After Divorce, No Second Chance – Chapter 71

Go ahead and call now

As Juliet showcased the interior pictures of the house, she continued her introduction.

“Can it be transacted today?”

This was the only question Jacob cared about.

“Uh, if Mr. Deby is paying in full, it should be possible!”

“However, I still need to call the owner to confirm.”

This was the first time Juliet had encountered a buyer who was solely focused on whether the transaction could be completed quickly.

“Go ahead and call now. If we can transact today, we’ll go see the house right away,” Jacob said.

“Okay.”

“Mr. Deby, please wait a moment.”

Juliet quickly contacted the owner based on the registration information. After a brief conversation, she hung up the phone.

“Mr. Deby, it’s confirmed that the transaction can be completed today. The house has no mortgage, and the owner will arrive in ten minutes,” Juliet provided a positive response.

“Great, let’s go see the house!”

Jacob stood up, not wanting to waste any time.

“Alright!”

Juliet grabbed the electric bike keys from the table and locked the store door as they went out.

“Mr. Deby, I’ll give you a ride. Zoko Community is just behind our store, very close.”

“Sure.”

Jacob didn’t hesitate and hopped onto the back seat of the electric bike. However, given his weight, sitting behind the petite Juliet created a stark contrast, resembling a small horse pulling a large cart.

Juliet rode quite fast, and when they went over a speed bump, Jacob was jolted up from his seat, and as he fell back down, his body naturally pressed against Juliet.

Let’s not forget that Jacob had just added two centimeters to his height. He was still in his workout clothes, which made the closeness even more pronounced.

Juliet had a carefree personality and often rode the electric bike to show clients houses, but generally, she didn’t take male clients, fearing they might take advantage of her.

However, Jacob was a big client looking to buy a house for 800,000 in cash. If this deal went through, she would earn an 8,000 commission, so she didn’t mind these small details. But unexpectedly, things took a turn. After going over the speed bump, she clearly felt something pressing against her backside.

At first, she didn’t react, but once she did, her face turned bright red, and she quickly shifted her position forward, trying to act nonchalant.

In her heart, she couldn’t help but silently exclaim: This Mr. Deby is quite well-endowed! At that moment, Jacob had no idea what Juliet was thinking; otherwise, he might have cheekily replied, “Mine is quite big too, just bear with it.”

Thanks to Juliet’s excellent driving skills, the two arrived before the homeowner.

Jacob stood downstairs, looking around. Although the community was relatively old, it was kept quite clean. The trash bins in front of the building were neatly arranged, and an elderly person was rummaging through them for water bottles and cardboard boxes that could be sold.

Juliet parked the electric bike and then secretly glanced at the tall Jacob. He was wearing a set of Fila sportswear, and there was a noticeable bulge about ten centimeters below his waist.

Her cheeks flushed slightly as she silently reminded herself that she wasn’t intentionally looking there.

“Jacob, although the houses in this community are 22 years old, the property management company was changed a few years ago, and the maintenance of the infrastructure and cleanliness has been quite good. Plus, the property fee is very cheap, only one Dollar per square meter.”

While waiting for the homeowner to arrive, Juliet introduced the situation of the community.

“Mm.”

Jacob nodded; these details weren’t what he was focused on.

After waiting for a while, a middle-aged woman in her forties approached.

“Mrs. Maisie, this is the buyer, Mr. Deby.”

Juliet pointed at Jacob for the introduction.

Mrs. Maisie instinctively sized up Jacob, and when her gaze swept over his waist, a smile immediately appeared on her face: “So it’s Jacob Deby, right? Let’s look at the house first, then we can chat.”

Jacob felt that this older sister’s smile was a bit strange, but he couldn’t pinpoint why, so he didn’t think much of it.

The three of them entered the building together. The house was on the third floor, which was considered a prime floor for this six-story old building.

The interior decoration matched the pictures, and it was furnished with basic appliances. Just as Juliet had said, this 65-square-meter old house had an interior area comparable to an 80-square-meter new house, and the balcony was quite spacious.

“Jacob, let me tell you, if it weren’t for the divorce and splitting the assets, I wouldn’t sell this house. Even if I don’t live here, renting it out is still very cost-effective.”
