Furrowing her brows, Gia gave an answer that strayed from the main topic.
“How far have you and your brother gone?”
“How far?”
“I mean, what have you done?”
“We’ve held hands and walked together, had meals, watched movies. And…”
She almost let slip that they nearly kissed, so she stopped speaking.
Gia pressed on eagerly.
“And what?”
Lola, hesitating and fumbling, finally remembered something and showed her left hand to Gia.
“We got couple rings today.”
“Wow! It’s pretty. I didn’t know my brother had a romantic side.”
Gia admired the ring on Lola’s left ring finger, and a smile blossomed on Lola’s face.
“Have you two kissed yet?”
A playful glint appeared on Gia’s face as she asked. Lola’s face turned bright red.
“You have, haven’t you!”
Seeing Lola’s expression, Gia confirmed with a teasing tone. Flustered, Lola stood up from the bench.
“Gia, I’ll go ahead.”
As Lola hurriedly left, Gia watched her retreating figure, feeling both happy and complicated.

As Lola held his hand and wandered around the department store, it truly felt like they were a genuine couple. It still felt like a dream and was hard to believe.
Suddenly, his steps stopped in front of the luxury clothing store in the department store. Dylan said to Lola, who looked up at him in confusion, “The clothes here look nice. Let’s go in.”
Since it was a women’s clothing store, Lola quickly grabbed Dylan’s arm and said urgently, “Dear, I have plenty of clothes.”

Accepting Lola’s silence as a positive sign, Dylan took her hand and stepped into the store.
Whenever a handsome man like him appeared, women would always look at him with admiration, as if they were fans of an idol. This time was no exception. The eyes of the female staff sparkled.
“Excuse me, what do you need?” asked a polite female staff member, to which Lola replied with a light smile, “I’ll just take a look around.”
The clothes hanging on the racks looked expensive at first glance. Hesitating to choose an outfit, Dylan leaned in and whispered softly in Lola’s ear.
“Should I pick something for you? I have a good eye for these things. So just trust me once.”
“Yes, Dear.”
Without thinking too deeply, she nodded, but soon after, Lola regretted it. Dylan quickly scanned Lola’s figure and selected a few dresses from the rack to hand to her.
“I think these styles would suit you well, but I’m not sure if you’ll like them.”
“I’ll try them on.”
“Okay.”
Dylan nodded. As she took the dresses from him and walked to the fitting room, Lola checked the prices. The moment she saw the prices, her eyes widened in shock, and her stomach churned. The cheapest was in the five thousand dollar range, and there were even dresses worth over ten thousand dollars.
