Observed Brianna nodding her head; I was compelled to lean down and kiss her, yet refrained from doing so. He could no longer impose his desires and requirements upon her beyond what he already had. Required to allow her to breathe and provide her with space. That was her desire. He would have to confront it.
It was fortunate for her that she was already Marked by Aiden; otherwise, he would likely have bitten her the moment he discovered her.
Aiden would have been incapable of stopping him, just as he had been unable to restrain his own wolf.
“What was the duration of your search for me?”Brianna enquired softly.
“Hours.” Ryder shook his head. “I have been in the southern woods with Nolan the entire duration.” Both of us were perpetually disoriented, with the warriors and my entire unit repeatedly returning to me, as did Annabella and Nathan.
“Is it because I now possess your scent?””
“Affirmative to them.” Ryder nodded, “You possess a delightful fragrance,” he remarked with a smile, “I may have to track you down yet,” he declared playfully.
Heard her laugh softly and smiled at her, relishing that sound. “I’m serious,” he stated.
Observed Brianna shake her head, stating, “Not going to happen.” “I shall affix it while you slumber one night,” he jested. “An ankle monitor akin to that of a felon.” Ryder laughed to himself.
He perceived her strike him directly on the arm. “Cease,” yet continued to laugh. He appreciated having elicited her laughter; it was a profoundly gratifying sensation, and even Aiden felt content at that moment.
“Hmm.” He contemplated mischievously, “I could bind you to me.” A playful growl emanated from his wolf at the notion. They were likely tempting fate somewhat.
Observed her elevate those exquisite honey-brown eyes towards him while they ambulated, which appeared more golden-brown when illuminated by sunlight filtering through the tree canopy. He considered her exceedingly beautiful.
“Do you believe you could apprehend me to obtain that information?””
“Indeed,” Ryder chuckled softly, “Aiden and I could likely outpace you in a brief sprint, although we would undoubtedly falter in a prolonged pursuit.” However, the sprint was inaccurate; we were quite confident.
“It is intriguing that you hold that opinion.” You possess no knowledge regarding Layla.
“I do not,” he affirmed with a nod. “Let us utilise this brief walk as an opportunity for you to inform Aiden and me about her.”
I observed her contemplate the matter, noting the brief flicker of white as she discussed the idea with her wolf. Subsequently, she shook her head and declared, “No, Layla asserts that this is your punishment, along with your wolves.” Your failure to inform us about that Alpha Duel could have resulted in significant consequences. Layla remains displeased with both of you regarding that matter.
“Fair enough.” Ryder acknowledged, though both he and Aiden were disheartened by this revelation; they sought to understand Layla’s character, not merely her appearance, but also her disposition. Her demeanour in wolf form. Aiden focused primarily on her appearance, as she was his Mate.
Although he and Layla previously shared a strong connection, they were able to communicate constantly and engage in intimate relations in human form. Ryder remained aware that Aiden desired to observe her in wolf form. Aiden could not remember her, nor could Ryder, for that matter. It appeared that no one was capable. It distressed them both.
They traversed the woods until the pack-house became visible, at which point they emerged from the forest into the sight of other pack members. Many individuals were present, and he speculated whether they all sought to ascertain the well-being and safety of their Luna. Numerous individuals acknowledged and saluted both of them.
Hearing many of them greet him with “Alpha, Luna” elicited a smile; he genuinely appreciated it. They observed, for the first time, the couple holding hands, and she did not withdraw her hand when they encountered other individuals.
Brianna remained mostly silent, merely gazing at them and offering a subtle nod in response. Luna is probably still not entirely at ease with the term. Although he anticipated her prompt action. He greatly enjoyed listening to it.
Brianna’s Perspective
Stella embraced her tightly as Ryder opened the Luna Suite door, stepped aside for her to pass, and subsequently exited, closing the door behind him.
“Do not repeat that action.” Stella communicated telepathically to her.
“I apologise; I merely dozed off.”
Nolan has informed me that witches are indeed real as well.
Brianna affirmed with a nod.
She distanced herself from him and observed Logan, who was near the window. “Mum, you missed it; numerous wolves were roaming everywhere.”
“I apologise, I overlooked it,” she whispered. “It must have been a remarkable spectacle.” He approached her immediately. “It was,” he smiled at her. “Something was certainly occurring, but Aunt Stella insisted I remain here.” Excessive numbers of wolves exist in the environment.
Brianna nodded, indicating it was likely beneficial. She was uncertain how Rowan would have managed the situation. Although his wolf was managing its eating in the dining room and had interacted well with Annabella and all of Ryder’s family the previous day. Was presumably acclimating to the group.
“Where were you located?”He enquired of her.
I merely went for a walk. I took a nap in the forest.
He was scowling at her now. “It is premature for a nap.”
“It appears that it was not.” “Perhaps I have not yet fully recuperated,” she said softly. “I require both of you to take a seat; there is a matter we must address.”
“I bet.” Stella remarked, her tone indicating mild annoyance, Brianna discerned. The woman acquired her wolf only yesterday and was already compelled to establish mind-links with individuals at the behest of the Alpha or Nolan, likely finding it displeasing.
The duo seated themselves and gazed at her.
“Ryder has enquired, owing to today’s occurrence.” That is the term she had chosen, as she had been unaware of her absence. How could she assert, “That we all require initiation into the pack.”?
What does that signify?Logan enquired of her. He had previously heard Ryder express it, and she had become irate with the man regarding it.
She observed Stella’s profound frown and understood the reason; her wolf, Fade, would disapprove, or at least that was Annabella’s assertion. Brianna recognised that Carlos would desire her inclusion in the pack, yet she contemplated whether he would be more successful in persuading her to join. Her wolf appeared resistant to the notion, clearly aware of its implications.
