All I Want Is to Hug Her – Chapter 40

Bumped

After they finished eating and drinking, they took a taxi back home, getting out at the entrance of the community.

The two strolled leisurely along the road, and as they neared Moore Audrey’s home, Thompson Miguel reminded her that she needed to go listen to the questions tomorrow.

Moore Audrey nodded in agreement.

——

When Thompson Miguel returned home, the cat, eagerly greeted him at the door, rubbing against his feet for affection.

Thompson Miguel paused for a moment, looking at it, then bent down to pick it up and sat at the door.

He raised his hand to scratch its chin, his expression relaxing a bit.

Sitting at the door with the cat for a while, he then looked down, and Dumpling nibbled at his hand.

Thompson Miguel was startled, then stood up, carrying it to the storage room.

He found the cat food and poured it into the bowl.

Dumpling immediately jumped down from him and buried its head in the food, eating intently.

Thompson Miguel stood and watched for a while, then suddenly smiled, thinking of Moore Audrey from dinner today.

After staying a bit longer, he went upstairs to take a shower, and before going to bed, he specifically pulled out the exam papers from the recent monthly test, working through them on scratch paper, fully writing out the problems with multiple solutions.

The next morning, when Moore Audrey came downstairs, she was suddenly greeted with a surprise.

Moore Luis, who had been out, brought her mom home.

At that moment, her mom had just pushed Moore Luis away, who had shamelessly tried to kiss her.

Moore Audrey plopped down on the sofa, staring at Moore Luis. “When did you come back?”

Moore Luis had a sour expression, glancing at her coldly, and replied irritably, “This morning…”

Moore Audrey nodded, then looked at him with disdain, adding, “So early in the morning, you’re already being clingy… I’d be annoyed too if I were mom!”

After saying that, she immediately got up and ran away, causing Moore Luis to explode in anger, shouting her name.

Moore Audrey escaped to the kitchen, where Eloise was making breakfast.

Moore Audrey was delighted; finally, there was breakfast to eat. Although Nash’s cooking was decent, he didn’t have the habit of eating breakfast at home, so Moore Audrey had no chance to mooch off breakfast.

Now that her mom was back, it was truly wonderful!

Eloise noticed her sneaking a bite and glanced at her, not too sternly. “Have you washed your hands?”

Moore Audrey, with a fried dough in her mouth, turned to look at her mom, nodding vigorously, and waited until she finished eating the fried dough.

She sighed, “Mom, you’re really too virtuous…”

Eloise chuckled, “You…”

Then she turned off the soy milk machine, pouring the soy milk into a cup while asking, “Has your brother come back?”

Moore Audrey turned off the faucet and replied, “He’s been back for several days, but he always comes home in the middle of the night…”

Eloise nodded knowingly, then looked at her and said, “Don’t always bully your brother…”

Moore Audrey pouted, “I don’t want to bully him!”

Eloise shook her head helplessly, carrying the soy milk out.

“Bring the fried dough out!”

Moore Audrey responded, “Okay!”

Then she carried the fried dough and followed her out.

As soon as they exited the kitchen, they saw Moore Luis, who was fawning over Eloise, rushing forward to take the things from her hands.

Moore Audrey couldn’t help but tease, “Mom, are you going to have a little brother for me…”

Eloise turned around, puzzled, “What?”

But Moore Luis was the first to catch her joke, glaring at her. Moore Audrey stuck out her tongue.

After finishing breakfast with her parents, Moore Audrey informed them and then headed out.

Arriving at Thompson Miguel’s house, she rang the doorbell.

The one who opened the door was Thompson Miguel. As he entered the house, he closed the door behind him, and the girl secretly glanced around the room.

Suddenly, she recalled the boy’s voice:

“Today, I’m the only one at home…”

Moore Audrey was startled and quickly turned around.

Thompson Miguel, caught off guard, was bumped into by Moore Audrey.

Looking down at the girl who was holding her head and appeared a bit dazed:

“Thompson Miguel… your chest is so hard…”

Thompson Miguel’s ears turned red at her words, his gaze falling on her forehead as he slightly raised his hand:

“Are you okay?”

Moore Audrey stood in place for a moment, then waved her hand.

“All good!”
