Against the Alpha’s Claim – Chapter 209

Bite me

“It may be quite detrimental.” She nodded and gazed at the door. She inhaled deeply and remarked, “He resembles you.” Then, she glanced at Bella before directing her gaze towards Macky. “It’s no surprise you’re so muscular.” She shook her head and added, “I suppose I’m as prepared as I can be.”

Macky unlocked the door and entered; they followed her, and she observed Dani surveying the space. “It’s enormous,” she mumbled.

“The suite belongs to you and Robyn, contingent upon your forgiveness and acceptance of him.”

– “Shall he designate me?”“She inquired.”

“Affirmative.” At least she had ceased uttering ‘bite me.’

Macky across the living room and opened the door to the master suite, guiding Dani inside the room; Robyn appeared rather well. He attempted to sit up; his face and arms had healed, although she noticed bandages beneath his shirt, concealing the injuries from Dani’s view.

She observed Dani biting her lower lip while gazing at him, well aware of his true nature as a werewolf.

“Dani, I apologize,” he declared as he successfully positioned himself upright.

His gaze shifted to her neck, where she wore a basic bandage over the unhealed cut. Given its lack of healing, it was improbable to improve, and inflicting further injury would certainly exacerbate her anguish at that moment. He would be aware of all of this.

Dani stood observing him, appearing uncertain about how to act or speak. Bella noticed him extend his hands towards her, prompting her to flinch at the agony. Eventually, Dani approached the bed and grasped his hands. “You are required to provide an explanation, are you not?”

“I am acquainted with Dani.” He affirmed with a nod.

To the astonishment of both Bella and Macky, they observed Dani position herself on the edge of the bed, remove the dressing from her neck, and assertively address Robyn, saying, “Fix me.” They noted Robyn’s momentary surprise as she replied, “You must complete it; I do not wish to perish.” I may express my anger at you at a later time.

“Dani?””

“Negative.” “Now,” she commanded him.

His gaze intersected with Bella’s. “We shall provide you with some solitude.” She acknowledged him with a nod before exiting the room. Macky trailed her outside.

chamber.

“Fortunate individual.”

“Not at all.” Bella shook her head, “She genuinely meant those words; she will be angry with him later.” She possesses a slight temper; she may permit him to mark her at this moment, but it is probable that this will be the extent of his privileges until their marriage or the arrival of the full moon. She said as they exited the suite.

“Nevertheless, he is fortunate that she is inclined to pardon him.”

“I trust you possess greater knowledge.” She gazed at him intently.

I possess superior knowledge. I possess the patience of a deity. I am not only willing to wait for my Nora, but I will also gladly allow her to mate with me as much as she desires until she is prepared to be marked by me.

“Good.” Bella nodded and glanced at her watch. “I will call her to enquire about the situation.” Prompt her on the employment offer. Luke is correct; perhaps now is the moment. If they have lost everything, they will require a fresh start.

“That would be pleasant.” He nodded and offered a little smile.

“Have you considered a method to remove Luke from pack territory?” Should I fail to persuade her.

“The children provided me with an idea.”

“Did they?””

“They were discussing Christmas, and I am aware that neither of you has engaged in Christmas shopping for them.”

“A commendable idea.” However, there is a singular issue with it.

“Affirmative?””

“He will not depart from this pack before I enter oestrus, not even as far as Rotchester.”

“Hmm, well Bella…enter oestrus already.” He prodded her and chuckled softly.

She shook her head and chuckled, stating, “It doesn’t operate in that manner.”

“Pretend until you succeed,” he chuckled.

He gazed directly at him, stating, “When the time comes, he will not require your assistance.”

You may just depart, and he would remain unaware till later.

“Benzy would possess knowledge.” I would be defeated by him.

“Only if you inform him, I bestowed my Luna’s blessing for you to seek your Mate.”

“Perhaps I will devise a method to escape, or you could facilitate my exit.”

“Alternatively, I could simply invite Nora here, thereby avoiding any displeasure of the Alpha.” She laughed.

Macky concurred, stating, “That would indeed be the optimal choice.”

“If I am unable to do so, I must return to conclude my human existence; he has consented to this, although he stipulates that I cannot go alone.”

“It is advisable that you refrain.”

“You may accompany me if we have not secured Nora’s presence by that time.”

“Arguably the most rational strategy.” He acquiesced.

When an official letter from the Red Moon Pack demands her return, Bella defiantly burns it, vowing never to step foot in Luke’s territory again. But Luke, now the reigning Alpha, is relentless. He will bring her back, no matter the cost. Her wolf yearns for Luke, urging her to reclaim the bond they share, but Bella’s heart is torn. She despises the man who cast her out yet still feels the undeniable pull of their connection. To her, Luke’s motives are clear: he wants his heirs by his side, not her. She believes his wolf drives him to claim her, while the man himself sees her merely as the mother of his children, a convenient solution to his legacy. But is that the truth? Or does Luke harbor a deeper love for her that he has yet to admit—even to himself? In the battle between pride and fate, will Bella surrender to the mate bond or stand firm in her resolve to remain free? Only time will reveal whether their fractured past can heal, or if the scars will prove too deep to overcome.
