The Alpha’s Second Chance – Chapter 151

Composure

She observed Luca placing Logan on the car’s hood, indifferent to potential damage to the rental vehicle, as he retrieved his phone with one hand while stabilising Logan with the other, presumably to prevent him from falling or wandering off.

Brianna observed Logan, who appeared at ease with Luca’s contact, although the boy was focused on Ryder as he approached the SUV to confront the man inside regarding Stella.

Speculated whether Luca maintained contact with Logan for a specific purpose, given their awareness of his strong attachment to Stella; questioned if both Ryder and Luca were concerned that Logan’s wolf might manifest and attempt to assert dominance. She considered it a possibility. She was uncertain whether he would emerge and confront Miguel upon seeing him.

He turned at the sound of a male American accent, which conveyed evident annoyance: “Just follow instructions for once, and you will not be harmed.”

She observed Miguel exiting the hotel’s front door, exerting a firm grip on Stella’s upper arm. Bruising was already evident on Stella’s arms, indicative of the force used to coerce her into their car, as they had dragged her across the street and struggled to confine her when she resisted.

At this moment, it was evident that his fingers were painfully digging into her arm, and the anguish was visible on Stella’s face. She appeared exceedingly distressed as well. Her typically tidy hair and appearance had vanished. She appeared dishevelled now. Brianna observed that her hair was dishevelled and that she had evidently been weeping.

She took the shot despite the excruciating pain in her knee, which felt as though it might give way, but the brace provided support, allowing her to remain upright. She disregarded the pain surging through her knee, aware that she had likely exacerbated the injury, yet prioritised Stella over her own discomfort.

Stella was scowling at the man who was pulling her by the arm, while Philip was oblivious to Brianna’s approach, preoccupied with Stella and attempting to compel her compliance. She approached him swiftly.

Her hand firmly grasped his forearm as she unleashed Layla upon him, channelling all her strength into her grip, compelling him to relinquish Stella. The moment his fingers slackened, she swiftly extracted Stella from his hold with her other hand and turned her away, aware that Miguel could not maintain his grip on Stella while Layla was effectively constricting his forearm.

“You scoundrel.” She hissed directly at him.

Heard him gasp in agony and observed his other hand rise to strike her, she smiled directly at him, “Yes, strike me.” She effectively challenged him, effortlessly blocked the blow, and deflected it downward as she had been trained to do. She then contorted the arm she grasped until he cried out in agony, hearing it crack and break alongside his scream of distress. Subsequently, they released him solely to position her foot against his knee.

She observed with satisfaction as he knelt on one knee, emitting further groans of pain. Grasping a handful of his hair, she yanked his head back to compel him to meet her gaze. “If you ever touch my friend again,” she hissed, leaning in so her face was merely an inch from his, “you will endure an eternity of suffering.” “I will fracture every bone in your body.” They growled at him, and to ensure he comprehended the explicit nature of their threat, struck him directly in the face, noting the absence of fractures and witnessing blood cascade down his visage.

She could detect the fear emanating from him; Layla’s presence had intimidated him. Not so formidable now, she mused, as she glared down at him. He was gazing directly into her white eyes, unlike Brianna’s usual brown ones.

Which he would have observed upon gazing at her for the first time.

Heard Layla produce a low, threatening growl, prompting him to retreat from her. The moment she released his hair, it appeared he comprehended the message unequivocally.

“Brianna?”It was Stella.

They turned to her, observed Stella’s eyes widen, and Layla withdrew, ceding control back to Brianna.

Are you well?Brianna approached Stella and embraced her. “I was exceedingly concerned,” she whispered earnestly, not wishing to lose her friend in such a manner.

Stella embraced her in return and enquired, “Where is Nolan?”“She enquired gently.”

Brianna leaned back to observe Stella, noting the bruises on her arms and frowning at the red mark on her left cheek. “I was searching for you at the airport.” She had not encountered that previously. “Did he strike you?”She extended her hand and caressed the woman’s cheek delicately. Stella acquiesced. I attempted to escape from him, believing I could reach Mr. Wood in his chamber. Upon reaching me, he struck me for it.” Tears welled in her eyes now.

Brianna redirected her gaze towards Miguel. He was undoubtedly a deceased individual; she sensed Layla’s fury intertwining with her own in response to this revelation. Released Stella and aimed at Miguel. All their surface anger was poised to retaliate with all the strength they possessed.

Immediately lifted off the ground, I recognised it was Luca. “Compose yourself; Nolan will handle the situation,” he instructed her while redirecting her away from the man.

In her fury, she screamed at him to release her, as he denied her the opportunity to exact vengeance on the despicable man who had not only abducted her friend but also inflicted harm upon her. Brianna was entirely swept away and returned to the car, positioned directly in front of Logan. “Enough, Brianna. The human world requires calm, Layla.” I comprehend the necessity.

“Release me,” she hissed at him, but he restrained her arms against her sides with a vice-like grip, demonstrating his superior strength.

“I am not Nolan; I cannot soothe you. Therefore, either self-soothe or endure my grip on you.” She turned her head to glance at Miguel over the man’s shoulder and observed Ryder lifting Miguel off the ground. He was also pulling another man, presumably the one from the car, with a hand grasping that man’s elbow. Neither of them matched his Alpha Wolf strength.
