The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 138

Gentlemen

Daisy perceived that this man would remain unmoved. Likely selected for his unquestioning compliance with directives.

“What is your rank?”“She enquired nonchalantly.”

I detected the smile in his voice: “Elite Warrior, you will not evade me or my team, miss.” He appeared to be unfooled.

“Group?”She frowned now, indicating not merely one, but an entire team. Caelan exhibited madness. If he had a team providing protection for anyone, it should be for his partner, Lydia.

“Yes,” he replied, but did not provide additional details.

Daisy sighed, indicating that she was to have a bodyguard. As she walked, John remained incarcerated, to her knowledge; thus, the reason for this arrangement was unclear. She was unaware.

“What is the duration of your availability and that of your team?””

“Until the Alpha or Beta returns,” he asserted, as he had previously.

“When do you anticipate their arrival?””

I am not. I refrain from enquiring about the whereabouts or activities of my Alpha. I merely adhere to his directives.

Daisy sighed, exasperated with the man, contemplated evading him, scrutinised his demeanour, and he smiled directly at her, saying, “Try it.”

“What directives do you possess, if I do?”She was not so unintelligent.

He chuckled, “Wouldn’t you like to be informed?””

“I would,” she replied candidly.

“To put it succinctly.. Would you notify the Alpha and the Beta? Do you genuinely wish to provoke their ire?”

Daisy now turned to gaze directly at him. Mason would never exhibit wrath.

“Do you believe your Alpha will refrain from punishing you?”He appeared rather entertained.

I am going out with my friends this evening. “You should bring your dancing shoes,” she said as she walked ahead of him. He accompanied her to the town centre, where she procured food and a cup of tea, subsequently consuming her meal while he remained standing, indifferent to the attention they attracted. It was exceedingly vexatious for her.

Despite Ella’s assertion that Caelan had individuals trailing her from afar during their Mate Bond, she had never perceived it. Had this been the experience? It was peculiar, to say the least. Poor Lydia, once marked by him, appeared destined for a life devoid of privacy.

She returned to her room to paint. Luna Elizabeth was discovered standing in her room, gazing at the canvas. The paint remained uncovered and was still wet. Daisy had been engaged in it throughout the morning.

She had, nonetheless, been attempting to conceal it.

“When did you commence it?””

Daisy informed her, “After I was discharged from the hospital,” while a picture of Caelan smiling was displayed on a nearby stand for reference.

“You accomplished it.”

Daisy affirmed with a nod. “It took me several days; the man appeared pleased to participate in his inaugural Alpha meeting within the pack.”

“I cannot fathom this.” Luna Elizabeth exhaled softly as she retrieved the photograph and caressed it delicately. “The boy has not smiled in an extended period.”

“I intended to maintain it as a secret to astonish you.”

“You, Daisy, have astonished me,” she remarked, turning to smile directly at her. “Did you acquire any others?”

Daisy replied, “I did,” as she approached her laptop, powered it on, and gestured for Luna to take a seat. Displayed all the photographs she had captured, including those of Caelan and Mason, as the secret was revealed, rendering further concealment unnecessary.

“Oh my Goddess, observe them.” Similar to their adolescent years.

Daisy comprehended her intent. A slight twinge of pain affected her. She referred to the time prior to his awakening as her mate. He was 20 years old at that time. She had devastated his life, as Caelan had consistently informed her on numerous occasions.

“May I take one?””

I would prefer to decline at this time. He will perceive it, realise I was covertly manoeuvring, and may implicate me in difficulties. I neither desire nor require that from him.

Luna chuckled softly for a moment, appearing amused by something in her words, “When will it be completed?””

“Indeed, I shall provide you with whichever ones you desire, once the portrait is completed.”

“I desire them all,” she stated, turning to Daisy with a radiant smile. “He resembles Ronan when he smiles.”

“Attractive, when he is not irritable.” Daisy acknowledged, observing his mother arch an eyebrow at her inflection. Daisy elaborated with a shrug, “I never observed him smile.”

“Not a single time…even…well”

“No, not even then.” She understood the implications of what his mother was referencing, whether prior to or following intercourse. “A perpetually scowling man,” she remarked, “appears younger when he smiles.”

“It does,” she affirmed, then redirected her attention to the photographs. “I am uncertain how to express my gratitude.”

“Refrain.” This one is complimentary, in gratitude for all that you and Alpha Ronan have done for me throughout the years. Even subsequent to my departure.

“I appreciate your assistance, Daisy.”

“At any moment.”

Luna Elizabeth exited Daisy’s room, still smiling to herself, vowing to maintain confidentiality. Pleased with the realisation that Caelan was capable of smiling.

His portrait was likely to astonish his entire pack. She smiled and returned to the canvas, grasping a brush to resume her work. She absently contemplated the value of the frame his mother would select as she painted.

The girls arrived at 9 PM to go dancing. She was prepared, adorned in pale blue low-rise, well-tailored jeans and a long-sleeved flared top, off the shoulder, in an attractive dark pink hue. A pair of black suede ankle boots featuring a 3-inch heel. Her hair was down, and she was adorned with dark pink lipstick, black eyeliner, and smoky grey eyeshadow. Prepared for an evening out with friends.

“Who is the muscle?”Ella smiled at her after observing the new men following them, three in total rather than one at that moment. Why was she unaware?

“I am uncertain,” she replied with a shrug. “A matter Caelan insisted upon, for reasons unknown.”

All the girls erupted in laughter. “Well,” Ella remarked, turning to the three men, “I trust you gentlemen enjoy drinking and dancing.” It is ladies’ night at Thiago’s.
