After being convinced by Moore Audrey, Jade followed her to the entrance. Moore Audrey studied the man, guessing he was the person Tristan had arranged for their “back door” exit.
After greeting him and explaining their situation, Taylor Callum was momentarily taken aback.
He hadn’t expected these two girls to have some background. However, he wasn’t assigned by Tristan… but he could take them down. After all, this door was practically unknown.
He then expertly played his part, naturally swiping his card to open the door and entering the elevator with them.
Inside the elevator, a silence fell. Moore Audrey stared at their reflections for a while, then suddenly realized something was wrong.
With that thought, she took out her phone, opened her browser, searched for a while, and then nodded with a sudden understanding.
Jade was curious. “What’s wrong?”
Moore Audrey glanced at the third person in the elevator, hesitating whether she should tell Jade.
After all, Jade’s explosive nature… was quite strong. She needed to think this through. Looking at Jade, she said, “Let me think for a moment…”
This caught Taylor Callum’s attention. Meeting Moore Audrey’s gaze, he knew she had recognized him.
Moore Audrey pondered for a few seconds. As the elevator neared their floor, she leaned close to Jade’s ear and whispered a few words.
The elevator doors opened. She turned to thank the man but then realized her best friend was gone.
Turning around, she saw the elevator doors had closed. Moore Audrey sighed helplessly. She really shouldn’t have told her.
Meanwhile, Taylor Callum in the elevator was being stared at intensely. While he was used to people’s attention, being stared at so “fiercely” was still uncomfortable.
He looked up at the source of the gaze. The girl’s eyes seemed to be shining. He paused, about to speak, when she suddenly shouted, “Brother!!!”
Taylor Callum was startled. He smiled helplessly. “…Do you want an autograph?”
Jade, “Yes!!!”
Then, she quickly rushed forward, holding out her hand. “Sign here!!!”
As Moore Audrey helplessly waited for the elevator to open again, only her close friend Jade stepped out.
And… she was super excited, which left Moore Audrey quite helpless.
The moment Jade saw her crush, she couldn’t stop talking and her legs just wouldn’t move, yes, that’s how it was.
For this, Jade earned Moore Audrey’s admiration; every girl chasing after her crush deserves respect.
Their perseverance is commendable, their spirit admirable.
On their way back, Jade kept studying the characters in her palm, worried that her sweat would smudge the writing.
Moore Audrey began to feel a bit annoyed, “If you’re afraid it’ll come off, why did you have him sign it?”
Jade shot her a glare, lifted her chin, and proudly said, “You don’t know this… if I have him sign in my palm, he can hold my hand~~”
Moore Audrey glanced at her, “You’re really clever~”
Jade raised her eyebrows in pride, but it didn’t last more than three seconds.
“It seems like you’ll do just fine in the upcoming monthly exam~~”
Moore Audrey lazily leaned back against the seat, accurately pinching her friend’s nerve.
Sure enough, as soon as grades were mentioned, Jade wilted.
Anyway, the two had a good relationship, but they were used to teasing each other every day; it felt uncomfortable if they didn’t poke at each other’s hearts.
Jade sighed for a moment, then suddenly remembered something and nudged Moore Audrey.
“I heard that the top student in our grade has been getting closer to you lately. You better confess, when did you meet him?”
Moore Audrey let out a light breath, “Spread rumors? I haven’t really been with him at school!”
Jade shrugged, blowing on her palm to prevent sweat from smudging the writing, “So you really do know the top student?”
Moore Audrey retorted, “So what if I know him? At least I’m ranked fifth in the grade!!!”
Jade chuckled, “Last time, didn’t you rank tenth?”
Moore Audrey lifted her chin, “That was because I deliberately did poorly; I have the ability to be fifth!”
