Alpha’s Betrayal – Chapter 61

That is remarkable!

“That is remarkable!”  “I was enthusiastic to learn that,” Jackson beamed with pride. He was resolute in expressing his discontent should the Rigel Moon Pack receive an invitation.

He anticipated a seamless and enjoyable marking ceremony for his grandson. The elderly man departed due to his demanding schedule, although tension persisted among the men.

“As usual, the mere mention of them has disrupted my morning,” Lucas flung himself onto the sofa once more. This day commenced unexpectedly. Jason remained mute as his attention shifted back to the television.

The camera angle was entirely misaligned. She had traversed the hall merely once, yet he had been unable to discern her visage! Lamba was vexed, whilst Jason’s lips formed a smile.

She consented to execute the deal.

Jason enjoyed consuming alcohol, but it was not until the conclusion of the night that he began to feel overwhelmed by its odour the following morning. They proceeded to the loo individually to cleanse themselves of fatigue, the odour of alcohol, and perspiration. Jessica and Lena were cognisant of the bachelor party and had consistently prohibited their friends from entering their room reeking of booze.

The individuals had previously invested excessive hours in that office. Jason was the final individual to take an extended shower. The Alpha emerged from the washroom, aware that his Beta awaited him in fashionable apparel.

His garments had been delivered to the pack house; however, none of the ranked males had returned following a brief conversation with the elders that was required to occur in the office building’s hall. However, as it was already afternoon, Jason had limited time, so he asked Leo to retrieve his suit from the office.

“The elders await in the hall,” David, who had previously been designated to the hall, communicated via mind-link to both Alphas. During the meeting, a minor disagreement between the two parties escalated significantly, linked to the vampire’s breach of the peace accord.

Jason grew incensed and bellowed at all the males, including the elders, who had the audacity to dispute before him. Their wolves promptly averted their heads and gazes. Their Alpha had already been unsettled by the sensation he was undergoing due to the marking procedure, he believed.

His wolf remained agitated, albeit the considerable distance from the pack home. His attention was directed towards the window, where he could faintly discern the silhouette of the structure through the trees.

“What is the issue?”  You must never raise your voice at the elders’, Lucas sent telepathically to his sibling. The younger brother had been observing Jason’s mood fluctuations for an extended period. He was inattentive during the meeting, fixating on the pack house as though he yearned to be there.

“Please conclude this meeting on my behalf,” Jason urged. He was bewildered by his own abrupt nasty and hostile behaviour. Lamba had been causing him considerable distress. The younger brother promptly assumed command of the discourse, conciliating all parties, and declaring his resolution.

The elder brother nodded in agreement, and the meeting concluded promptly.

Despite the late hour, the Alpha twins, along with their Beta and Gamma, remained diligently engaged in their tasks. They required confirmation of the pack’s security before to returning to the pack house. At the marking ceremony, all pack members would be engaged with the guests, and the likelihood of a vampire attack would be at its peak.

As Jason returned to the Pack house a few hours later, his attention was captured by the young wolf, whose attractive visage was sufficient to irritate the Alpha. He had been aiding several guests by opening their automobile doors.

He donned a feigned smile to welcome them, however it failed to deceive the penetrating green eyes of the Alpha. Charles’s perpetually smiling visage resembled a withered flower. His reddened and swollen eyes indicated that he had been unable to sleep during the night.

The dark rings beneath his eyes indicated a sombre demeanour. What had precipitated his profound depression? The Omega promptly observed the elevated-status males who had recently traversed the vicinity. Charles immediately bowed his head upon sensing Jason’s scrutiny.

The Omega was unaware of the expression his Alpha had directed towards him.

However, it was evidently not favourable. The younger Alpha exhibited an identical expression! Why had they bestowed upon him such glances? In an instant, the young wolf experienced goosebumps.

Upon the arrival of the ranked guys at the pack home, all attention was captivated by the exquisite decorations and illumination. Jason entered the pack house the previous night; its arrangement had completely transformed.

Every nook now gleamed in the light, serving as a tribute to collective labour and excitement, as well as the joyful smiles of all involved. All were vying for a sight of the Alpha. As Jason was merely traversing the corridor, a potent perfume assailed him upon entry.

“What kind of fragrance is that?” Jason promptly shielded his nose with his hand. The aroma was so potent that it irritated his nose due to its dense dispersion in the air.

Elder Jackson gifted the Luna a delightful and distinctive perfume; however, it unfortunately landed just outside the Luna’s bedroom.

“Thirty minutes have elapsed since the incident transpired, yet its unmistakable odour persists.”  A pack member said, reflecting on Jackson’s fury and the terror of the wolf who had carelessly dropped the perfume bottle, still apprehensive of retribution.

“Open all the windows and facilitate the escape of this bothersome fragrance,” Jason commanded. Indeed, it was invigorating and enjoyable; nonetheless, it was excessive. The stench was so overwhelming that Jason could not even perceive Lucas, who was positioned adjacent to him, much less the other wolf opposite him.
