Arrogant Husband and Timid Wife – Chapter 162

I’m going crazy!

It was a weekday, not a weekend.

Lola was off, but Dylan had to go to work, so he was busy getting ready.

Peeking through the slightly open door of the dressing room, Lola quietly watched Dylan buttoning his shirt one by one.

Once he finished buttoning, Dylan opened the tie drawer. It seemed he was choosing a tie that matched his shirt.

At that moment, Lola, who had been stealthily watching like a sneaky cat, suddenly opened the door wide and entered the dressing room.

“Dear, can I help you with that?”

“If you do, that would be great.”

Dylan nodded readily and handed the tie he had chosen to Lola, who wrapped it around his neck. Then, as she was about to tie the knot, her head tilted slightly in confusion.

She had forgotten how to tie a tie.

“Is it like this?”

Holding the tie tightly, Lola furrowed her brows and muttered to herself.

At first, she had confidently said she would tie it for him, but after a while, when she still couldn’t tie the knot, Dylan raised an eyebrow and asked.

“What are you doing?”

“I practiced tying a tie yesterday, but it’s not going as I thought.”

Lola scratched her head awkwardly and smiled.

Yesterday, when he came to pick her up in the rain, she felt grateful and wanted to do something for him.

Having lived together, she had never tied a tie for him even once.

She thought he would like it if she did that.

Or maybe not?

‘Would he think it’s strange?’

She felt a bit worried, but still, as a wife, she wanted to tie a tie for her husband at least once.

So last night, while he was washing up in the bathroom, she diligently practiced by watching a video on how to tie a tie, but perhaps because she wasn’t used to it, she couldn’t remember it well.

“What did you do? Practice?”

“I watched a video and tried to learn how to tie a tie, but it’s harder than I thought.”

Lola said that and tried once more to tie the knot, holding the tie tightly in her hands.

First, she raised the collar of his shirt and aligned the thick and thin sides of the tie. Then, she managed to wrap the thick side around the thin side and turn it inside, but she got stuck, not knowing what to do next.

“Enough. I’ll do it. At this rate, we’ll run out of time.”

Dylan clicked his tongue. Feeling embarrassed, Lola took a step back, watching him closely as he tied the knot. Then, with her fists clenched and a determined expression, she vowed.

“I’ll make sure to tie it nicely for you tomorrow. I’ll practice a lot more in the evening.”

With her voice raised an octave higher than usual, Dylan stopped tying the tie and stared at Lola.

“I’m going crazy!”

Dylan, who had been quietly murmuring, suddenly stepped forward and pulled Lola into his arms.

“Come here. If you do this…… I can’t hold back.”

The words left unsaid were because she was irresistibly adorable.

In that moment, to Dylan, she looked incredibly lovable and cute, as if he might lose his mind.

She said she would practice tying a tie nicely for him.

Wasn’t that effort commendable?

So, how could she not look beautiful?

Caught off guard, Lola found herself in his embrace, bewildered, as their lips met without resistance.

Their lips, touching, didn’t part easily, and the kiss lasted longer than expected. At this rate, it felt like he would strip her clothes off right away.

Trying hard not to lose his reason since morning, Lola pushed against his broad chest with both hands.

“Ha! D-dear. If this goes on, I’ll be late for work.”

“Hmm…… Let’s meet in the evening.”

His husky voice clearly showed his disappointment. Lola raised her hands in agreement.

“Okay. Let’s do it in the evening.”

“In the evening? What do you mean by that?”

With a curious look, Dylan’s eyes sparkled with mischief as he looked at Lola.

Oh no! Lola realized a moment too late that she had fallen into his wordplay. But she tried to defend herself.

“D-dear, you said that.”

“I just said I wanted to see your face in the evening.”

‘A’ and ‘O’ can mean different things, and even though he had clearly spoken with a suggestive meaning, he slipped away so smoothly.

“You were just thinking something weird, weren’t you?”

“Ah, no. N-no way!”

She tried to explain earnestly, but she couldn’t hide her flushed face, so Lola tried to escape quickly. But Dylan soon caught her arm.

“But it’s strange? Why is your face turning so red?”

Dylan gently touched her flushed cheek with his fingertips.

“Are you really okay?”

“Ah, it’s nothing.”
