When he finally woke up, the lights of the city were just beginning to twinkle.
Sitting on the bed, the man rubbed his messy hair and felt a bit dazed. He picked up his phone to check if there were any important matters to attend to, but when he saw a certain Instagram message, he couldn’t help but feel the urge to stir things up.
The only source of youthful energy in his friend circle was a young girl showing off how delicious and beautiful her ice cream was.
The man stared at the beautifully photographed ice cream for a few seconds, then suddenly snorted. No matter how good-looking the ice cream was, could it compare to him?
After snorting, he zoomed in on the picture the girl posted with two fingers, saved it, and turned to poke his assistant.

After that, the man exited their chat interface, paused while looking at his contacts, and then turned to the space, commenting under the young girl’s post:
The Universe’s Most Handsome Man: “Are you going to send me one?”
Meanwhile, Jade was just coming out of the ice cream shop with her best friend, Moore Audrey, holding two of those legendary limited-edition ice creams.
Hearing the ding of her phone, Moore Audrey curiously asked with a smile:
“Who messaged you?”
Jade paused, looking into her pocket. “I don’t know… can you help me get it? I’ll take a look…”
Moore Audrey nodded, carefully taking the ice cream from her hands.
Jade lowered her head, pulled out her phone from her pocket, and when she opened the notification, her eyes widened in disbelief.
Her face showed a hint of incredulity, and after a few seconds of stunned silence, she felt a suppressed excitement.
Holding back her excitement, she put her phone away and turned to her best friend Moore Audrey:
“Audrey …”
Moore Audrey exclaimed, turning her head.
“What’s wrong?”
Jade looked at her with a face full of ‘I just won the lottery’ expression, glanced around, then took a deep breath and calmly said:
“Let’s change places to talk…”
Five minutes later, the two sat in a quieter booth of a café.
Moore Audrey was amused by Jade’s cautious demeanor all the way there:
“What are you doing… discussing some business secret?”
Jade ignored her teasing, sitting down and looking at her:
“My idol just messaged me…”
Moore Audrey scooped a spoonful of ice cream absentmindedly, then looked up:
“Hmm… which idol?”
Jade hurriedly slapped her hand.
“Pay attention!”
Moore Audrey had no choice but to put down her spoon and obediently look at her:
“Go on… I’m listening!”
Jade continued with a serious tone:
“I’m talking about Taylor Callum, he’s my only idol!”
Moore Audrey nodded seriously, continuing to listen to her best friend.
“Remember when I went home and ran into him? He left me his number and told me to let him know when I got home, and later I added him on Instagram…”
The girl paused for a few seconds and then added:
“He just commented on my post!”
Moore Audrey was stunned, her mouth agape as she exclaimed, “And then?”
Jade was anxious: “My idol must recognize me now!”
Moore Audrey nodded, “That’s great!”
Jade: “…” Why did I choose you as my best friend? You’re no fun to talk to!
Moore Audrey suddenly thought of something and looked at her seriously:
“Whether your idol is real or fake, you have to be careful… My cousin told me there are a lot of scoundrels in their circle!”
Jade shrank back, surprised:
“No way…”
Moore Audrey firmly huffed a couple of times:
“Knowing someone’s face doesn’t mean knowing their heart… You can misjudge people in real life, let alone someone who might be a packaged idol…”
Jade fell silent like a chicken…
Seeing her a bit down, Moore Audrey felt like she had done something wrong and quickly changed the subject.
After shopping with her best friend, Moore Audrey went home before nine, mainly because Jade suddenly told her a classmate was asking for her homework.
Then, Moore Audrey waved goodbye to her in the square and took a taxi home.
On the other hand, Jade stared at her phone’s chat interface, biting her lip, and finally, shaking off her worries, took a taxi to a certain upscale community.
