“Do not provoke me.” She fixed her gaze upon him.
She sensed Logan’s gaze upon her, turned to face him, and exhaled deeply. Her tone contained a hint of anger, and she was aware of it. Although Rowan may be asleep, it does not imply that he would remain so if Logan became agitated.
“It was a recommendation, Brianna.” I will not compel you. I informed you that I would allocate time to you. I intended that.
She was eager to express her thoughts on the matter; it did not seem like a mere suggestion to her. Having been awake for barely 12 hours, he was already seeking to reintegrate her into his pack. He claimed he would grant her time, yet he did not. Continued to exert pressure to obtain his desires expeditiously. She not only awoke within his pack but was also marked by him. Indeed, he intended to provide her with the time she required. Negative.
“Prepare Logan; it is acceptable.” “I am simply fatigued, hence somewhat irritable,” Brianna remarked. “Do not disturb Rowan because of it.”
“Very well, but you will not engage in conflict with father, correct?”With her eyes closed, it was entirely plausible that if he continued to press her, she might retaliate by striking him with all of Layla’s strength directly in his foolish face. However, she would suppress that until his absence. “No, Logan,” she replied, “it has been an arduous day.” She did not appreciate the comment, and indeed, she had not. 12 arduous hours.
Indeed, that provides her with the necessary time.
“What is the reason for my presence here?”She directed her gaze towards the man in question. “to your group?””
“You required hospitalisation, Brianna.”
“I am certain there would have been multiple instances in Toronto.”
I observed him frown and say, “You required a veterinary hospital, not a human one.” We departed in haste to avoid a potential vampire attack, as we would have been significantly outnumbered and swiftly overwhelmed.
Brianna conceded, merely sighing, “I am hungry and fatigued,” she informed him.
What is your preferred meal choice?“He enquired plainly.”
“I am indifferent; I consume nearly all types of food.”
“I do not desire vegetables,” Logan interjected, demonstrating his attentiveness to their conversation.
“Hmm, you never do,” Brianna remarked, shaking her head and yawning. She was increasingly succumbing to the allure of sleep, which was rapidly enveloping her. Perhaps sleep would suffice for her. “Logan, why don’t you accompany your father to procure food?” she suggested. This should bring joy to the man.
“Brianna?”It was Ryder.
“I am quite fatigued; you should proceed to eat.” She remarked, stifling another yawn.
He abruptly appeared before her. “Brianna?”He appeared anxious.
Gazed directly at him and blinked, unaware of his proximity. She likely closed her eyes briefly, perhaps in a micro-sleep, and said, “Go, I’m fine.”
“I will contact the physician; perhaps you are not prepared to leave the hospital.” His hand caressed her face.
Pushed him away from her. “I am simply fatigued; you stated that the physician informed you I would experience fatigue for a day or two.”
“I am uncertain; you appear to be nearly dozing off during our conversation.” He scowled at her while taking a seat beside her.
Brianna arose and recognised that Layla was already asleep. “It has been a prolonged day, both emotionally and physically; Layla is fatigued, and I believe her exhaustion is affecting me.”
“Are you confident?” “You have lost a significant amount of blood.” Ryder was now standing as well, gazing down at her with a frown.
“I will be fine,” she dismissed him with a wave. “Go, take Logan and procure some dinner; I intend to rest for a while.”
He gazed at her for an extended duration, as if attempting to evaluate her. He observed his head tilt slightly and recognised that he was employing his wolf senses to assess her heart rate and respiration. “You are not experiencing any pain,” he remarked. This is a statement, not a question.
“What?” Negative.
“I am merely articulating a fact that I am already aware of.”
“How could you ascertain this?”Brianna arched an eyebrow, though her primary desire was for him to depart so she could recline.
“Brianna, I sensed your injury; I was aware of your knee injury before you informed me.” Experienced every excruciating blow from that vampire and even sensed its consumption of you. Aiden was provoked into a tremendous fury; it was fortunate that he remained restrained within me in his haste to reach you.
She was gazing at him with a profound frown, unable to comprehend that he lacked any evidence of her identity and had not detected her scent at that moment.
I will allow you to rest, but I require Dr. Daniel to examine you first thing in the morning. I will remain with Logan until bedtime,” observed him as he turned to lift the boy and said, “Come on, let us procure an early dinner and allow mother to rest.”
Uncertain of how to interpret his words, she felt fatigued, changed into her pyjamas, and settled into bed. It was gentle and cosy, enveloping a pillow and permitting slumber to seize her.
Brianna’s Perspective
Brianna awoke in a dimly lit room. She felt utterly hollow, to the extent that her stomach was genuinely aching at that moment. Perceived Layla’s lament within her consciousness, sensed her gently probing at the peripheries of her psyche. They were famished. She had not consumed dinner and fell asleep shortly after Layla.
