it was nonsense.
Lola couldn’t help but be amazed once again by Dylan’s sharp insight.

‘What nerve does Amaya have to call me?’
She should have lashed out at her for being so shameless, but contrary to her inner thoughts, Lola calmly asked.
“What’s going on?”
-I have something to talk to you about, Doctor. Would it be possible to meet?

Lola felt beyond absurd and even a chilling fear at Amaya’s attitude, which was as if she was taking it for granted, without even apologizing for beating her up.
“I have nothing to talk about with Amaya.”

Lola was barely holding back from directly asking Amaya the bad thoughts that had sprung to mind.

Lola couldn’t help but waver a little at the meaningless words that were thrown out like bait.

According to Amaya, she had tried to kill her, and someone had ordered Amaya to do it.
So, if she talked to Amaya, she might be able to find out who was behind it, but on the other hand, she couldn’t help but feel uneasy.
She didn’t know what kind of nonsense Amaya would pull again.
“I’ll contact you again.”
After hesitating for a moment, Lola said vaguely and hung up the phone.
She needed to think about it because she couldn’t figure out Amaya’s intentions.

As soon as she arrived at the hospital, Lola went straight up to Amaya’s room and took a deep breath in front of the door.
