The Alpha’s Possession – Chapter 134

Infiltrated

I am en route.

Mason, there appears to be an incident occurring at the cells; you may wish to attend.

“Please await my arrival.”

Caelan was merely a few paces from her chamber. He halted and awaited. MASON arrived a minute later, and they proceeded in that direction. Upon entering the Cells, I could hear the screams emanating from John as I glanced at my guard.

He shrugged, stating, “No one is permitted entry or exit from Alpha, as instructed.” Commenced screaming and thrashing, exhibiting a fit unlike anything I have witnessed or heard previously.

It certainly appeared so; upon entering, they observed the man exhibiting an extreme display of distress, to the extent that he had descended from the hook, lying on the ground while writhing and vociferating in agony. As if he were reclining on scorching embers, inflicting burns upon his entire body. He gazed at Mason, who merely shrugged.

“It commenced when she severed her connection with him, I presume,” Caelan leaned against the cell bars.

Mason remarked, “She experienced no emotions.”

“No, but he is,” the man exclaimed in torment. It appeared; how do you suppose he descended?“

“Acrobatics, who can say?””

John’s gaze ultimately located Caelan’s. “What actions did you take towards her?”He shouted in an attempt to rise.

“Nothing.” I did not harm her.

“You are deceiving,” he shouted, finally rising from the floor. “I cannot perceive her.”

Caelan and Mason recoiled as the man lunged forward, attempting to grasp Caelan through the bars, his hands outstretched and fingers clawing at the air.

“I will kill you,” he suddenly shouted, then he grasped the bars, attempting to break them, kicking and throwing himself against them.

This was a novel turn of events. The man had attempted to murder her himself, yet now he sought to kill Caelan due to his inability to perceive her. “Let us rehang him; he may attempt suicide,” Caelan observed, as the man seemed to be engulfed in a state of grief-fueled rage regarding the woman.

As soon as the cell door opened, he charged at them, yelling in fury. The two individuals dragged him back to the centre of the room and elevated him onto the hook again. He subsequently expelled both of them.

He gazed at the man convulsing, “I presume you are experiencing the anguish of her severing connections with you.”

“She would not even possess the knowledge to accomplish that,” he exclaimed. “I am her father.” She would not.

I possessed the knowledge and conveyed it to her. Caelan stated plainly, “Joe assisted in persuading her.”

“No, what would compel you to do that?”He abruptly wept.

“She is my only daughter, all I possess.” In fact, tears of sorrow streamed down the man’s face. What was the matter with this man?

“What is the reason?” Are you lacking intelligence? You attempted to murder her.

“I did not intend it,” he exclaimed, “I did not desire to.”

Caelan observed Mason; the man appeared truly sincere, brimming with contrition.

“It appears credible, yet I witnessed it firsthand and heard his laughter.” He desired to accomplish it.

“It was not I,” he exclaimed. “I would never harm Caelan,” he frowned. “However, you did, even prior to your attempt on her life, your wolf assaulted her.”

“He did not intend it; we are perplexed.”

“What is causing the confusion?”The man appeared excessively loquacious. It is prudent to seek answers promptly.

“I am uncertain; it was she, yet…” he faltered.

“However?””

I am uncertain how to articulate it. Allow me to observe her. I desire to see her; I must ascertain her vitality with my own eyes.

“That will not occur,” MASON retorted.

“She is my daughter; I wish to see her,” he shouted at them.

Caelan sighed, “She is not yours, and I will not permit you to see her.” He then turned and exited the cell, closing and locking the door once Mason had departed.

He gazed directly at the man; even Mason, with a hand on Caelan’s arm, observed it as well.

The man’s demeanour had altered; a malevolent smirk adorned his face. “She will ultimately perish at your hands, Caelan.” “It is inevitable, you understand,” his words were laden with menace.

“I, in contrast to you, would never inflict harm upon her,” Caelan retorted before departing.

The man’s malevolent laughter resonated, sending a shiver through him. “Just one bite, Caelan ley, and you will desire to kill her.” You will be unable to assist yourself. “You will observe.”

He turned and gazed at the man, terror coursing through him. John’s gaze was fixed upon his, conveying the sincerity of his words, which were imbued with lethal conviction.

John derided him directly. “I hope to be alive to witness it, to observe your anguish when you take her life.”

Mason grasped him and extricated him from the cell. The man was laughing maniacally one moment and then sobbing uncontrollably the next.

The man exhibited significant abnormalities.

“Disregard his words, Caelan.” He is evidently deranged. Attend to him now; that is the auditory manifestation of madness.

Caelan pivoted and observed the cells. The man was vociferously calling out Daisy’s name, overwhelmed by anguish, and subsequently erupted into maniacal laughter, resembling a split personality. The phrase that troubled him the most was, ‘Just one bite, Caelan ley, and you’ll desire to kill her.’ John’s wolf had bitten her; one bite, and he subsequently attempted to kill her.

He pivoted and departed, having heard sufficient; it was evident he had previously bitten her. He had not intended to kill her at that moment; however, he was indifferent to the alpha’s command for her to kneel that day and did not care if she had perished as a result, until Mason intervened. What if it were true?

Whenever he felt anger towards her family, he directed his frustration at her.

At that time, she was underage, her identity not yet fully developed. What if a bite had transformed him, leaving him internally conflicted, simultaneously loving and resenting her, unable to comprehend his own emotions? He had yearned for her intensely, yet when it came to asserting his alpha dominance over her, he felt no emotional response, acting as if compelled to do so.

What if a bite were to push him over the brink? She had reached maturity; her blood would have changed. If he were to be her Mate and marked her, would he be incapable of restraining himself from causing her harm? To prevent her from being killed? Fear was encroaching upon him. Hudson intended to visit Amelia today, and he consistently harboured anger towards her. He ceased walking. He wished to avoid causing her pain.

“Caelan, do not allow him to manipulate your thoughts, my friend,” Mason articulated.

Caelan turned his head, having forgotten that Mason was accompanying him. It was too late; the man had already infiltrated his mind, and he was aware of it. His connection to her had always seemed inappropriate to him; he had previously conveyed this to Mason.
