“Since when?”
“She hasn’t been around since yesterday afternoon.”
Hearing Xavier’s words, Lola realized that Nina hadn’t been seen since yesterday afternoon.
Lola felt anxious but didn’t show it and tried to comfort Xavier.
“Maybe Nina went to meet some friends? She’s been cooped up in the hospital room for a while, so she must be feeling quite stifled.”
That would be a relief, but for some reason, Xavier couldn’t shake off his anxious feeling that it wasn’t the case.
His daughter had shown an uncharacteristic interest in tall boys.
But for the past few days, she hadn’t asked about them at all, and a dark shadow loomed over her face.
And yesterday afternoon, she left without saying a word and hadn’t been heard from since.
It was the first time his daughter had shown interest in a boy, and it wasn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Xavier also hoped that his immature Nina would meet a good person.
But he had to be careful about who he wished for.
Both of them already had partners, so they couldn’t be Nina’s match, and another guy was a notorious playboy, which bothered him, while another seemed too blunt and not suitable for his daughter.
Sigh!
Thinking about his daughter often left Xavier feeling suffocated, and he frequently sighed.
“Professor, let me try contacting Nina. You should go inside quickly. You might catch a cold out here.”
“Okay. I’m sorry for worrying you, Dr..”
After sending Xavier back to his room, Lola tried to contact Nina, but she didn’t answer her phone.
Even though she thought it was probably nothing serious, the unease that had crept in didn’t easily dissipate.

– Dr., this is the patient Amaya’s room. It’s an emergency. Please come quickly.
As soon as Lola received the emergency call from the head nurse, she rushed to Amaya’s room and was horrified by the scene before her.
Having run over, sweat was pouring down her forehead, but Lola had no time to wipe it away in the face of the shocking and urgent situation.
Amaya had grabbed Nurse Sasha by the hair and wouldn’t let go. Even though two or three nurses and residents rushed in to intervene, it was futile.
Syringes rolled on the floor, and the things Amaya had broken were scattered everywhere.
Whether it was a panic attack or something else, Amaya’s wide-eyed, hair-grabbing figure was terrifying.
“Head nurse, please call two or three male nurses quickly.”
“I’ve called for emergency help.”
“Prepare the benzodiazepine.”
In the meantime, Lola stepped in to try to calm her down.
“Amaya, please calm down. You can’t do this.”
At Lola’s words, Amaya seemed to momentarily loosen her grip on Nurse Sasha’s hair, but then shouted in a chilling voice, “Die, die, die!” and lunged at Lola, continuing her assault.
As a result, Amaya’s room turned into chaos in an instant.
After a while, the hospital security team and two male nurses arrived, and they finally managed to quell the commotion.
After administering an anxiolytic, Amaya soon fell into a deep sleep.
“Oh my! That felt like ten years off my life.”
Nurse Sasha, who had just been yanked by Amaya and had her hair in disarray, plopped down on the floor and let out a sigh.
“Are you okay?”
Lola’s condition wasn’t much different from Nurse Sasha’s. Still, she worried about her instead.
“Are you okay, Dr.? It looks like you lost a lot of hair. What will you do?”
The head nurse next to her looked at her with a sympathetic expression and worried, but Lola smiled as if she was fine.
“Shouldn’t we move this patient to the closed ward? That was truly horrific.”
A resident shuddered as he spoke.
“Today’s events must not leak outside.”
Even in the midst of the chaos, Lola firmly instructed the residents and nurses to keep quiet. Yet, she felt a twinge of worry.
There were no secrets in this hospital, and she was most anxious about Gia finding out.
If Gia found out, it would only be a matter of time before Dylan Eve learned about it.
Gia might understand as a fellow doctor, but Dylan Eve was different.
If he didn’t know, he would probably threaten to sue Amaya or something, which was all too predictable.
