Against the Alpha’s Claim – Chapter 303

Regain his composure.

Macky had whispered, “She’s probably too fatigued by Lanky to contemplate it,” in the outset; each time she did so, Lanky would message the girl, after which both would go shortly thereafter. It probably began as a means to divert her attention, but they no longer believed that to be the case. Lanky consistently monitored his watch, aware of her whereabouts and availability to meet him.

All would discover the truth on the full moon. The sun was scheduled to set shortly after 6 PM, while Bella’s Luna ceremony was planned for that day at 8 PM. Lanky must be present for that, and with both Maya and Elena integrated into the pack, some reorganisation has occurred.

The Luna Ceremony had now transformed into a wedding; she would don a wedding dress of her selection and be escorted down the aisle to him by Jodi. They would exchange their vows, and he intended to kiss her before the entire pack, not that he refrained from doing so presently, but this occasion would witness the presence of all.

The event was scheduled to take place outside, adjacent to the ballroom, where a raised platform was being constructed—the same one utilised during his ascension as Alpha of the pack. Attendees were monitoring the weather, hoping to avoid a snowstorm; thus far, conditions appeared favourable, although nature might be unpredictable at times.

He would utilise a pack-wide mind-link to extend his welcome and express gratitude to the moon goddess, as it would be inappropriate to do so in the presence of humans within the pack, rendering the approach quite unconventional. He anticipated that she would continue to wear the dress he purchased for her. She informed him of her preference for it, and he genuinely believed she would be exquisite in it.

He apologised for being arrogant in purchasing her a Luna Ceremony dress, explaining that he merely wanted to convey his desire for her to wear it, and assured her that she was not obligated to don it if she preferred not to. To acquire everything she desired, she merely smiled at him, shook her head, and stated she would don it for him.

Despite her concerns regarding the tailored mermaid-style dress potentially not fitting on the day, as he cocked an eyebrow at her, she placed her hand on her abdomen and softly remarked, “I might have a baby bump by then.”

That had elicited a smile from him; he appreciated the notion, and given she was carrying an Alpha pup, he recognised it would develop rapidly, perhaps arriving in under three and a half months. Maddis remained convinced that it belonged to him, not Luke.

Maddis enjoyed reminding him, “my pup, not yours.” On certain days, he chuckled at him while they contemplated.

Maddis informed both Bella and Tyler about himself. Bella shook her head, appeared delighted, and Tyler purred loudly for him. It is possible that their wolves possessed knowledge beyond their own understanding. It is conceivable that it was conceived while Maddis and Tyler were in command of their human forms during her oestrus.

Luke was indifferent, as was Bella. According to his observations, the triplets had gazed at them upon receiving the news, remained silent for an extended moment, and then simultaneously nodded. He frequently observed their actions, which demonstrated their profound connection, although he was occasionally astonished by their flawless synchronisation. Three pairs of eyes focused intently on him, reflecting identical expressions on their faces. He had experienced only one occasion that caused him to shiver entirely. Bella and the triplets had simultaneously turned to face him, all displaying frowns.

He mentioned the triplets commencing school, adding that he believed it was beneficial for them to begin in the morning. Evidently, none of them, including Bella, favoured this notion.

Although they had recently returned from L.A., she evidently was not prepared to be completely apart from them for a whole day at that moment.

All four individuals simultaneously directed their gazes at him, four pairs of green eyes fixated upon him, causing his entire body to shudder involuntarily. He had been aware of their connection to their moms’ emotions to some extent, and he witnessed the depth of that connection in that singular instant. It had somewhat unnerved him, leaving him utterly speechless for over a minute before he could regain his composure.

Bella

Bella received a mental communication from Luke informing her that he and his unit were departing pack territory for a conference. She scowled upon realising that the sun had not yet risen; he had departed for training. It seemed peculiar to notify her at this moment.

“What is the reason?” She enquired with a yawn, her curiosity piqued as her gaze fell upon the clock she had positioned on the wall opposite their bed. She grinned at it; it had originated from her apartment, was nearly a metre in diameter, and included numerous gears in its core. It indicated that it was just past 6 AM; his training would not conclude for another hour.

Bella, once the cherished lover of future Alpha Luke of the Red Moon Pack, finds her world shattered when she is banished from her pack. Her crime? Striking Luke’s newly discovered fated mate with claws unsheathed—a reflex her wolf, Tyler, cryptically defends with the words, “To protect the pup.” Stripped of her place in the pack and warned never to return, Bella complies, narrowly avoiding the rogue label since Luke has not yet ascended to full Alpha status. Heartbroken and resolute, she retreats to the human world, immersing herself in university life to complete her law degree. Bella carves out a new existence as a successful divorce attorney, far from the pack that cast her aside, the future Luna who despises her, and the secret she guards fiercely—her children, the legacy of a love she can never reclaim. Six years pass in self-imposed exile, but the past refuses to stay buried. When an official letter from the Red Moon Pack demands her return, Bella defiantly burns it, vowing never to step foot in Luke’s territory again. But Luke, now the reigning Alpha, is relentless. He will bring her back, no matter the cost. Bound by the constraints of human law and society, Luke cannot simply take her by force—her prominence in the human world complicates any attempt to make her disappear. Yet, he is determined to claim what he believes is his by right. As their paths cross again, Bella is thrust into a storm of conflicting emotions. Her wolf yearns for Luke, urging her to reclaim the bond they share, but Bella’s heart is torn. She despises the man who cast her out yet still feels the undeniable pull of their connection. To her, Luke’s motives are clear: he wants his heirs by his side, not her. She believes his wolf drives him to claim her, while the man himself sees her merely as the mother of his children, a convenient solution to his legacy. But is that the truth? Or does Luke harbor a deeper love for her that he has yet to admit—even to himself? In the battle between pride and fate, will Bella surrender to the mate bond or stand firm in her resolve to remain free? Only time will reveal whether their fractured past can heal, or if the scars will prove too deep to overcome.
