Against the Alpha’s Claim – Chapter 321

You torment me

To her, it resembled a full moon containing three sapphire crescent moons within it. The pendant was affixed to a short, straight white gold filigree chain, which connected to a complete diamond necklace.

“One moon for each of our offspring,” he grinned at her as she touched it. “I only had three at that time when I had it designed.” He chuckled as she gazed up at him.

“It is exquisite,” she informed him.

He merely grinned at her before tapping the subsequent box, which was elongated and slender. She discerned the trajectory of the situation.

Upon opening it, I discovered a bracelet that complemented the necklace, albeit the moons were distinct, resembling a charm bracelet.

“There is capacity for additional input on that matter.” He grinned quietly. “I believe I am correct.”

The next box included earrings that were basic yet elegant: two attractive drop-style earrings, shaped like a crescent moon, featuring sapphires on the interior and diamonds encircling them.

“I adore them,” she smiled at him, rose to her feet, and no one prevented her from gently kissing him on the lips. “I shall wear them today.”

“Daily,” he said softly.

“Significant events,” she retorted.

“Hmm, daily adornment of a bracelet and earrings,” he proposed in return.

Bella chuckled, “Alright.” She nodded and saw him smiling down at her, clearly desiring that she wear them consistently. She suspected that they were expensive and that such jewellery should be reserved for special occasions only. At least, in her perspective. He was thereafter escorted out.

She now stood before the mirror, caressing the necklace, which even Tyler appreciated; his rationale resonated with her inner wolf. She heard her father say, “Are you ready, baby girl?” She glanced at him in the mirror and nodded. He was beaming directly at her, attired in pack colours, which she recognised, and she recognised she had never seen him wear that before.

“You appear stunning; I admire the dress, though it will surprise your partner.” He laughed.

“Excessive exposure of skin?”

“No.” He placed her hand in the crook of his arm and gazed directly at her. “You resemble a goddess.”

She smiled at him, which was her intended outcome. She donned the embellished stilettos and departed. “Are you anxious, dear girl?”

“Not particularly; we have been in a relationship for some time, experiencing numerous challenges together. I am aware of his love for me, and I reciprocate those feelings.” I have desired this for my entire life.

“I understand,” he said. “Now, here it is.” I understand he possesses two other surprises in reserve.

Bella gazed at her father, who chuckled softly at her inquisitive expression, “I shall not disclose it; you will discover it tomorrow morning, I presume.”

“You torment me, you are aware.”

“I am aware.” He smiled down at her. “It is my duty as your father to torment you and Brad at my discretion.”

Bella shook her head, stating, “I believed my mother was full of mischief.”

“Indeed, she is.” “I have been withholding information from you for several days.” He chuckled robustly.

Bella entered the ballroom on her father’s arm, smiling at the flowers overhead—her favourites, white roses interspersed with subtle hints of blue orchids, mirroring her arrangement visible from her position.

Luke was not wearing his pack suit, which was what she had anticipated. However, he stood there in a whole tuxedo, as did all his regiment. While standing next him, Dani observed that Margaret had entered the room ahead of her, accompanied by Nora. She had been somewhat taken aback by the invitation and attempted to decline, but none of them would accept her refusal.

Shed hesitantly consented and was now present, with all the females adorned in sheath illusion necklines and delicate blue chiffon dresses that cascaded to the floor in fluid fabric.

They appeared magnificent, adorned with bouquets of blue orchids, their hair elegantly brushed to the side and cascading in curls over their right shoulders. It appeared magnificent from that vantage point, she reflected.

Ascended the stairs with her father, received a kiss on her temple, and was entrusted to Luke with the admonition to behave.

Luna Darla was present to perform the ceremony and would not permit anybody else to undertake it. It appeared to be her responsibility to declare the new Luna and present her to the pack.

Luke stood looking at her; she observed Maddis momentarily forward, grin directly at her, and compliment her beauty before retreating back to Luke. He merely smiled at her later. The ceremony was unadorned, and all attendees were requested to observe a moment of silence to pray for the newlyweds.

Bella, once the cherished lover of future Alpha Luke of the Red Moon Pack, finds her world shattered when she is banished from her pack. Her crime? Striking Luke’s newly discovered fated mate with claws unsheathed—a reflex her wolf, Tyler, cryptically defends with the words, “To protect the pup.” Stripped of her place in the pack and warned never to return, Bella complies, narrowly avoiding the rogue label since Luke has not yet ascended to full Alpha status. Heartbroken and resolute, she retreats to the human world, immersing herself in university life to complete her law degree. Bella carves out a new existence as a successful divorce attorney, far from the pack that cast her aside, the future Luna who despises her, and the secret she guards fiercely—her children, the legacy of a love she can never reclaim. Six years pass in self-imposed exile, but the past refuses to stay buried. When an official letter from the Red Moon Pack demands her return, Bella defiantly burns it, vowing never to step foot in Luke’s territory again. But Luke, now the reigning Alpha, is relentless. He will bring her back, no matter the cost. Bound by the constraints of human law and society, Luke cannot simply take her by force—her prominence in the human world complicates any attempt to make her disappear. Yet, he is determined to claim what he believes is his by right. As their paths cross again, Bella is thrust into a storm of conflicting emotions. Her wolf yearns for Luke, urging her to reclaim the bond they share, but Bella’s heart is torn. She despises the man who cast her out yet still feels the undeniable pull of their connection. To her, Luke’s motives are clear: he wants his heirs by his side, not her. She believes his wolf drives him to claim her, while the man himself sees her merely as the mother of his children, a convenient solution to his legacy. But is that the truth? Or does Luke harbor a deeper love for her that he has yet to admit—even to himself? In the battle between pride and fate, will Bella surrender to the mate bond or stand firm in her resolve to remain free? Only time will reveal whether their fractured past can heal, or if the scars will prove too deep to overcome.
