The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 137

Directives

“Satisfactory, to the best of my knowledge.” It did not even cause her pain… John…. Conversely, intriguing response.

What is the implication of that statement?”

“Follow me,” Mason gestured for his father to accompany him. His gaze fell upon the woman, who remained with her family, smiling directly at him, clearly aware that he posed no threat to her harmonious domestic life.

Proceeding towards the cells with his father.

John’s initial utterances were imbued with concern and sorrow, expressing anxiety for Jo0-Jo. He implored to see her, exhibiting a sense of desperation, and fervently requested permission to merely behold her, even vowing to offer an apology.

Mason instructed his father to “just wait.” It was not long before John transformed into a malevolent figure, uttering vile remarks about Caelan’s alleged involvement in her death. He and his father observed. I observed that unfortunate individual oscillate between two personas: one, a compassionate father, and the other, a malevolent figure who had attempted to harm her.

“I believe you should euthanise him, son,” his father advised, “there is no benefit to be gained from him now.” It appears he has entirely lost his sanity.

Mason nodded in agreement as they returned to the pack-house. How is mother following yesterday’s events?”

“She is well, Joe.” I was more troubled by your apparent lack of effort to combat for your survival.

“I cannot inflict harm upon her, you are aware of that.”

“Joe, self-defence is a legitimate concept.” Utilise it on the next occasion. “Alternatively, I will arrange a sparring match between you and your mother.”

Mason grinned at that. “Arrange it.” It is merely her and I; let us determine the victor. I appreciate a vigorous confrontation.

“Son, she possesses greater strength than any of us, including young Daisy, I understand.”

Mason nodded in gratitude.

“Caelan is genuinely apprehensive regarding John’s remarks,” he exhaled.

John is mentally unstable. These are merely musings; there is no need for concern.

“He has already immersed himself in work.”

“That is his method of coping, Joe; you are aware of this.”

“I understand; it is merely that…” he faltered.

“Indeed, you are not the sole observer of the alterations in him since her return.”

“Modifications?”Mason ceased walking. “He ceased smoking the moment she informed him it was detrimental to his health.”

His progenitor chuckled. “She exerts a Mates effect on him; I am aware that we all observe it, Joe.”

“What if he is not?””

“Do you genuinely hold that belief?””

“I am uncertain; he exhibits a different demeanour in her presence, yet their history is unfavorable.”

“It will resolve itself, Joe.” Are you still vexing the man regarding the woman?”

Affirmative!He emitted a chuckle.

“You provoke the bear, son.”

“You get bitten,” Joe laughed. “I have been bitten before and survived.” Everything is satisfactory.

His father directed a smile towards him. “You both exhibit peculiar behaviour in the presence of that girl.”

Caelan requires coercive guidance towards the appropriate path. I am willing to undertake the task.

Is it functioning?”

“Ah, I remain hopeful… At times I perceive it, while at other instances he continues to behave as he typically does.” However, he has had ample opportunity to exhibit unpleasant behaviour and limited experience in alternative conduct, rendering the situation challenging.

“I presume so. How did you manage to secure his entry into the Alpha Suite?””

“I did not; he ceased to sleep in his room and began to sleep elsewhere following Alpha Kaiden’s kiss with Daisy.” He then relocated to the suite while she was hospitalised. Mason smiled to himself, contemplating his passionate kiss, though he refrained from voicing it.

What information do you possess?”

Mason chuckled, “Not more than the Luna.”

“You are quite the enigmatic scoundrel,” his father remarked as he pushed him. Mason retaliated with a shove, and before he realised it, they were grappling on the ground, attempting to subdue one another while laughing.

Daisy’s Perspective

Caelan did not visit her; it appeared that Mason was responsible for checking on her following the dissolution of her bond with John, which she did not mind, as she appreciated Mason’s company.the company of He accompanied her when she wished to go somewhere. Each time she exited her room, he was approaching the stairs to greet her. It was somewhat unsettling that he was aware she was departing her room or heading elsewhere.

She wished to release Amelia and sought permission, yet remained apprehensive about Hudson and Amelia encountering one another. His wolf had acknowledged her with a wink, and Caelan had kissed her in the hospital, leaving her with guilt. Poor Lydia must be enduring immense distress with Daisy’s return to the pack. She did not intend for any of it to occur; she had not initiated any of it. Was it solely his wolf or Caelan himself?

Despite the kiss in the hospital, she reciprocated. A portion of her had consistently contemplated the experience of him kissing her in that manner. During the initial year of their Bond, she had made an attempt, and curiosity had consistently persisted. She dismissed it.

Mason had rejected her request citing potential safety concerns. When she enquired about its meaning, he remained silent and merely shrugged; nevertheless, Amelia still desired to go for a run. Daisy was currently considering allowing her without seeking permission. She had observed Caelan and Mason depart in Caelan’s vehicle, thus it was secure. Amelia would not be in proximity to Hudson, although Daisy was unaware if they had departed from the pack or were merely elsewhere.

She exited her room and observed a man seated on a chair directly across the hall from her door. His gaze fixed upon her, and then he rose. Are you departing to a specific location?“He enquired of her.”

Daisy declined and proceeded to walk down the hall. He matched her pace, and she glanced upward at him. “Are you departing somewhere?””

“Wherever you may be.” He informed her nonchalantly, “Alpha’s directives.”

Daisy halted her movement and gazed at him.

“What?””

“Alpha’s directives dictate that wherever you proceed, I shall accompany you.” Until he or the Beta returns.

It appeared that she now had a perpetual companion. “What is the reason?”She enquired and proceeded down the corridor.

The man replied with a shrug, “I am merely adhering to directives.”

“I do not require your presence wherever I go,” she asserted bluntly.

“That may be true, but I have directives to adhere to.”
