Her ponytail swayed with her running, and even though there was no punchline, Thompson Miguel couldn’t help but chuckle lightly without thinking.
But after laughing, he froze, then seemed to realize something, and indeed, being with Moore Audrey could cure facial paralysis.
Time slipped by, and before long, it was afternoon.
Moore Audrey had just finished packing her bag when she looked up and saw her little best friend, Jade, waiting for her to feed her.
Jade waved at her: “Little cutie, you promised to take me for ice cream, you have to keep your word!”
Moore Audrey was taken aback for a moment, then raised her hand to check the time. Today, school ended a bit earlier, so accompanying her little best friend for ice cream and then heading to her own gaming center should be fine.
After all, she had an appointment with Thompson Miguel at six o’clock.
The girl hesitated for just a moment but ultimately slung her bag over her shoulder and followed her little best friend.
At the entertainment center at six in the evening
It still looked quite lively. Thompson Miguel stood at the entrance of the entertainment center, staring expressionlessly in the direction of the school road.
The boy gazed at the sunset for a while, then looked down at his watch; it was already the agreed time of six o’clock.
But that person had yet to appear.
Thompson Miguel was feeling a bit irritated. For someone with certain compulsive tendencies, being late was quite infuriating.
Just as the boy had finished frowning, he heard a distant voice.
“Thompson Miguel!”
He looked up at the sound and saw Moore Audrey panting as she ran towards him… holding an ice cream.
Before he could react, the little girl stood in front of him, raised the ice cream high, and gasped out in between breaths:
“…to apologize~”
Thompson Miguel paused, looking at the item in her hand, and eventually took the ice cream from her.
He lowered his gaze to examine the ice cream, then looked up to meet Moore Audrey’s hopeful expression.
Thompson Miguel hesitated for a moment before extending the ice cream towards her.
“Do you want some?”
Moore Audrey shook her head vigorously, her eyes sparkling as she looked at him:
“You eat it! It’s really delicious!!!”
Thompson Miguel paused, glanced at the ice cream in his hand, then at Moore Audrey’s eager face.
Finally, under her expectant gaze, he ate the ice cream.
The next second, she couldn’t wait to ask:
“How is it… how is it? Is it delicious?”
Thompson Miguel turned to look at her, a bit amused by her expression. His usually cold demeanor softened slightly as he replied with a faint “mm.”
Then he heard the little girl cheerfully announce:
“Then let’s start today’s mission! I already got the tickets!”
Thompson Miguel nodded.
The two of them entered the entertainment center together.
“Let’s try this one first! It’s a bit easier; let’s see if it has any effect on your treatment!”
The little girl stood before the sign for the spinning chairs, looking very serious.
Thompson Miguel complied without hesitation.
Fortunately, there weren’t many people today, and they were just in time to get on.
Once seated, Moore Audrey was still quite relaxed before the chairs began to rise.
But as the chairs started to ascend, Moore Audrey began to panic a little.
Swinging her legs, she looked at Thompson Miguel with a serious expression:
“I feel like I’m no longer on Earth…”
Thompson Miguel replied, “…just relax, don’t look down…”
Moore Audrey looked up at the sky, but after a few seconds, she weakly said, “Thompson Miguel~ why do I feel like it’s still going up~”
Thompson Miguel glanced down at the height, not daring to tell the truth:
“It’s okay… just relax a bit…”
As soon as he finished speaking, the chairs began to spin.
Sure enough, she started to shrink back again.
“Thompson Miguel, I’m feeling a bit dizzy~”
Thompson Miguel thought, “…it seems we got the treatment object wrong.”
