Her flat had been organised and settled, with the moving company scheduled to arrive on the 4th to pack and transport all her and the children’s belongings here. She desired to return with her wardrobe, as Luke’s selection of attire for her was entirely conservative. She much missed her short, pleated skirts and stilettos, relishing the height they provided.
She changed from her jeans and jumper into dark blue pants and a white silk long-sleeved top, donned the matching jacket, put on black boots and exited the suite, only to discover Alpha Tomas lounging against the wall, awaiting her arrival.
She halted abruptly and gazed at him with a hint of shame as his eyes shifted to the bag in her hand.
“Currently, Luna.” Are you evading my son?“He enquired nonchalantly.”
“Negative!”She shook her head at him; technically, she was not.
“Please inform me of your destination.””
“To conclude my human existence.” I shall return.
“It appears that Luke is completely unaware.”
Bella exhaled, “No.” Will you inform him, Tomas?”
“You are the Luna.” He shrugged. “I cannot dictate your actions, but please answer a question, and if your response meets my expectations.” He claims ignorance.
Bella acquiesced.
“Who is in charge among all of you, excluding Lanky, outside of pack territory?”He was now gazing at her intently.
She recognised that she was presently in command, and with her and Macky departing, Lanky would assume leadership of the pack, adhering to the established chain of command. However, his direct gaze suggested to her that this was not the correct response.
“You are Alpha Tomas.”
He observed the man smile directly at her and state, “Correct answer.” Subsequently, he detached himself from the wall and proceeded down the corridor.
“Wishing you a pleasant journey, Bella.” He laughed as he departed from her. He paused and gazed at her from the top of the steps, stating, “You may wish to be unclothed when he pursues you over there; you are aware he will, correct?” I anticipate it will significantly distract him.
“Yes.” She affirmed, aware that he would pursue her, which is why she had informed the children they would be residing with their grandparents. “I can handle that,” she informed him, observing his nod. Subsequently, descend the stairs at a leisurely pace, maintaining a smile. His behaviour was somewhat peculiar.
Macky awaited her downstairs with the vehicle. Where is Lanky? She enquired of him, expressing her desire to prevent that man from contacting Luke, as he may potentially return and thwart their plans, having been absent for only 20 minutes.
“I believe he is with the team physician, assisting in the research of Adrenaline.” That man will be engrossed in a book or immersed in internet research articles for days. “It is probable that we will remain unaware of the situation until our return.” He laughed and placed her suitcase in the rear seat. “He will probably still be engrossed in a book when I am incarcerated upon our return.”
“TH permits you to exit each night, and you must return before he awakens.” She chuckled gently.
They ascended and were airborne forty minutes later. “There is no turning back now,” she reflected, speaking aloud.
“Negative.” We are both in a predicament now.
“Technically, as long as you are with me.” What is the problem? Are we not together? How much longer will he prevent you from being with your mate Macky? It has been weeks now. His behaviour is somewhat egocentric.
“I acknowledge that it is not entirely equitable.” However, I comprehend the rationale behind Bella.
“It is entirely unjust, Macky; your father is part of the pack, and I am confident he possesses equal capability to manage me as you do.”
“It has improved significantly; you appear more composed now.”
It required much effort, however.
“It did,” she said with a nod.
“You two are well, correct?””
“Indeed.” She said, “Once I conclude my human existence, all will align as it ought to.” And it would.
“Why do I feel unconvinced?”He whispered gently.
She beamed at him. “Everything is satisfactory, Macky.”
“Bella?”“
“Macky?””
“Bella?”“
She exhaled with frustration, unable to circumvent the Gamma and his irritating awareness of her emotions. “I cannot simply disregard what transpired, you understand. I am attempting to. “However, I believe it will persist in the recesses of my mind.” She gazed out the window, genuinely attempting to relinquish it, however only a few weeks had elapsed, and although she loved him, she was certain that he loved her as well. There remained a slight vestige of doubt to address.
“What precisely occupies your thoughts?””
Her gaze shifted to Macky. “If you believe I did not perceive that faint southern drawl, then you are mistaken.” He laughed. “Come on, Bella, I am your Gamma.” Entrust it to me.
