“Greetings, Mrs. Cleo,” Ricky states with a kind grin. “I am here to register a new guardian for Braylon,” she indicates towards me. “His name is Jadi Jay.”
Mrs. Cleo retrieves a little folder labelled with Braylon’s name and commences completing a brief form.

Ricky’s smile broadens. “Oh, he is the new housekeeper and carer.”

I direct a menacing glance at Ricky, who responds with a smug smile, clearly satisfied with his ability to irritate me. Aware that I cannot refute her assertion without being foolish, I nod slowly at Mrs. Cleo.
“Please affix your signature here.” Pick-ups occur promptly at 5 PM. “Please endeavour to arrive punctually,” she exhales. “A nominal fee is imposed for each instance of lateness.”
I execute the documents, and she affixes her endorsement.
“You are fully prepared, Mr. Jay.” “We will see you here at 5 PM this afternoon,” Mrs. Cleo states with a smile. “Wishing you a pleasant day.”
Ricky guides me down the steps and swiftly exits the school’s sight before grasping my hand as per our arrangement. My heart plummets upon realising that Ricky wished to keep our relationship concealed.
To gain her affection, Jimmy asserts, you must assert yourself and prevent her from disregarding you. I have a proposal.

Ricky persists in disregarding me during our walk to the clinic as I mentally brace myself for Jimmy’s proposition. As we near the clinic, Ricky attempts to release my hold on her hand; however, following Jimmy’s directive, I maintain my grip firmly. She exhales in frustration, and when she attempts once more, I draw her into my embrace and kiss her softly on the lips, a wave of exhilaration coursing through me. Her body remains rigid with astonishment, and I withdraw promptly, preempting any opportunity for her to reprimand me.
Incredibly, Jimmy exclaims as I dash down the road, not glancing back at her. You truly accomplished it! You actually kissed her!
My legs tremble uncontrollably, yet I refrain from succumbing to the floor until I turn the corner, out of her view.
I softly whisper to myself as I delicately caress the area where her lips contacted mine, savouring the exquisite essence of her mouth.
