The sound of the locks jingling at the door halts Little Jadi, prompting him to swiftly close the book and return it to its position on the bookshelf. He combs his fingers over his hair and straightens his shirt, ensuring there are no stray hairs or wrinkles in his attire. Notwithstanding his fractured lip and contused visage, Jadi compels a faint smile to welcome his father. Noel’s frigid stare causes Jadi’s legs to tremble with trepidation, prompting him to swallow audibly. The same individual as before, Rocco, I presume, stands behind Jadi’s father, a grave expression on his face, though he compels a grin for Jadi’s sake.
Noel welcomes his kid in a frosty voice while holding the pack tablet in his palms.
“With your mother deceased and my allies and adversaries believing you are as well, I find you no longer of any utility.” “My wife, Nellie, has bestowed upon me a new heir this morning,” he proclaims, a frown etched into his cheeks. “On the occasion of his 21st birthday, my sole son, Jaxton, will assume the role of Alpha of the Blue Sky pack.”
My heart breaks at witnessing the tears welling in Jadi’s eyes, although he strives to suppress them, biting his lower lip and acquiescing to his father’s pronouncement.
How can he be so composed after being disowned by his own father?
Gamma Rocco appears troubled for the young child, although he refrains from speaking, bowing his head in shame.
Noel extends the tablet pack and directs Jadi to place his hand on the stone. His diminutive fingers cautiously touch the engravings on the tablet, but he recoils when his father seizes his wrist.
“I, Noel Jay, Alpha of the Blue Sky pack, hereby demote you, Jadi Jay, from Alpha to Omega.”
Laura’s Perspective
Jadi abruptly bends over in agony, clutching his head as a faint whimper emerges from his throat. His respiration becomes laboured, and I apprehend that he may lose consciousness with each arduous inhalation. Rocco advances to comfort the small pup, although Noel’s thunderous voice causes him to retreat to his original position.
“Do not pamper him!” Soel cautions, his voice reverberating against the walls. “He must confront his destiny independently.”
Jadi’s legs ultimately succumb, causing him to collapse to his knees till his anguish ceases. Breathless, he gradually lifts his head to confront his father, using his sleeves to wipe away the tears on his cheeks.
“You shall stay here until I devise a method to eliminate your presence,” Noel growls, before pivoting to depart.
Rocco remains still, his gaze fixed on the quivering little lad who is still positioned on his knees.
“I apologize,” he murmurs to Jadi, a solitary tear cascading down his cheek.
“ROCCO!” Soel calls back as Rocco wipes his face and follows his Alpha out the door.
The door crashes closed, the bolts clinking as they secure Jadi in his confinement.
I desire to embrace Jadi and alleviate his suffering, yet as I approach the young kid, he dissipates like sand slipping through my grasp, the recollection dissolving into obscurity.
The darkness endures briefly until I am once more in the same place, Jadi gazing up at his father, with a trembling woman positioned behind him. Upon closer inspection, I discern that it is Melina, somewhat younger yet equally gorgeous as she is presently.
“You will relocate to the Omega house with her,” Noel retorts. “She will assist you in packing your belongings.” He growls as both Melina and Jadi remain immobilised. “Must I reiterate? Proceed!” he orders, propelling Melina into the room.
He departs without uttering another word, as Jadi hastens to assist Melina in standing. Initially, Melina recoils from Jadi’s contact; however, upon realising his intentions are benevolent, she permits him to grasp her hands. She gestures the word “thank you” to him, but Jadi appears to be perplexed. Melina then retrieves a pen and paper from her pocket, and the two exchange silent welcomes.
Jadi quickly develops an affection for Melina, beaming at her with each note she composes.
How long had it been since he last had someone to converse with? I ponder, my heart burdened as I observe him falling in love with Melina.
They exchange multiple notes prior to her assisting him in packing his belongings into a little suitcase. He packs minimally, consisting only of a few garments and a toothbrush. Shortly thereafter, Rocco re-enters the room with a little suitcase, which he presents to Melina.
“These garments are for you,” Rocco articulates slowly to Melina, who merely gazes at him vacantly. “Damn,” Rocco exclaims upon realising she does not comprehend him.
Consequently, however, obtains a sheet of paper and transcribes Rocco’s statements for Melina. She smiles and nods, as Rocco exhales with relief.
