The Alpha’s Second Chance – Chapter 183

Hoarse

Stella had encircled the boy. He ultimately screamed; his wolf had diminished the instant Stella embraced him, as he was traumatised by the separation from his mother. Ryder was aware, yet he could not allow Rowan to engage in conflict with him in the vehicle throughout the entire journey over her physical presence. Stella had embraced the boy who wept in her arms.

He had never encountered anything similar; their vehicle had closely pursued his and Lucas’s. The moment he exited the car and proceeded towards the pack hospital, he could once again hear Stella and Nolan attempting to restrain the boy’s wolf. This was entirely different now. He appeared to be hearing Rowan growling and snarling at the other wolves that had unexpectedly surrounded him while they traversed the pack hospital.

Ryder placed Brianna directly into the Luna’s medical suite. His pack doctor, Daniel, awaited their arrival and had everything prepared. Ryder had withdrawn to allow them to proceed with their work. Nolan communicated telepathically, ‘Ryder Rowan is truly deteriorating.’ He could perceive the boy’s wolf and glanced at Brianna, recognising she was in capable hands, and proceeded towards the boy. Discovered him with Rowan, entirely superficial; even Stella could no longer reach him.

He traversed the hallway, aware that he was jeopardising his own son’s wolf attacking him, yet felt compelled to proceed.

He required Rowan to compose himself. Ryder observed two of his nurses exposing their necks to his son, and he understood why Stella was unable to restrain him. She was weeping on the floor, influenced by the Alpha Aura emanating from Rowan. She was merely human and experienced considerable suffering as a result.

He approached Rowan and seized him, attempting to be gentle; however, the wolf confronted him with a formidable snarl, exuding his Alpha Aura. He managed to dispel it, as he was still quite young.

“Cease, Rowan,” he declared, kneeling to align himself with the boy and his wolf.

Received a set of claws directly to his shoulder as Rowan struck him, and could detect the scent of his own blood. “Observe Stella,” he urged him. Aiden was distanced, aware of his contribution to the situation, yet profoundly concerned about the exhibited behaviour, which was decidedly abnormal. “Your aura is causing her distress,” he informed the wolf.

Rowan’s gaze shifted to Stella, whose face was streaked with tears as she was compelled to the ground by him. “Please, calm down.” Rowan struck again, leaving a scratch across his chest as the wolf pivoted and lunged at Ryder.

I heard both Luca and Enzo declare, ‘Stay out of it.’

He severed the mental connection with the two of them and then pulled Rowan tightly against him in an effort to restrain him. “Shh, son, calm down.” He stood and moved away from the others, carrying the struggling boy and his wolf into the Luna suite.

“Observe, Rowan.” “She is present,” he directed the boy and his wolf to confront their mother. He was still emanating his Aura. Ryder observed the nurse and Dr. Daniel gazing at the boy with evident concern.

“We are nearly finished,” Dr. Daniel informed him.

Ryder stood and restrained the struggling Rowan until everyone exited the room, then placed him beside the bed where Brianna rested. A wolf clamped down on his leg, and Ryder distinctly sensed Aiden’s snarl within his consciousness before retreating to the distant corners of his mind, displeased with the situation.

He sighed as Rowan moved away from him towards the head of Brianna’s bed, emitting a growl. “Rowan, please, I am merely attempting to assist.” You are aware of this.

“Out.” The boy’s wolf roared directly at him, sending a shiver through Ryder and elevating Aiden’s consciousness from the profound depths of his mind. This was unsatisfactory. Gazed at the boy for approximately ten seconds before turning and departing. He required Rowan to regain composure.

Presumably traumatised by his observations, had the boy’s wolf been composed, he would have permitted him to accompany Brianna rather than separating them. He stood in the hall with his eyes closed, awaiting his calmness to attempt once more. He was unaware of the events that transpired; the wolf had entirely lost control upon exiting the vehicle, yet it was a separate matter to require the presence of his mother.

He had turned against the pack members, snarling and growling at anyone who approached him, having completely lost control, as Nolan had linked him; there was something else occurring here, though he remained unaware of its nature.

Outside Luna’s suite, Ryder could hear the boy weeping in the room with Brianna. His wolf had diminished; it appeared that only Logan’s voice was audible, pleading for her to awaken.

They possessed no one else, solely each other. Ryder discerned that the boy was profoundly fearful that his mother would not awaken. They may have possessed knowledge that he lacked. Perceived an aspect of his mother’s condition that Ryder could not.

He allowed him a few moments of solitude until Ryder could no longer endure the sound of his son’s anguish, which was profoundly distressing to him. He turned and entered the room, indifferent to the possibility of Rowan emerging and attacking him again. He needed to console his son, irrespective of the actions of the boys’ wolf.

Upon entering the room, he observed Logan positioned by her bedside, weeping profusely. He grasped Brianna’s hand with one hand while shaking her with the other, fervently imploring her to awaken.

Ryder knelt and lifted him, whispering, “I’m sorry.” He embraced the boy, who sobbed more intensely and clung to him. He remained beside her bed, cradling his son against his chest until the boy’s sobs diminished. Neither did I wish to withdraw any more than Logan did. Both desired proximity to her.

Logan permitted himself to be embraced and consoled for nearly 30 minutes before declaring, “put me down.”

Ryder crouched and assisted him to his feet, gazing at him with sorrow. He attempted to sweep the hair from the boy’s eyes, but the boy averted his gaze and said, “Get out.” It was Rowan’s hoarse voice, with his wolf once again dominating the boy. Ryder attempted to contact him once more, only to be met with a glare of furious white eyes. “Out,” Rowan growled.
