As she sat in the car, she glanced at the blue-themed ice cream in her hand and silently apologized to the girl.
Meanwhile, Taylor Callum was quite relaxed. After scrolling through his friend list and not finding anyone to chat with, even the girl he had just been talking to said she had to go home to do homework and wouldn’t chat with him anymore.
As her idol, how could he disturb the young girl’s studies?
Bored, he opened online food sellers and started buying snacks.
After struggling for a while, just as he was about to place an order, his phone screen suddenly froze, followed by a video call popping up.
Not reacting in time, the man casually answered it, and when he looked up, he saw a somewhat familiar face.
He was taken aback, quickly slapped the phone down on the table, and hurriedly ran to his bedroom to tidy up a bit.
Just as Jade was about to hang up, her idol’s handsome and charming smile appeared on the screen.
“Little cutie, what do you need from me?”
Jade felt her ears heat up, starting to feel shy, and stammered:
“Do you still want ice cream?”
The man paused, not quite understanding, “Ice cream?”
Jade kindly reminded him: “The ice cream you mentioned a few hours ago!”
The man realized, nodded, and chuckled lightly:
“It’s not a limited edition, it should be sold out by now…”
Jade bit her lip, then raised her hand to reveal the ice cream she was holding, looking at him:
“I still have a portion here…”
The young girl paused, then added softly:
“It’s just a bit melted…”
Taylor Callum was stunned, staring at the phone screen for a moment, then suddenly caught on to another point, narrowing his eyes slightly:
“Where are you now?”
On the other side, under the streetlight, Jade was swatting away mosquitoes and frowned as she heard the man’s voice from the video, replying absently:
“Arsenal Community… Building Eleven…”
Taylor Callum’s heart skipped a beat, and after a few seconds of daze, the smile on his face faded slightly. He suddenly stood up, a serious expression creeping onto his face.
As he got up to put on his coat, he grabbed a hat from the coat rack by the door and the keys from the shoe cabinet, rushing out without even having time to put on a mask.
He felt a strange sensation in his heart, thinking that the young girl was silly yet so innocent and easy to fool!
Although the man was busy heading out, he didn’t forget to tell the young girl not to hang up the phone.
Jade dazedly agreed, then stared at the blurry figure of the man on the screen, lost in thought.
The young girl stood under the streetlight and waited a bit longer. As the night deepened, the temperature dropped; she was wearing a short-sleeved shirt, and now she was not only being bitten by mosquitoes but also feeling cold.
With an ice cream in hand, she looked like she was about to curl up into a ball.
When Taylor Callum found the young girl, she was huddled under the streetlight, thin and lonely.
The man frowned, pressed his lips together, and as he hung up the phone, he stepped forward towards her.
Jade had just switched the ice cream to the other hand when she heard the low battery warning from her phone, and she began to feel a bit regretful.
Just as she frowned, the world in front of her suddenly darkened. She looked up, and the man’s handsome face came into view, instantly brightening her eyes.
However, the man glanced around, lowered the brim of his hat, and in a muffled voice pulled her arm, leading her back:
“Come with me…”
Jade was dazed, following in his footsteps.
Once they entered the man’s home, the young girl finally realized that she was actually at the male idol’s house.
She couldn’t contain her excitement but still remembered her main purpose. Unable to suppress her enthusiasm, she raised the ice cream in her hand towards him, her face full of excitement:
“Male idol! Your ice cream!”
Taylor Callum was taken aback, looked at her, pressed his lips together, stared at her for a few seconds, then chuckled lightly and reached out to take the item from her hand.
In a muffled voice, he said, “Thank you!”
Jade felt bold, not noticing anything amiss, and just shyly smiled.
Then she heard the male idol inviting her to sit down. The young girl smiled awkwardly and obediently found a spot to sit down.
