“Sister Moore, I’m going to miss you~ When can we play together again~?”
Moore Audrey patted her head, smiling, “You have such a sweet mouth~ Next time there’s a chance, just ask your uncle to bring you to find me and play…”
The little girl nodded, hugged her neck again, then ran to Thompson Miguel, grabbing the boy’s hand and waving goodbye to her.
Moore Audrey waved back at her.
Then the two got into a taxi and disappeared into the flow of traffic.
Moore Audrey stared at the cars coming and going for a while, then stretched lazily, biting into the candied hawthorn the little girl had given her as she headed home.
When she finally wandered home, she found a large box at the entrance and a faint aroma of food in the air. She instinctively thought her lovey-dovey parents had returned home.
After changing her shoes, she excitedly ran inside, “Dad! Mom!!!”
But just as she reached the kitchen door, she bumped into someone’s arms.
Her nose hurt from the impact, and tears welled up in her eyes.
“Still so clumsy as ever.”
A deep, low chuckle resonated above her head.
Moore Audrey rubbed her nose, looking up with surprise in her eyes.
“Brother!!!”
Moore Nash smiled at the little girl who only reached his elbow, his expression gentle as he reached out to pat her head.
“It seems you’ve grown quite a bit!”
Moore Audrey huffed, swatting his hand away.
“Don’t pat my head; you’ve made me shorter!”
Moore Nash chuckled softly, then turned serious, “Why are you the only one at home? Where are Mom and Dad?”
Moore Audrey’s face fell, pouting in dissatisfaction, “Do I even need to ask? Our heartless dad took Mom on a business trip… They probably won’t be back for at least ten days or half a month…”
Hearing this, Moore Nash tapped her forehead.
Moore Audrey covered her head, glaring at him angrily, “Ouch… why do you bully me as soon as you come back!”
Moore Nash huffed, glancing at her, “What a pity party, you won’t starve…”
Moore Audreywrinkled her nose, huffed, and turned her head away.
Moore Nash pushed her aside and walked out, placing the dishes on the table before calling, “Come eat!”
Moore Audrey excitedly ran over, but as soon as she sat down, her face suddenly fell, filled with regret.
Noticing her expression, Moore Nash asked curiously, “What’s wrong?”
Moore Audrey looked at the food in front of her, rubbed her belly, and said gloomily, “If I had known you were coming back, I wouldn’t have eaten out…”
Moore Nash chuckled, relishing her misfortune, “That’s what you get for not being able to control your mouth!”
Moore Audrey glared at him in frustration, saying nothing. After sitting at the dining table for a while, she lost patience and stood up.
“I’m going upstairs…”
Seeing Moore Nash nod, she turned and left the dining room, dragging her slippers as she ran upstairs.
Back in her room, she first found some clothes and took a shower. After drying her hair, she sat at her desk, planning to review her homework.
After pondering for half an hour, her phone, which had been set aside, suddenly vibrated with a message from her best friend, Jade.
Jade: “Audrey!!!”
Moore Audrey: “??? ”
Jade: “I saw my male god at the airport again today!!!!”
Moore Audrey: “… Why were you at the airport?”
Jade: “No… I meant the airport in the game!!!”
Moore Audrey chuckled and teased her.
Moore Audrey: “Wait a minute… when did you cross over into the game?”
Jade: “!!!!!!”
Jade: “If you keep teasing me, I’m going to get angry!!”
Moore Audrey quieted down.
Moore Audrey: “Okay, I won’t tease you… how did you recognize him?”
Moore Audrey: “Wait… how did you know he wasn’t a high-quality fake????”
Jade: “Hhh, you don’t know this, do you!”
Jade: “I have a special skill for recognizing male gods!”
Moore Audrey: “You’re really amazing!”
Moore Audrey: “But I still can’t figure out how to tell if he’s not a fake…”
