Informed Brianna that he would coordinate all arrangements on his part if she withdrew him from his school in Colorado. It was appropriate for her, as she had substantial work to complete and reconcile. She and Stella would be making numerous calls today and corresponding with their designer, Gloria, to initiate preparations for the store in Helena.
Stella was pleased to learn that Carlos would be working in the same building, which brought her joy. She informed Brianna, beaming, as their relationship was rapidly developing. Brianna merely laughed and remarked, “Oh, there will be no clandestine departures during work hours.”
Stella erupted in laughter and remarked, “Work will serve as my refuge from his grasp,” prompting both of them to chuckle.
Brianna would need to arrange movers for all her and Logan’s belongings, although she would not utilise the pack’s movers. She disregarded Benjamin’s nonchalant mention of the moving van, which remained in the impound in Colorado. She was on the verge of instructing him to manage the situation, but Ryder had preemptively done so. Informed his father to relinquish the matter, asserting that he had already resolved it independently, and that the van would be released tomorrow, returning here the following day.
Brianna was taken aback, yet she felt relief that he had relinquished the matter and accepted accountability, ceasing his attempts to persuade her to retract her assertion that his men had been pilfering her possessions, implicating him as well.
It is probable that he accepted the charges and either has paid or will pay the fine and impound fees. He will probably need his solicitors to represent his associates in court.
She internally sighed, for while she relished in reprimanding Ryder and his father, the movers were pack members merely executing their Alpha’s directives; they were not the individuals she wished to vex or see punished.
She needed to make a call to resolve the situation, contemplating whether she could absolve the men while still imposing a fine on Ryder or his company for exceeding their authority. She harboured scepticism but considered enquiring. Would likely place her in his direct line of fire, yet she could manage him.
She proposed allowing Logan to spend the day with Ryder, as she had numerous tasks to complete, and it would facilitate their bonding. Ryder appeared astonished by her proposal, yet he was exceedingly willing to accept it. Both pairs of eyes turned to Logan to ascertain his opinion. He glanced between them and enquired about her plans for the day; she informed him that she had considerable work to complete. Logan nodded and remarked, “I will accompany Dad then.” She recognised his propensity for boredom and his aversion to remaining in her office during her work hours.
Escorted him to Ryder’s office. The boy positioned himself between them, grasping one of her hands and one of Ryder’s, evidently enjoying the dual connection of having a father while simultaneously holding hands with both. Ryder consistently expressed contentment regarding this matter. She merely smiled and instructed him “to behave.”
“I am consistently well,” he huffed at her, and he had been, until Rowan became stressed and would rise to the surface. Being within the pack was a novel experience for them, surrounded by the other wolves. He had fled into Ryder’s office, and she observed him ascend into Ryder’s chair. “You may wish to…” directed a pointed gaze at the boy as he rotated the chair.
“He is well; I frequently occupied my father’s chair during my upbringing.”
“Hmm, you should take this today,” Brianna remarked as she removed the ring destined for Logan from her finger and presented it to Ryder. “Contingency”
“Understood.” Ryder nodded, observing as he examined it before sliding it onto his own finger.
“NEGATIVE!”Brianna’s heart was abruptly pounding within her chest. “Do not wear it.” He attempted to retract his statement, not wishing for him to become suddenly imperceptible to his own pack.
He grasped both of her hands, smiled down at her, and said, “It’s alright, Brianna; it won’t affect me, only the Dieng gene.” I lack that. Inhale deeply; I remain present, and this will not pose a problem.
Stood gazing up at him, still concerned about his wearing that ring, “I don’t know…” I simply.
“I’m fine, Brianna.” He then leaned down and placed a brief kiss on her lips before she could retreat, “Go work.” He released her hands. “Annabella intends to converse with Stella today regarding Stella’s familial lineage, so you may be left to your own devices.”
“I am aware; Stella has already informed me about their potential relation, or Annabella holds this belief.”
“I heard the same; you have a cousin,” he remarked with a smile, “one you actually appreciate.” Brianna nodded, as it appeared to be the case—a distant cousin, yet likely family, especially if she was also connected to Annabella. “I have numerous tasks to accomplish today; I should depart.” She glanced at Logan. “He can be quite demanding, perpetually requiring activity.”
“That is characteristic of an Alpha child.” Brianna expressed confidence, stating, “I am certain I can manage a day with him.” She nodded and smirked slightly, adding, “With minimal sleep, it may become bothersome.” She then laughed and departed.
“Brianna, you are welcome to utilise Luna’s office today; I have had it cleaned,” he called after her as she departed.
Ascended the stairs and exhaled, her office… would probably need to be utilised eventually, as they were not departing and she was aware of it. Layla had internally designated Ryder and Aiden as her Mate, and she was quite content to observe him through Brianna’s perspective. At times, it appeared as though I derived a semblance of happiness from observing him.
Logan and Rowan appeared at ease and expressed contentment in Ryder’s presence. Content with their father’s presence. She was uncertain about Rowan and Aiden; however, Rowan had not exhibited aggression towards anyone for several days and had permitted himself to be integrated into the pack.
It appeared that Rowan had surrendered his Alpha’s compulsion to dominate his surroundings and was complying with her request, behaving merely as a subordinate wolf. That was beneficial. Rowan now possessed a father and a genuine biological connection to him. It may indeed be beneficial for him; those two wolves could be conversing and establishing rapport.
Brianna entered her suite and gathered her belongings to transport to her office on the first floor. She remained stationary, had permitted herself to be inducted into the pack, had reluctantly acquiesced to utter the terms Mate and Luna, was unprepared for his entire unit to hear those words spoken aloud, and was still acclimating to the concept herself.
Now that she had been initiated into the pack, the previously half-realized bond felt intensified, and she began to experience a deeper connection with Ryder. He was, in fact, quite comfortable in his presence now as well.
She stood outside the closed door of the Luna Office, having not had a proper view of it, as Ryder had hastily withdrawn them from the room and slammed the door shut. She expressed her regret regarding the situation, shaking her head; the man was replete with apologies. She had never encountered an Alpha who would apologise for his actions or those of others, even for matters beyond his control.
