Against the Alpha’s Claim – Chapter 298

As instructed

The accounts of the events, as recounted by her and Macky, were not anything she wished to revisit. However, she complied and seated herself as instructed to compose the report, detailing her account from her viewpoint. Not an action she had undertaken before. This was her initial authentic report for Luna, and it pertained to herself.

Despite her ailment, certain details were unrecorded; she could not vividly remember anything after her fight mode was activated, including the confrontation she was aware of with the three guys in her cell. Not the confrontation she had with the Alpha above ground after exiting her confinement.

Although Luke and Benzy had previously observed that before Maddis intervened.

Luke had registered it over himself. As a lawyer, she was adept at draughting reports, making the articulation of a statement of facts very straightforward. Accompanying the report was a list of enquiries from the council for her to address.

Those posed to her had been more challenging to address. Despite the activation of her condition, she endeavoured to respond to them to the best of her ability.

Bella recognised that Luke merely wished to peruse her writings to comprehend her emotions during the ordeal, and she permitted him to read it. They had previously discussed the matter, and she not only addressed his enquiries but he also reciprocated by answering all of hers.

All participants possessed a set of enquiries to be addressed for the council. Bella recognised that Luke and Benzy’s relationship differed from hers and Macky’s. Lanky’s father and brother posed queries that were distinct from those of others. The list of questions primarily focused on their feelings over events rather than the actual occurrences and the strategies employed to address the matter.

It was intriguing not only to her but also to Luke himself. He pondered whether it was entirely attributable to their Mate Bond, while Alpha Philip continued to evaluate Bella’s contentment in her new environment and her satisfaction in being with him. He stated that he could foresee her future presence. Luke contemplated whether the man was still pursuing her regarding this matter. He stated that he would be monitoring her periodically. This may have only been an alternative method of achieving it.

All of that had been transmitted a few days after their return to the pack, and life had resumed its normalcy, or as normal as it could be following her and Macky’s encounter. She had no intention of departing from the group in the near future. Particularly due to her pregnancy, she was unwilling to take any risks. It had been excessively simple for both her and Macky to be captured.

She was now seated with him in his office, listening to Alpha Philip declare that the council had conducted an investigation into the matter.

I listened to Mia’s perspective and was reprimanded by Luke for that comment. She placed a hand on him to attempt to soothe him, but remained silent herself. She disapproved of the consideration given to her life before the incident. Should have just relied on her conduct at that moment.

However, she and Macky had overheard the woman articulate what they could only surmise her life entailed. Furthermore, it became evident that Mia had never genuinely desired Luke’s return; she merely sought his presence to facilitate her Alpha’s elimination of him, a form of retribution for reasons known only to her.

The woman was situated in a cell, but a pleasant one, within one of the alpha council estates. He did not specify which one. He said that her recent childbirth and the existence of two other youngsters in her pack, whose paternity she was unaware of, were the reasons.

Her life became arduous following the dissolution of Luke and Mia’s relationship; she returned to her father, who was profoundly disillusioned by the severance of ties between Luke’s pack and theirs. Her actions was explicitly presented to him, ensuring he comprehended that she was the unfaithful person.

He had dispatched her to another pack, unable to manage her prevailing demeanour, where she was assigned to a warrior to be mated shortly after her arrival.

The Alpha and his unit engaged with her at their discretion throughout the majority of her stay. Seemingly favoured the idea of engaging with a once Luna-ranked she-wolf.

Her father had not assisted her, had not retrieved her, and had stated that she had created her circumstances, thus she must endure them.

This was the consequence of one’s infidelity and disrespect towards the Goddess herself. She was currently being chastised by the Goddess, and she must endure it for as long as the Goddess deemed appropriate.

For years, she endured abuse by that Alpha and his Unit and now has three children, the paternity of whom remains unknown to her. None of them asserted anything to the children, either. The children had been collected and were now in her custody. Two possessed Beta blood, but the newborn was of Delta blood; the council discerned this merely from olfactory detection.

Bella, once the cherished lover of future Alpha Luke of the Red Moon Pack, finds her world shattered when she is banished from her pack. Her crime? Striking Luke’s newly discovered fated mate with claws unsheathed—a reflex her wolf, Tyler, cryptically defends with the words, “To protect the pup.” Stripped of her place in the pack and warned never to return, Bella complies, narrowly avoiding the rogue label since Luke has not yet ascended to full Alpha status. Heartbroken and resolute, she retreats to the human world, immersing herself in university life to complete her law degree. Bella carves out a new existence as a successful divorce attorney, far from the pack that cast her aside, the future Luna who despises her, and the secret she guards fiercely—her children, the legacy of a love she can never reclaim. Six years pass in self-imposed exile, but the past refuses to stay buried. When an official letter from the Red Moon Pack demands her return, Bella defiantly burns it, vowing never to step foot in Luke’s territory again. But Luke, now the reigning Alpha, is relentless. He will bring her back, no matter the cost. Bound by the constraints of human law and society, Luke cannot simply take her by force—her prominence in the human world complicates any attempt to make her disappear. Yet, he is determined to claim what he believes is his by right. As their paths cross again, Bella is thrust into a storm of conflicting emotions. Her wolf yearns for Luke, urging her to reclaim the bond they share, but Bella’s heart is torn. She despises the man who cast her out yet still feels the undeniable pull of their connection. To her, Luke’s motives are clear: he wants his heirs by his side, not her. She believes his wolf drives him to claim her, while the man himself sees her merely as the mother of his children, a convenient solution to his legacy. But is that the truth? Or does Luke harbor a deeper love for her that he has yet to admit—even to himself? In the battle between pride and fate, will Bella surrender to the mate bond or stand firm in her resolve to remain free? Only time will reveal whether their fractured past can heal, or if the scars will prove too deep to overcome.
