It appeared to be a sensitive issue. A conflict had undoubtedly arisen between the two sisters, presumably involving a man. Had not yet discussed it with her. Bella was uncertain whether Nora would discuss the matter with her and hoped she would.
I intended to attempt it today. Nora was aware that Halley’s nanny, Lidia, was absent this morning but would return this afternoon. Although Nora was occupied with work, Bella planned to discreetly accompany her to the office under the guise of a meeting to investigate the situation.
It was evident to her that Nora had changed since Maya’s ankle sprain; Macky perceived it as well. Shed claimed it was nothing, however the silence and her gaze towards her younger sister occasionally conveyed profound meaning, not solely to Macky. He recognised her distress on the matter and was unable to employ the Gamma Charm to elicit a conversation with her. It would likely only irritate her. Therefore, he had made no effort whatsoever. I was deliberately avoiding being in Maya’s presence at all times. Although Bella perceived that Nora was also aware of this, it did not ameliorate the situation.
The three ladies frequently convened outside of her standard working hours, resulting in Maya’s consistent presence around Macky. It seemed to be exerting pressure on them. Macky had not previously observed this in L.A.; he had only spent time with Nora on dates, not much with her family. However, Maya’s constant presence made it conspicuous to everyone.
Nora and I entered her office shortly thereafter, and I requested that she have a seat. I enquired, “Nora, are you concerned about Macky’s attraction to your sister?”She enquired directly. While it was not her role as an employer, it was her role as the woman’s future Luna.
Nora gazed at her with a puzzled expression. “I have observed that you have become increasingly silent around Macky, and he has as well, despite your assertion that it was inconsequential.” He is apprehensive that you believe he favours your sister over you.
“This would not be the inaugural instance.” Nora exhaled after a little silence, perhaps contemplating whether to discuss the matter.
Macky will not subject you to it, Nora. I have known him for my entire life. The man is devoted to a single woman.
“I am not his partner,” she declared bluntly.
“Indeed, you are.” Bella laughed. “I have never observed him gaze at anyone as he gazes at you.” Although he may be proceeding cautiously, Nora, this is due to the novelty of the situation; he intends neither to hasten you nor himself, as he desires for you to become well acquainted with him.
Nora gazed at her for an extended period, remaining entirely silent.
Bella exhaled deeply and settled beside her, “What is it, Nora?”
I am your buddy, not only your boss. Permit me entry.
I may be able to assist in some capacity.
“She is educated and I am not; she is obtaining her university degree while I am merely a nanny.” Why would he choose me when she is younger, more attractive, pursuing an education, and evidently more intelligent?” Bella gazed at her, somewhat taken aback by her assertion.
“Has Maya ever appropriated a boyfriend from you previously?”
“Indeed, more than one.” She nodded, “Is intent on targeting Macky; I perceive it.” she whispered softly.
Macky lacks interest in Maya, Nora. He is unwaveringly faithful.
“You assert that,” she exhaled. “However, that holds no significance.” All claim to be loyal and trustworthy. Ultimately, she acquires them…to be clear, I cherish my sister, however at times I wish she would refrain from engaging with anyone I find appealing.
Bella scowled, “Your most recent boyfriend?””
“Indeed, she was the individual with whom I discovered him.” I anticipated that Macky would behave differently, although they are currently evading one another. The first observation I consistently make is before I encounter Maya with one of them or one of my friends with one of them. I am not particularly intelligent, Bella. I narrowly completed high school with a passing grade. Maya, conversely, is both gorgeous and exceptionally intelligent, possessing the ability to attract anybody she desires.
“Understood.” Macky approached me, Nora, expressing concerns for you, rather than Maya. You might consider disclosing your anxieties or your previous experiences with Maya to him. He can elucidate his desires to you directly. He is merely evading Maya to enhance your comfort, not due to any clandestine activities between them.
“You assert that, yet she occasionally vanishes, roaming for hours to unknown destinations.”
“I can assure you that it is not with Macky.” Macky occupies a significant role here; when he is not with you, he is either with me, Luke, or engaged in work. He is a busy individual, yet if you were to request his presence at any time, day or night, he would prioritise you and arrive promptly.
