All I Want Is to Hug Her – Chapter 38

Neddle

Moore Audrey was stunned, then quickly turned her head to look at the person behind her, surprised:

“Thompson Miguel!”

The boy’s expression remained impassive as he glanced at her, softly murmuring, and after a few seconds, added:

“Don’t space out while walking…”

Moore Audrey felt a bit dazed.

Looking at his direction, she asked in confusion:

“Where are you… going?”

Thompson Miguel lowered his hand, unconsciously scratching his palm with his thumb, looking down at the girl.

“Going somewhere…”

Moore Audrey nodded in understanding, and before she could say anything, the boy suddenly spoke again.

“Do you… want to come?”

Moore Audrey was taken aback, looking up at him, pondering for a few seconds before nodding.

“Okay… I’m just going home to do nothing anyway…”

After saying that, she paused and looked at him again.

“Will it affect you if I go with you?”

The boy paused slightly, shaking his head. “It won’t affect me…”

The two of them walked out from the entrance of the community.

Thompson Miguel turned to glance at her, suddenly speaking.

“Moore Audrey…”

Moore Audrey turned her head. “Ah~”

The boy looked straight ahead, seeming to want to chat.

“How did your exams go these past two days?”

Moore Audrey turned back, recalling the exam papers.

“Not bad, I feel like there were more basic questions, but… I couldn’t solve the last big questions in science and math…”

The boy nodded knowingly, glancing at her again, saying:

“The later questions were indeed a bit difficult, but they mainly just required applying a few formulas…”

Moore Audrey nodded in understanding, and before she could say anything, the boy suddenly asked:

“Do you want me to explain it to you?”

Moore Audrey was taken aback, turning to look at him. “Huh…?”

The boy turned to meet her gaze.

“I can explain it after school in the afternoon or on the weekend at home!”

Moore Audrey was stunned for a moment, then her face lit up with realization.

“That sounds good… but I didn’t bring the exam paper. How about I go to school tomorrow to get it, and then come to your house?”

Thompson Miguel shook his head.

“Just come directly to my house tomorrow; I have it…”

Moore Audrey responded with an “oh,” nodding. “Alright then!… I’ll come find you after dinner tomorrow…”

The boy nodded.

Moore Audrey turned back, intending to continue walking straight.

Just as she took a step, the boy suddenly reached out and grabbed her arm, pulling her to the left.

“Let’s go this way!”

Moore Audrey paused, following his lead into a small alley.

Curious, she looked around, completely forgetting that her arm was still in someone else’s grasp.

Thompson Miguel glanced at her, noticing her distraction, then looked down at the arm he was holding.

He stared at it for a moment, then raised his head to look ahead, walking a few steps before suddenly stopping.

Moore Audrey was taken aback; coming back to her senses, still curious, she turned to him.

“Are we there?”

The boy glanced at her, releasing her arm, and softly replied.

“Yeah…”

Moore Audrey nodded in understanding, then turned to look at the small shop in front of her, which looked a bit like a traditional medicine clinic.

Before she could express her confusion, the boy spoke up, stepping inside.

Moore Audrey hesitated, feeling a bit lost, and after a few seconds, she followed him inside.

Inside the clinic sat an elderly man, who looked like he had the ethereal demeanor often described in novels.

He seemed quite capable, and Moore Audrey suddenly remembered the lack of a sign outside the clinic; it must be a very special place.

While Moore Audrey was lost in thought, Thompson Miguel had already sat down and was discussing his recent progress with the old man.

The elder nodded, lifting his chin and looking around for a moment.

Occasionally, he would say a few words, such as “smile… frown, blink, and so on…”

Moore Audrey watched for a while, unable to hold back her laughter.

Both of them turned to look at her, and the girl quickly composed her face, pretending to be serious:

“Sorry, you can continue…”

Then she resumed her previous actions, and Moore Audrey’s expression became increasingly strange.

She had no choice but to quickly divert her gaze, finding something to think about to shift her attention.

Not long after, the girl heard the old man’s voice.

“Hey, that little girl over there…”

Moore Audrey snapped back to reality, turning to look at him, puzzled.

“??? ”

The elder looked at her, waving her over.

Moore Audrey hesitated for a few seconds, then stood up and walked over.

In the blink of an eye, she saw Thompson Miguel’s face with several needles flying around it, and she was taken aback, then burst into laughter.

The elder seemed a bit protective, scaring her with a warning.

Moore Audrey shrank back, obediently tucking her head in.

The elder instructed her to support Thompson Miguel’s head, and Moore Audrey understood, following his instructions to hold it steady.

Then, the elder raised his hand, skillfully inserting the needle.
