“Recite it aloud,” commands King Arthur.
“Are your allies aware that he is still alive, Noel?”
– TR
I crumple the paper, recalling how John referred to me as Noel during his visits to Cyrus in our childhood.
“Who is the individual to whom John refers?” King Arthur enquires.
“There is no individual of concern,” I respond, fervently wanting Jadi would simply vanish.
“Oh, indeed?” Alpha Richard responds. “It appears to me that you are concealing something from your fellow Allies.”
“Speak, Alpha, and I shall determine if it warrants our concern,” commands King Arthur, my wolf powerless against his sovereign’s directive.
Arden advances to respond. “Olivia’s son remains alive.”
“Which one?” enquired the King, Richard, and Nellie simultaneously.
“The latter.”
“Where is he?” Nellie demands. “And why did you not inform me?!”
“As I mentioned, he is not your concern. The boy is in a location where he cannot be discovered,” Arden retorts. “Therefore, we can proceed—”
“Move on?” Nellie derided. “You anticipate that we can proceed when you have concealed a son from me, your spouse!”
“It is well-known that I had two sons prior to our marriage!” I detonate. “My dealings with him are not your concern.” Jaxton remains my sole successor; therefore, you and Richard need not be concerned. The forthcoming Alpha of Scarlett Haven will be a progeny of your pack.
“Sufficient!” King Arthur’s exclamations reverberate through the walls as he stands upright. The room is enveloped in quiet awaiting the King’s address. The boy is a Moonlit Wolf, a rarity indeed. Acquiring an additional formidable ally in this conflict would confer a strategic edge over Stonecold and their coalition. Deliver him to me, and I shall ensure he becomes a formidable soldier in my army.
I regain control, pushing Arden to the recesses of my thoughts for speaking out.
“However, sir—”
“That is a command,” King Arthur bellows.
“Affirmative, sir,” I respond between clenched teeth.
“Oh, and Noel,” King Arthur calls as he concludes the meeting, his voice dropping an octave. “Should you ever conceal another secret from me, I will personally eliminate you.”

..Nellie’s Perspective
Noel declines to provide any information on his clandestine son, disregarding me during the journey to the pack.
I scream and kick, yet my minor outburst is in vain, as Noel arrives at the pack-house without even a fleeting glance in my direction. Resolute in my quest for information, I accompany him into the office, unwilling to depart as he summons Beta Earl and Gamma Rocco.
“Leave, Nellie,” Noel exhales, massaging his temples.
“You must disclose the identity of the boy first!” I react abruptly.
Noel scrutinises me intently before sighing once again.
“He is absent.” Rocco will retrieve him.
“Jaxton must accompany him,” I assert, unwilling to relent. “He is entitled to know the identity of his brother prior to being dispatched to war with the King’s soldiers.”
“If I proceed with this, will you cease your incessant chatter?” Noel responds, my previous outburst appearing to have affected him. I comply with a nod, and he motions towards the door. “Subsequently, admit Jaxton and depart.”
The King want the lad for warfare; nevertheless, should he demonstrate greater strength than Jaxton, Noel will be compelled to revoke our child’s title. We must guarantee our infant assumes his rightful position as Alpha, Rhea, my wolf, hisses as we depart to seek Jaxton.
I exhale, acknowledging her correctness, and discover my kid tormenting an omega in the laundry room.
“Jaxton!” I command,” Jaxton remarked, rolling his eyes as he withdrew his hands from the weeping omega’s skirt. “Your father is summoning you.”
“I am occupied,” he retorts, abruptly kissing the omega’s lips, the unfortunate girl trembling in terror.
“Depart,” I signal to her, and the girl hastily exits the room, expressing her gratitude en route.
“What on earth!” Jaxton growls, but I quell him with a stern look.
“Your father has assigned you a mission,” I state with a composed smile, Caíne’s demeanour brightening.
“Indeed?” He enquires, assuming a more upright posture. “At what time?” What actions am I undertaking? Murder, t*****e? I am willing to do anything-”
“You are accompanying Rocco to locate your elder brother,” I exhale.
“What did you say?” “He enquires, his smile wavering.” “Elder sibling?” “However, I am the Alpha.”
“It appears you are not the sole contender for the title,” I respond while examining my nails. “However, you will ensure that you are the sole surviving heir.”
What is your meaning? Jaxton enquires, my patience diminishing. “It is universally acknowledged that the eldest son inherits the title.”
“Precisely,” I reply with a sneer, advancing towards him so that only he can hear. “This is why you must locate your brother and eliminate him before he seizes what rightfully belongs to you.”
