Knowing it was a joke, Lola couldn’t help but protest. Dylan then continued to tease her even more.

Not knowing how to respond to Dylan’s mischievous joke, Lola subtly changed the subject.
“Dylan.”

They were just a few more steps away from the bedroom. And knowing what would happen once they entered the bedroom, Lola hesitated to speak.
“Dear, I haven’t showered yet.”
“I haven’t showered yet either. Should we shower together?”
“I don’t want to do that.”
Lola shook her head. Dylan’s gaze, which usually held a cold demeanor, turned playful.
“Why?”
“Because I’m not used to it.”
“Wouldn’t you get used to it if you did it often?”
“I think it… might take some time.”
“How long?”
“I’m not sure.”
Lola buried her face in his shoulder. In her ear, Dylan’s lewd whisper reached her.
“Let’s shower together next time.”
Living with him, she would eventually experience it at least once, but Lola wasn’t mentally prepared yet.
Just hearing such words made her heart race and her face turn bright red.
“Don’t you have anything else to say to me?”
Dylan suddenly asked, tightening his hold on her.
The question might have seemed abrupt, but he was hoping Lola would share something with him.

“There was a girl who asked me to give you a gift. I guess she was worried that you wouldn’t accept it if she gave it to you herself.”
A sigh escaped from between Lola’s lips. Dylan raised one eyebrow slightly.
“So, did you accept it? Why didn’t you refuse?”
Lola sighed again, and Dylan clicked his tongue softly.
“When you don’t feel like it, you should just refuse outright. And why didn’t you tell me about the girl who showed interest in you?”
“What, what should I say?”
“You could say that the guy is taken. You could even say you’re his wife.”
A small laugh escaped, but Lola still felt uneasy.
It wasn’t just anyone; it was Professor Xavier’s daughter.
Xavier was not only her patient but also an important person to Dylan Eve.
“The girl who’s interested in you just happens to be Professor Xavier’s daughter. That’s why I couldn’t say anything.”
Lola didn’t know how awkward she felt about the girl’s request.
“Lola.”
Finally arriving in front of the bedroom, his voice calling her felt significant.
As if he was about to say something important.
“Sometimes, it’s okay not to be nice.”

“Otherwise, it’s just you who suffers. I mean, you should live saying everything you want to say.”
His words felt comforting, and Lola’s heart swelled.
“I feel the same. I don’t like it when other guys look at you or talk to you.”

Seeing Dylan raise one eyebrow and speak seriously, Lola almost laughed again.
At times like this, she should have found it ridiculous that he was being overly sensitive, but she didn’t mind.
It was amusing how he got jealous over trivial things.
“Was there really nothing going on with Frank?”
Dylan, who had laid Lola down on the bed, asked as if probing, not taking his eyes off her.
Lola shook her head.
